My kid has been getting picked on on the bus to the point that I just called and left a message with the garage supervisor. Why are kids this way? Oh I'm so sorry. Buses are the wild west. I hope they can do something for him. My son's bus last year wound up with assigned seats but it's honestly impossible for the drivers to enforce.

It was hard to know whether to escalate it or not, because he’s a sensitive kid and has a hard time reading social cues. I wasn’t sure if they were teasing or really being mean. It was the third time in the past couple weeks that he came home crying, and this time (based on what he said) it really was kids being mean, not just teasing. His bus has had so many issues that I’m surprised this is the first difficult situation he’s had. Poor bus drivers 🙌 They really are saints among us.

I always thought I'd have more disposable income in my 40s 🤣 Same. Now I am targeting a 2 week period in the mid 2030’s when the house and my student loans will be paid off, both kids will be done with undergrad or trade apprentice-ship, and the reality of trying to throw as much of our disposable income as possible in a retirement Hail Mary hasn’t fully set in. It’s gonna be great!

My kids are off for the holiday and the weather is beautiful, which is bringing me so much joy. We went to a park they like, stopped at H Mart, and now everyone is doing their thing while I catch up on slack/email Having the sun and warm has been so nice the last couple days. I seriously can’t wait for summer. 6 weeks until summer break here and I’m counting down We have a countdown going at our house. The girls have 38 more school day wake ups, and I think I have 42. Only 38 more days of packing lunches!

Easily thr worst part of summer.

My husband was over at the neighbor's house this morning to help them with something and he said it was half as chaotic/loud as our house getting ready for school and such and they have twice as many kids. 🙃

TIL I didn't know how to correctly pronounce the word detritus because it's one of those words I'd seen in books but never heard spoken. Dh and I had to have Google weigh in on who was correct, and it was not me.

He was diagnosed with viral pneumonia, although it could have been his first asthma episode, and it was mostly a bunch of nebulizer treatments and waiting/monitoring in between. I am reading that generally 3+ diagnostic tests will bump you up to Level 5 but he only had 1 (chest X-ray), maybe 2 if you count ECG monitoring.

If I remember correctly her littlest was having breathing issues and needed a nebulizer treatment. Does not sound like a level 5 to me, so I get her side eye.

Does the coding change the billing? Is that the issue?

Does the coding change the billing? Is that the issue? Yes, the higher level visits cost more, and they say upcoding is a common problem in medical billing. Level 5 is the highest.

Yea, that's what we're planning to do. My husband has gotten pretty good at deciphering and contesting medical bills.
