I did DS's naptime today with DD in the bouncer. She fussed and cried almost the entire time. And yet DS still managed to relax in my arms and I was able to put him in his crib and he fell asleep no problem. That wasn't so bad.
Guess I just need to relax and go with the flow!
Today is going ok overall. The biggest challenge is how awful I feel.

Why is there so much sickness going around?! It's only October! I hope this isn't a sign of a bad flu season! tbirdlove bedtime is a shit show when I have to do it by myself and dd2 isn't sleeping. We read books, do pajamas, brush teeth whenever it makes it easier for me with dd2. I don't really know the best solution. I have been wearing dd2 A LOT so I can have at least one free hand to do things with dd1 but I can't really wear her when I have to pin dd1 down to brush her teeth 🤷♀️

DD gave us a 6 hour stretch last night from 9-3 am 🙂 she refused to sleep from 6pm until 9 and just wanted to eat the whole time so maybe she was so exhausted and full she didn't wake up? I hope it wasn't a fluke thing and that we'll continue getting longer stretches.

It has been 2-3 hours pretty consistently at night so far.

Does anyone know off hand what I could possibly take for post nasal drip that's safe while nursing? I'm not coughing, just some sinus pressure, runny nose and real sore throat.

Anyone experiencing or did you experience a return to a ridiculous amount of nausea in the last few weeks of pregnancy? I’m dying over here and spent this morning vomiting quite a bit.

teambrink I had a few days that I felt a little nausea return, but nothing crazy. I feel like I've heard of others having that issue though, so I don't think it's uncommon. I'm sorry you've got that added to your list of end-of-pregnancy discomforts. I hope it passes for you soon.

Pretty sure DD has a bit of this cold or whatever too 😔 I spent all night listening to her trying to breath through all the snot and suctioning her with the nose freida - which she does not care for.
So far today: DS woke up crying, HVAC guys were knocking on the door unexpectedly before I was even up, DS was covered in snot and soaked in pee including wet sheets, DD and I are both full of snot. Ugh.

Ugh. DD sounds really congested a lot and will even sneeze out gross green snot. My pediatrician said it's normal and probably isn't because she's sick, their noses are just trying to recreate the environment of the womb so they produce extra mucus. She recommended using a humidifier which seemed to help DD a little. Sorry you aren't feeling well, it sucks trying to take care of kids while you're sick!

I hadn't heard that before - maybe that's the case and she's not really sick. I feel so bad 😔 We used the humidifier in our room last night, so we'll keep up with that.

We got really worried DS2 caught DS1's cold but we were told the same as brenna. Plus their noses are so small they can sound congested even when they're really not.

I'm past my 37 week mark and here I am dealing with my children's father threatening to throw all my belongings on the curb and take my child out of state. Hooray. Just what I needed.

Thank you - it makes me feel better that two of you have been told the same thing. Hopefully my poor newborn is NOT sick! I'm getting a lot of yellow snot out of her little nose though.

I’m so sorry pixiepink24. Not that his behavior is ever appropriate, but this is definitely not the time for additional stress.

But they take care of my niece and my sister that live there too so I'm putting everyone out right now. Not ideal.

Think if your DD was in that situation, you'd be there for her in a heart beat and I'm sure your parents are glad they can help you.

Eventful times here. My cold is still nasty. Yesterday I started feeling UTI symptoms and had pain in my low abdomen. Hadn't thought to take my temp until after Dr hours and it was high. On call OB gave me the ok to treat the fever overnight, but to head to the ER if symptoms worsened, and to try to see my OB in the am. Called my OB this morning, she's not in the office but the nurse contacted her and I was advised to go to the ER. With a fever that high and pain in my abdomen there's worry of an infection in my uterus 😔 So now I'm sitting in the waiting room and MH is home with both kiddos. I have no pumped milk so DD will have to have formula if she's hungry before I get out of here. We've never tried to give her a bottle, so I hope that goes smoothly if necessary.
I was at the pediatricians office when I got the call to head to the ER and my pediatrician wants me to get checked for the flu too.
In good news though, DD is back up to birth weight! She just weighed in this morning at 8 lbs 11 oz - 1 oz over birth weight 😊
It is so unfortunate for all this sickness, etc because if it weren't for all this everything would be going so well. I guess at least it's me and not worries with the baby.
