This is DH's last week of paternity leave, so L starts daycare next Monday! I used a Buy Buy Baby gift card to stock up on a ton of stuff to send with her (PSA: Buy Buy Baby brand diapers in size 2 are on clearance---9 cents per diaper).
I definitely think we are in the 4 month sleep regression. She went from sleeping through the night to two wake ups every night this week. The zipadeezip is definitely helping her settle after a wakeup, but its still not the same night of rest we were all getting before. I can't complain, because 2 wakeups really isn't that bad, but its a nice little reminder that sleep training is coming (dun dun dunnnnnn).

add us to the sleep regression club, although it’s only been one bad night so far. so i guess i’m hoping it’s a one off. we had 4 wake ups last night when we had been having 1 or none, really. i think there is a 4 month growth spurt too because she has been ravenous and will go from 0-10 hangry in about 30 seconds.
we are finally starting to recover from all the illness at our house - dd1 finally went back to daycare today so i’m looking forward to catching up on housework. i’m feeling better, but pretty sure i have an ear infection now because whenever i lay down or squat down i have an intense pressure/pain in my ears. yay. h also goes out of town this week and i am so over the craziness that is bedtime with the toddler right now.

Sleep regression here too. When he’d wake through the night before, he’d whimper and fuss a little and fall back asleep after we gave him the pacifier. Now he wakes up immediately wailing and will not calm unless you pick him up. Even then it takes a while for him to calm down and fall back asleep. He used to always sleep until I woke him up at 6:15 (still nursing once through the night sometime) but now he’s waking at 5 or 5:30. Or 4. Gahhhhh.
Sending sleepy vibes to all the babies. 😴😴

She was already eating on the upper end of the spectrum (26-28 oz a day, never more than 4 oz at a time) and now she's at 30 oz easily. We finish a 4 oz bottle and she shouts for more. Not even crying. Just angry shouting. Its comical. I've read not to feed more than 32 oz in 24 hours, though, so I'm hopeful that this levels off. She can't fit any more rolls on her arms. There's already like six between shoulder and wrist.

Hi everyone! I went back to work last week, so I might actually be able to post again. It was impossible to do so via mobile during my leave.
Sadly, DD has already picked up her first daycare cold and they called us a bit ago to say they think she may have an ear infection. MH is taking her to the doctor later this afternoon and I really hope it is nothing too serious. I'm trying not to let major mom-guilt seep in, but it's hard. I feel so bad for her.

pearbear, hope your LO is feeling better soon! And stop that with the guilt. Not allowed! Kiddos all get sick their first time in a school setting, whether its at 3 months in daycare or 5 years in kindergarten. I've seen it with DS's classmates as he has gone through full day preschool, pre K and kindy. It sucks to have a babe under the weather, but she's building immunity and it was gonna have to happen at some point. Which is not a reflection on your parenting. No guilt, you hear me!? xo

Ughh I’m at the dentist for a cleaning. Happy Monday! Im not looking forward to this one because they’re going to push me to get my front teeth fixed. When I was 18 I fell and busted my 2 front teeth. The roots are still my natural teeth, but they just did bonding (?) to reshape the bottom part of the teeth. They said it would last 10 years max before they’d crumble and fall apart, but we’re going on 11. They are getting discolored though, random gray patches. And I suppose I should get them fixed before they do just fall apart and I’m left looking like a hockey player. Anyone have experience with crowns/veneers? They will definitely do the front two, but considering the front 4, just for uniformity? I know they’ll look better, but I’m so scared I won’t look like “me”, you know? Also it’s going to be like $3K so that’s cool.

pearbear I felt the same way when L got sick about 2 weeks after starting daycare. So much guilt, but I had to let it go because like calendula said, we can’t keep them from getting sick forever and it is good to build up their immunities. Hope your LO feels better soon!

What bathing suits are everyone wearing this summer? Bonus points for links and PIPs (of the suits, not necessarily of you).
I'm tired of buying a new suit every year that I'm unhappy with, and 3 mo post partum, Summer 2018 is no exception. I hate having to choose between fashionable suits that are uncomfortable and I can't move around in without a boob catastrophe, and functional comfy suits that make me look 60 years old (Lands End I'm looking at you).

I doubt I will buy anything new this year because I won't be I. The water much but will probably just wear a two piece and embrace my flabby stomach. I am normally an A cup with small hips so one pieces always look horrible on me.

We just had a new couch delivered. It means we don't have to sit on the floor in our other room where DS1s train table is and is bigger than our old one so I won't have kids constantly on top of me (wishful thinking I know). We ordered a chair as well though that won't be here for awhile and am worried that togheter they will be too big for the room.

pearbear I hope DD feels better soon. calendula I am just wearing the swimsuit I bought last year. It still fits me. It is a tankini too and black bottoms nothing exciting. My allergies have been acting up the last week. I need to remember to pick up some medicine for them when I am out next. I don’t think we have hit the four month sleep regression yet, but I am sure it will be here soon. I hope all the babies start sleeping soon.

Hi. I've only yelled at my toddler twice and sent him to his room to cool off once since DH left for his work trip this morning. Oy. It's going to be a long four days. ArielMermaid Twiiiins. I'm about to pack away the last of the 3-month clothes that fit DS2, and I think I need to bust out the box of DS1's 9-month clothes. I think the seasons are going to be just wrong. calendula I actually have had decent luck in-store at Target. I'm plus-sized and their Ava and Viv suits are a little more generous in the bust than some other brands, and I think they have some cute non-old lady style/print options. I just went straight for the one-pieces and completely ignored the sizes.

Ugh add us to the sleep regression although she wasn't already sleeping that well to begin with. She's been waking every 2 hours the past two nights and basically taking 10 minute cat naps during the day. It is driving me crazy. I need her to sleep. And to stop being so grumpy because she is so tired.

katietopaz DD1 was an early May baby so her 6-9 stuff is more fall and wintery whomp whomp. Yep, DS1 was a May15 baby too and tended to be a size behind or right on target, so I'm pretty sure all of his 9 month clothes and a good chunk of his 6 month clothes are long sleeves/pants. Plus DS1 was/is a string bean so he was always at least a size behind in shorts and pants, but DS2's is the chunkiest, especially in the thighs, so I have to find new brands and sizes that will work for him. Not that I don't love shopping for baby clothes! The other kicker is that by 12 month size clothes, I think I'd started to move away from onesies and more to separates. I tend to prefer onesies for the most part till they're walking, though, so I guess I'll be shopping for those, too. Hand-me-downs were supposed to help me save money, darn it.

Kortni Jeane. They are out of a lot of sizes right now but she stocks a new collection every few weeks. I bought a set while pregnant and really liked it!

If you had a friend text you and ask if you were home, you'd assume they were planning to pop in, right? If hours pass and they don't show and don't text you back, would you message them and say don't bother coming by?
Like, it's bedtime now and the doorbell had better not ring.

I got mine at Kohls, but I don’t remember the brand off the top of my head. It’s a one piece that kinda hides my new flabby stomach. I normally prefer tankinis... but with all the stretch marks and flab I thought this would be better this year. Plus, I had a bunch of Kohls cash, so it ended up costing me $3. I actually mentioned to DH that I’d like to look into getting a tummy tuck. I was kinda surprised that he was open to the idea. He’s not too keen on elective surgeries.
