Can I whine a bit? I’m so tired. Overall DS isn’t that bad at night sleep (compared to DS1) but I think I’ve hit that cumulative lack of sleep physical exhaustion. My whole body is weak but not like flu, just tired. I’m clumsy and frustrated and brain foggy. So many bruises from misjudging doorways, bumping into table corners, etc. Sick of holding/having a baby on me all day long (won’t go down for a nap for more than 30 minutes and that goes too fast to do more than eat something and clean something). Plus he weighs a ton and my back is not happy. Whine away. That cumulative sleep deprivation is awful. And babies who refuse to be put down are hard work. So it’s not like it’s unjustified whining

Well my excuse for being late coming in this week is it was my birthday yesterday and I was swept off into the mountains with no cell service.
For my “gift” I asked if H could take one feeding for me last night. I had some milk in the freezer for him to use and so I actually got to sleep for 5 hours last night. It was wonderful.

We leave for vacation Friday morning and I’m just feeling so unprepared thanks to this being my first full week back to work. It’s a little cabin on the lake and I need to bring basically EVERYTHING and I’m stressing that I’ll forget something important for the baby😩

We’ve had several weekend trips to our parents and I kept feeling the same way, so I made a note on my phone of all the baby things we’d need. Like... everything we could possibly need for him. When we’re home on a regular day, every time I used something for him I’d put it on the list. Then when I’m packing I just go right down the list and check each item off. And skip over the things that are available wherever we’re going. I know you’ll need a lot more than just baby things for your trip but lists always help me!

So I swore Elle has been teething. She hasn't been grumpy but she chews on anything she can get in her mouth. Well she just got my finger in there, and she does have a tooth poking through on the bottom!! I wonder if L is teething too. He is extra drooly lately and is constantly putting things in his mouth, hands, toys, whatever. I don’t see anything poking through or even any puffiness or swelling though.

When we went to Florida I made a list as I thought of things we would need to bring with. It made packing so easy.

He planned a trip out to the Columbia Ice Fields and had us booked into a hotel the night before so the drive wasn’t as long. It was amazing. I think he felt bad that some birthdays lately haven’t been the best, and wanted to make up for it? Whatever the reason- I’m very grateful.

I am finally caught up after being MIA for a week while we were on a road trip. I did start to reply to last week's hdbd but got distracted while driving. He hadn't really had any milestones that week, but I was not expecting him to have TEETH for this week's milestones! He wasn't just awful miserable on our trip so that was nice. We put him in BIL's pool with sunglasses and infant life vest and he loved kicking and floating around!
And yes I totally told SIL when I was there that DS for sure wasn't normal cause he's so easy and happy.
I am really excited. Last night i bought tickets for my little brothers(12 & 15) to come visit for a week in August. It will be so cool for them to be able to see their nephew and also really nice for them to be able to get away from our mom for a while.

Is anyone going to build a bear tomorrow? I heard that they are having a special selling toys at the child’s age with a minimum of it being $1. My mom and I are thinking of taking the kids tomorrow morning when they open.

I wish the baby would go down for the night sometime before 11. Her 4am wake up call sucks if I can’t go to sleep sooner.

One of my worst nightmares came true this morning. There was a spider in the shower and I didn’t have my contacts in so I couldn’t tell how big it was and it was hard to keep an eye on where it was crawling. I lost track of it and I was thisclose to yelling for H to come find it, but I didn’t want to wake up L. Thankfully it reappeared and got stuck in a water puddle so I squished him. Still have the heebie jeebies. I hate spiders.

I am hoping it is less crowded at this time too. We live about an hour away from the nearest one but the price makes it worth the trip.

Well, we were planning on going but the line at the mall was super long before the mall opened. At this point in time, I’m not sure if the savings is worth the aggravation of standing in line forever with DD. Today is one of those days where she’s being very defiant.

Re: build a bear. My other bmb was mentioning that they do pay your age for birthdays? Just something to look into if you don’t get to today. ETA: this one mentions they can get a specific bear in their birthday month for pay their age: www.google.ca/amp/s/amp.indystar.com/amp/778664002

Oh my gosh, this baby is making me feel like a FTM. I don't remember calling the nurse line as much in the first year with DS1 as I have in the 3.5 months DS2's been around. Occasionally I'll send pictures to my mom (an NNP) on stuff I'm leaning towards not worrying about. DS2 has had these small, dark purple spots pop up on his lower legs, and I noticed today he has several on the back of one. I just assumed he's a baby, his skin is sensitive, it has random marks all the time. Still, I sent her a picture, she tells me to definitely call the nurse line.
The nurse line (and my mom) think it's "petechiae" but there's not really a way to know the cause, so I'm taking him to the pedi tomorrow. It could be nothing, or it could be something super serious. I'm not totally freaking out because I'm making the educated guess that it's somehow related to babywearing. I have a FTG Tula which has an adjustable panel, and I just moved it to a wider setting last week because I thought he was big enough for it. I'm guessing he wasn't quite ready for it and it's a smidge too wide still, and it messed with his circulation which is why the spots are only below the knee.
Google tells me this has happened before, but Google also tells me it could be meningitis, so.

Oh I hope it's nothing katietopaz! I've spent the last couple hours trying to figure out a schedule for DS and I. I loved when I had one before. I'm just frustrated that he only takes 30 min naps. And hardly goes more than 2 hours between eating. Also there's a March/April 2019 BMB! 😯 time has flown. Also thinking back to a year ago is crazy
