MH saved the day and found 3 pair at a gas station. We're driving up to DS's daycare and will pull him out to see it. They were going to take the kids out but decided not to, so we're going to do this instead. I'm hoping he goes back in without a fight so I can still have a couple hours to relax lol.

You could have just called the library.

I dont have much daycare experience but do they let you take them out and bring them back for sure?

Yes. You can get them for doctor's appointments or whatever and bring them back. Just like school.

I'm mainly hoping he's not mad about having to go back in. If he is we can bring him home now but he'd get an extra almost 3 hours of tablet time. MH is going to say we have to go back to work. He WFH so technically that's true.

I've never taken my kids out of daycare and brought them back, like that has never even occurred to me as a possibility.

Partial eclipse has technically started but it's hard to tell since it's so overcast and grey out already. I am suddenly feeling VERY sleepy even though I went to bed early last night so maybe my body is noticing something. 😅

👋🏻 That'll be me. We also have a telescope thingee that sets up and attaches to a smart phone, so we can view it through there and take pictures. I'm pretty excited.

I’m so happy I snagged a pair at the library for DS before I remembered he’d be in school. His school got a pair for each child so MH and I kept these for us today. We came out to take a walk and it’s a watch party out here 🤣

Totality just happened here it really did get colder and dark like night time. It was so cool.

In line of totality and clouds were so thick, saw nada. It was kind of cool to see it get dark and then light again, but that's it. Any reason to hang onto the eclipse glasses?

It was so cool!! I'm so glad we were able to see it and be together for it. Thank goodness we found some glasses! It got darker outside than I was expecting and that was crazy part to me.
DS was pretty impressed and went back in without a fuss 🙌

We didn’t get to see a thing. It got really dark but it’s also been raining all afternoon. DD is SO bummed. She’s been looking forward to it.
