Good morning! We've reached the end of October already - the end of our birth months. All of our babies are here and Nov/Dec babies are starting to arrive! Time is going by too quickly.
What's everyone got going on this week?!

We finally got home late last night. Hospital was dealing with new system issues so everything was delayed. I haven't been to my house in over a week so it was a mess. Thankfully my family came with to help bathe my daughter and unpack my car. L did ok first half of the night but did great after 3am. Probably since my milk came in and his belly is full.

My doula is coming for our postpartum visit today. I'm excited to revisit my birth experience with her!
We still need to have DS paint his pumpkin tonight or tomorrow night. I'd like to get another small pumpkin for DD and put her little footprint on it 😊

Good morning!
I'm taking full advantage of the last couple days H is home before he goes back to work on Wednesday. He wants to brew a batch of beer, I told him he can brew when the kitchen is spotless. I'm feeling slightly guilty about sitting on the couch while he cleans, but he's not complaining so I'll take it.

I like the idea of painting rather than carving though, no need for sharp tools.

I like the idea of painting rather than carving though, no need for sharp tools. Moms in my DS's BMB shared the painting idea! We use washable Crayola paints mixed with Elmer's glue to help it stick to the pumpkin. I used painters tape to put a face on the pumpkin, let DS "paint" over it, then peeled the tape off. Here are the ones from last year!

We have plans to paint a pumpkin with M today. I need to call and schedule an appointment with my OB. I’m volunteering in M’s preschool for her Halloween party. I’m excited because I never get to do parent things at school.
My belly is still tender so hopefully we can keep figuring out what is going on.

Lily is two months old today! I think she has a cold, she has been sneezing, has a runny nose and has a wet cough. But thankfully no fever. Hopefully she feels better soon!

The past few evenings DS has decided that he will only nap attached to my boob. The RnP is no good after 5 PM. This of course leads to an over tired baby that is a beast to get down for the night. It's good times over here.

I've been up way too late this week watching the Red Sox. And of course the Patriots are on now so I'll be up late again. DS2's best stretch of sleep is this first one so I keep missing out because I'm watching sports.

So I had my first work from home with an infant today. The baby had its shots this morning so he needed to comfort nurse all day- and my 3 year old really wanted to help me work. My H acted as if I was browsing the internet, I had to remind him several times I am working- pretend I am not here and take care of these kids. So I def need to have a talk with him because I am not going to be able to work like that.

I would have felt more confident but was blindsided and told less than an hour before we have to leave and I still have to shower.... I'm allowed to drive, right?!

I totally say skip the shower - ain't nobody judging you at four days PP! Do that later when you have more time. And yes, you should be fine to drive after a vaginal delivery 😊

pixiepink24 I hope you made it to your appointment and everything went well. My favorite ob nurse called me yesterday to check in. I didn’t think she worked in the office anymore. I have an appointment today. I am starting to feel better so hopefully we found the right treatment.

Hey everyone, I've been MIA for a bit with am extra clingly doesn't like to sleep at night baby. I'm trying to remind myself that this doesn't last forever and to try to enjoy every moment since she is the last babe we will have. Some days, especially the last few days and nights, I feel as though she is constantly attached to my boobs.

I've been going back and copying some of my early check-ins to keep them all as kind of a 'pregnancy journal' (I had started saving them from 18 weeks). Sometimes I get kinda sad that the whole pregnancy journey is over. I know we were all so eager to be done at the end, but now I sometimes find myself looking back and missing it all a little. Especially since I'm not sure that I'll ever experience it again.

Thanks akwild ! I was a little late to the appointment. Passed two accidents and drivers were being insane. Their dad ended up not meeting us there. I couldn't find anywhere to park and ended up walking pretty far carting the car seat and keeping 3 year old from darting in traffic. I had some tears at arrival. Appointment itself was good. He's perfect and started to gain weight already at 4 days. Then we had to go back to hospital I went to to get birth certificate info filled. Their dad wanted me to pick him up and drop him off way out of the way. Thankfully I shot that shit down because when I got to hospital, the pedi office called and said they forgot to give me my ID back so he had to grab it. Both kids were crying in the car freaking out. Ended up parking in wrong spot walking far to area in hospital. Went to the mcdonalds in hospital because it was already lunch time (did not want to do) and baby was still screaming while we waited on the long lunch line. Finally sat so I could nurse him then headed to birth certificate area. I get back to the car after everything and get us all ready to go, then DD cries that she has to pee really bad.... FML. I did what any parent would do after a day like that, she peed right here in front of the car on the curb..... mom of the year. 🤷♀️ Thankfully they both fell asleep on way home and we all continued to nap at home together. I was not prepared for this to be an all day solo adventure, but we survived! Oh and the restaurant I delivered in front of, they sent us flowers today!!! That was a positive.

Sounds like you did a great job pixiepink24. My dr thinks I just tore some scar tissue and the fluid they saw on the CT scan was some blood from the tear. So that’s good. She told me to finish my antibiotics and to come back for our 6 week appointment. And to slow down because my body needs to re-heal.

pixiepink24,great job! tbirdlove,I'm right there with you. This is our last one and sometimes I do find myself missing being pregnant. We are supposed to have bad weather tomorrow and the debate on our neighborhood facebook group is insane right now about moving Halloween to Thursday for Trick or Treat. I'm cracking up at all the foolishness. We personally plan to hand out candy tomorrow if it isn't a full downpour. Otherwise, more candy for us.
