Happy Friday, ladies!
I started my Friday by going out into the garden to harvest the last of the carrots in the crisp fall air. This is my favourite season.

I got to spend yesterday with my baby in the NICU! She's doing so, so well, and I'm ready to get this girl home with the rest of us. We should hopefully find out more today. Her twin has been amazing letting us sleep and cuddle, and we're truly lucky in that aspect.

I have so much to do today. I work a night shift and DDs 1st birthday party is on Sunday. I need to clean up the front yard a bit, clean inside the house, finish the decorations. Tomorrow after I wake up I need To go buy the food, make the cake/cupcakes and try to tidy my house.

I'm watching "This is Us" and I haven't decided how I feel about it overall, but it does have moments of good writing. Like the dad freaking out and saying, "I think the babies broke my wife. You can fix her, right?"
I know those feels.

I'm not sure if it was a reaction to the steroids they gave me or some type of anxiety attack, but my arms and legs started tingling last night and I just couldn't sleep at all. I think I got in an optimistic 3 hours. The tingling was somewhere between the sensation of goosebumps and my limbs falling asleep. Baby is still moving, no more leaky fluid, and no consistent contractions or cramping. I go into L&D this afternoon for the second dose and will inquire about it there.

In positive news, I finally started finishing Halloween things because what else are you going to do at 2AM when you can't sleep?

misskilljoy- H and I love ‘This is Us’. It’s not often we get through an episode where we haven’t cried... I’m not sure there’s been an episode where at least one of hasn’t. Wh ch reminds me, we haven’t watched this weeks! Have you seen ‘Parenthood’? If not, I highly recommend it, I’m pretty sure it’s on Netflix.

AnnPerkins- sounds like maybe it was from the steroid shot... sorry you had such a crappy night. Feeling like that is definitely worse than the usual pregsomnia. Definitely mention it to L&D while you’re there. Yay for being productive on Halloween though!

I won't watch This Is Us cause I don't like shows or movies that have a main purpose of making me feel sad. That's why I won't watch dramas or romance. I like my heart to remain cold TYVM

Eating donut holes on the couch and watching Nightmare Before Christmas with ds3. Can I just say, you are currently living the dream. I didn’t realize this was my dream until I read it in your post, but dammit, I want donut holes and to cuddle with DD2 and watch Nightmare Before Christmas!

I like my heart to remain cold TYVM ‘Cold Hearted Snake’ by Paula Abdul just popped into my head... my guess is that it will stay there for the rest of the day.

I haven't seen it, but if it ever shows up on Canadian Netflix, I'll probably binge it. I usually watch sci-fi shows but they take too much attention and mental energy when I'm doing coursework or marking, so I like shows like this for when I'm doing those things. The nice thing about watching them that way is that I'm partially distracted so I rarely cry. Or maybe it's my stone cold heart.

My mom got all tingly and shaky when they gave her steroids after chemo. Obviously different steroids and circumstances, but I don't think it's uncommon. Could also be swelling, though. My lower arms, wrists, and hands get tingly overnight and I often wake up with them a bit numb. Happened last time, too, but way worse because the swelling was much worse.

I'm about to go to my school to see my students one last time before baby because they have some kind of surprise for me.
I'm going to cry again, aren't I?

Ya sleep is overrated. I'm always able to sleep from 10-12, then up till 3:30-4ish then I can sleep soundly and then I get woken up by my kids at 6:30. Up till 2 weeks ago both slept till 7:45 consistently. It's like they know.

I've had a headache since yesterday evening and nothing I do will make it go away. I think it's actually sinuses I'm at work but I'm not sure that I'm lasting long - looking at the screen is making it worse.

I have an OB appointment in a little while. I am supposed to mention to the nurse that one of my doctors wants me to do the group b strep today since typically they won't do it until my next appointment. Ugh, do I have to? (yes, I am going to - I just don't want to) I may mention to my doctor that since my pants are already off, why doesn't he just check out my cervix too. Depends on how things go.

Morning! I watch this is us. Dh keeps saying he wants to watch it but never even started then he wanted to start with me this season and never did. His loss, i went ahead and watched. I really like the show. We are planning to take dd to a halloween event at a local petting zoo type place tonight then have a 5 year old birthday party tomorrow. In between all of this I would like to get 100% ready for the baby this weekend. I just have it in my mind to be ready by next wednesday when i'm 37 weeks since that is when dd came. I'm betting as of now I make it to my rcs though. Still November 8 is less than 3 weeks away. roloma,Gl at your appointment. The b strep wasn't near as bad as I remembered it. peggels24,The worst. Hope you find some relief soon. misskilljoy,That is so sweet of them. Let us know what the surprise is!

catmom88, Last night I said to H that we needed to get a whole bunch of stuff done for the baby this weekend. His response was "what else needs to be done?" So I rolled my eyes, huffed and puffed and then started rattling off a list and he was like "ok ok ok ok I'm sorry I asked - I'll get the stuff down from the attic tomorrow night and then you can direct me from there" LOL

Randall and Jack have already made me tear up this season, and I am a cold black heart that rarely cries.
