I don't know if it fell off on its own or DS2 knocked it off, but my Haakaa just fell off and dumped 2-3oz all over the couch. Thankfully we cover the couch with a blanket at all times because of the dog so I could just toss it in the wash, but I'm pissed I just lost that milk. Oh-no, this would probably have me in tears of frustration. Sorry for your lost milk! with dd1 I literally cried when I accidentally left a few ounces out over night and had to throw them away. With dd2 she won't take a bottle still so we waste a lot of milk trying to get her to eat from a bottle. I have high hopes that one day I'll actually get to use my freezer stash...

Last night not only did DD have to be in my bed with me, but she also had to have one of my nipples in her mouth all. night. long. Of course she'd fall asleep and release it, but then she'd quickly wake up and be slobbing all around, flailing her arm, trying to get it back in her mouth. If I tried to move her away from them she scream-cried. I can't win 😭

We took DD to her first movie today! 😂 Ralph Breaks the Internet. Both kids did really well. I miss going to the movies, so it was nice to go. DS loves it.

Leap 3 is kicking our ass here and none of us are getting much sleep (except dd1 who thankfully is sleeping great right now). Just go to sleep babies!

We took the kids to see Santa today. Naturally this means that today would be the day for DD to have a big blowout all up her back! Can you believe, I've been doing this parenting gig for 2.5 years now and this was my first public blowout?! It was not fun! Thankfully most of the poo was contained within her underneath onsie and very little poo-moisture had gotten onto her Santa-pictures outfit. I was able to salvage the outfit and just change the underneath onsie.
It's time for size 2 diapers.

akwild let me know how the Zen works if you get yours before I also get desperate and Prime one 😉 Also, enjoy your trip!! We are finally home and P used the Zen for the first time last night. On our trip she started sleeping from 9/10-3am. Our first night was the same. So we will see if anything changes. If not they are nice quality sleep sacks, which is what we used with M.

P woke up again at 3 starving, so I fed her and she went right back down. It’s 830 now and she’s still sleeping! She stirred a few times but was able to settle herself. Idk if it’s her age or the Zen but I am hoping this is a new trend. My 3 year old got up before my baby..... We are making cookies today with my mom so it should be a good day.

We took dd1's binky away cold turkey last night. I've been dreading taking her binky away for like a year so I was so anxious and was expecting a hours long tantrum. She actually went to sleep relatively fast and slept all night without crying about it ☺️

I had sent a link for MH to check out that Zen Sack saying maaaaaybe it might help DD sleep better - apparently he ordered it right then! Haha! He's also desperate for her to stop crying every time we try to lay her down. So it arrived a couple days later. I haven't opened it yet though because I think she's just in a phase. Some nights she's fine in her normal sleep sack. Other nights are a horror. So I'm not sure I want to keep an almost $40 sleep sack.... 😕

I'm also dreading taking it away because he cries for it every night when we start getting his jammies on.

On the topic of sleep - according to WW, yesterday was the last day for Leap 3 for us. I've been able to lay DD down MOTN without issue the past two nights. Crazy.

Yesterday I had sort of a breakdown from being so frustrated with dd2 only sleeping 40 minutes in her rock and play after rocking her for 20-30 minutes sometimes and I would have to walk with her in the dark to get her to sleep anymore. After a good cry and a chat with DH we decided today we'd see if DD could fall asleep on her own and see how it goes. She fell asleep by herself the first nap and slept 40 minutes, then her second nap she slept 40 minutes then took almost an hour of falling back into a deep sleep but has now been sleeping for another hour! I've had so much free time it's amazing!

Bedtime went really well last night. Put DS down then got DD to go down in her crib as well. Then she slept there for almost 7 HOURS!!! 🎉 It was amazing! I read a book and ate some snacks for hours in peace last night.
We're going to a dinosaur thing today. DS is gonna love it! 🦖🦕

We have like 5 million cookies.... I don’t know what to do with them all....
This week feels like my last real week of maternity leave. Because all of my friends will be on winter break soon too. I can’t believe how fast it has gone. January 7 seemed so far away in September. I should start lesson plans because I have to leave early on my first day back for a haircut 🤷♀️.

DD had another big blowout in public again today at the dino event. Halfway up her back, around one hip and some got on her carseat this time too. This was with the bigger diaper 😕 I dont care for this!

I bought some swaddle called "Swaddle Up" at Target the other day. It lets you swaddle baby with their arms up. Figured I'd try it because DS2 wasn't sleeping more than 2-3 hours at a time but any time I tried to swaddle he'd break his arms out. No change the first night but he STTN the past 2 nights!! 8 hours Saturday into Sunday and 8 1/2 hours last night! So nice.

Hello from a stranger - please let me know if it's not ok to jump in/intro in a random thread!
I used to post regularly in the last place (TTGP TWW & WTO, then Jan 2017 threads) but kind of fell off the board shortly after the move which coincided with my return to work. I now find myself craving the company of new mom's and am hoping you'll have me.
I'm a Brit living in SoCal and now a mum of 3 boys - DS1 (Jun13) DS2 (Jan17), and DS3 ("C" Oct 19th, our very welcome surprize, possibly one of the last on this board). I work in biotech but am on leave until mid Feb. Just about getting to grips with the whole 3 kids thing, kind of... some days...
Hoping to post fairly regularly if youll have me? Will back out without drama if not:)

bazinga welcome and congratulations! ETA: sorry, I totally had to post and run! We'd be happy to have you join us! The board has been slow lately, but hopefully the handful of us who are still active can provide you with the new mom company you seek 😊 I live in MI and have a DS (May 2016) and DD (Sept 2018).

So, my night is ridiculous. DD is right back to her usual shit of crying whenever we try to lay her down. Thankfully she managed to cry herself to sleep in her crib after only 3 or 4 minutes because DS woke up crying with a fever and I had to tend to him too. It's almost 4:30 and I've maybe slept for an hour. Tomorrow is going to be awful.

bazingaWelcome! I finally have my 6 week follow up today. It was rescheduled. I have to get my IUD inserted on Friday though at a different place due to insurance. I'm kind of sad that it will probably be my last visit with the birth center. I'm still working through the grief of not getting to birth there and we had to pay out of pocket. I don't think they give money back for that. But they do offer free support groups I go to and a month group for people who had hospital transfers.

Hugs pixiepink24. That's really awesome that they offer a support group for those who weren't able to give birth there.

I think we're hitting the 3 month growth spurt. All he wants to do is nurse. He can stop nursing on his own, I sit him up un my lap, and he starts turning his head looking for boob again. I am happy it's happening before I went back to work though!
