cdnfarmgirl, that sucks. I hope you're feeling better soon, or at least your husband gets home to help you out.

Sappy post warning... Guys, I’m starting to get really emotional about this baby arriving. I feel like it hit me today. This is my last week at work and then I’m off for just over 4 months. After almost 5.5 years of waiting, our baby will be here in less than 9 days. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. I can’t believe it’s finally happening and that we’re so close to becoming parents. Awww ❤❤❤

What kills me is she is obviously tired. Like, almost fell asleep in the car on the way back from the pumpkin patch and said she wanted to lie down. I get her up to her room, and immediately she’s yelling and banging on the door. I’m trying the whole “quiet time in your room if you can’t sleep” thing. It’s failing miserably. That's rough. I was lucky in that the boys took to the "quiet time" in their rooms instead of naps. Can you just flop her in front of the tv to get at least a half hour of rest? That’s what I’ve been resorting to, but I’m creating a situation where she just whines until I let her out of her room and down to watch tv.

So for the first time since being discharged 10 days ago I have stayed at home all day and since 11 am when my little brother left (he was visiting from Virginia) I have had no company. MH has totally taken care of DD1 and I have just pretty much stayed in bed and nursed W. It has been so ice and she is finally starting to eat less like a sleepy preemie. I plan to do the same tomorrow!

I keep getting bad back pains. It is really not comfortable at all. Wonder if this is contractions. It was hard to stand in church and DS3 wanted to be held only by me. Well standing for the rest of today hasn’t gone all that well, so I’m laying on the couch, next to a passed out DS3, watching a movie with H. I told H I wasn’t going to feel bad about snuggling the boys. Soon their worlds will be turned upside-down. Yes to the snuggles. Speaking from fresh experience here, get all the snuggles in that you can of your older kids now.

Awesome...oh the time I spent obsessing about this with DD. Anyone who says “don’t cry over spilt milk” clearly never pumped.

So sorry cdnfarmgirl. That's the worst. I had a major craving for shrimp fajitas and H was kind enough to run out and get some. I ate them and and now feel like I might have a bathroom emergency coming on. So disappointing when you really want something. I hope you feel better soon!

thatgolfb- I don’t hate raisins in my oatmeal cookies, but if I’m making cookies, I’m putting something different in because I can. Also- rainbow chip frosting is the best! I can seriously sit down and eat it out of the tub. lol

bethkate, so amazing! I’m not familiar with your history, but it will be as fantastic as you’ve imagined. It will also be the most exhausting and confusing time, and you will wonder how you used to fill your days without this new tiny one.

Basically, my story is that we dealt with infertility from 2012-2017 and had four early losses in that time. Finally, IVF transfer #2 worked and resulted in this pregnancy.

I’m sorry for your losses. 4 angels to watch over you all. We went through infertility too, including a uterine surgery. We finally got pregnant with our first IUI, which I still joke was my first threesome.
