Finally Friday

Just came from S first soccer practice. There are 12 teams in his age group and 4 teams practice together. It was chaotic to say the least. But adorable. And S said he had a blast so that’s good. Tomorrow’s our first game

Could you also do eyelash tinting as part of your services? That's something I would absolutely want to do if I had fair hair.

cagoldi I could definitely look into eyelash tinting! I’m open to learn whatever services I can. I think the initial investment is low and there is a decent profit margin so I think I’m gonna go for it!

I tested negative for strep but given that Cs didn’t test positive until the culture they started me on meds while I wait for those results. C does have impetigo so he is on an antibiotic ointment.

We just got back from a Mexican place; my friend is home solo with the kids so I think she enjoyed having dinner with other adults, ha, and the kids mostly entertained each other.

DH turned the hot tub on before we left so I think we'll do that tonight with another round of drinks.

Also, at long last, I finally...FINALLY...figured out the fabric/trim for the sofa pillows I want to re-do. Yes, alert the media. DH gave me a deadline of Sunday to get it all worked out b/c he's tired of hearing me agonize. It is way easier for me to make decisions for other people's homes than it is my own

We served chili at the high school football game tonight. Our friends are having people over after the game and we planned to go but our kids we’re getting tired so i volunteered to take them home and put them to bed. Dh is going over to our friends.

So now I’m on the couch watching grace and Frankie with a cup of tea on a Friday night. Who have I turned into?!? Not that I’m complaining!

I took the girls to the mall after nap to return something and then let them play in the play area. DH met us there after work and we got Red Robin for supper. After that we went to a touch a truck and both girls enjoyed it. Quick stop at target and now the girls are in bed and the adults get to relax.

I took off today and put the kids in day care. Went to the spa and lunch with my bff. Picking the boys up in a few for soccer practice. But that’s about it for plans since MH is out of town till next Saturday.
I did pick up a piece of cake bc Sam doesn’t think it’s a birthday without cake. I have to say it is a little sad picking up 1 piece of cake for yourself for your birthday, but oh well

Ha, there was a huge fight about this in GD recently. I have found they don’t clean as well pointing down, so we put everything upright and just pick them up by the ‘handle’.

MH & I used to argue about this. All spoons & forks go up now. Although I did read an article awhile back that the best way is some up & some down. That way nothing is overcrowded.

tgrimes that is unbelievable!!! For what it’s worth, I had tubes placed when I was four and my ears had fluid coming out of them for years after, aside from the yucky smell and stained pillow cases it never bothered me.

I’m sure I’m missing a lot, sorry for all of you who had a tough day/night and sick kids.

There’s a difference in your ears draining fluid & them being infected though. Were they gushing fluid during the day, too? Were you always sick like this? What did they do about it?

Usually it just pops off, just be sure to look and remember how it goes back on.

I did mine recently and it was disgusting, but not as disgusting as the shower drain with the hair gobs.

I know I sometimes had a cotton ball in my ear during the day. Can’t really remember being sick often. Other than being allowed to swim under water, I don’t think they did much of anything.

My dish washer has a top on the silver ware basket with slots so nothing touches. So handles have to go down. I hand wash sharp knives.

My new dishwasher that is. And the one at Rs. We don't have one at my parents.

They probably weren't infected then. This is beyond a "stick a cotton ball in it" situation.
