Eating donut holes on the couch and watching Nightmare Before Christmas with ds3. I want your life right now.

So much for my low key day. The kids are wild and so fricken rude. And my digital classroom isn't working, which also spoils my plans for Monday along with today's. I'm ready to put my head through a wall so I can get myself a ride out of here. JFC.

Just had what I hope is my final ultrasound, little man is looking good. Head down, measuring a few days ahead but not gigantic. Except he has a big head...sorry lady parts.
I took off work today so I’m getting my hair done and running a few errands. I hope the office leaves me alone so I can just focus on house/baby stuff.

Parenthood is a favorite of mine. I used to tell H that I needed to go watch Parenthood so that I could clean out my tear ducts because I cried at almost every episode. This is Us is good but I think Parenthood was better. Max’s storyline definitely made me cry a few times. Max was a very hard storyline for me. DS has some very Max like characteristics. DS isn’t on the spectrum, but there was a long time we thought he was, honestly I hoped he was. It turns out he just has severe ADHD and a couple of terrifying mental health issues (he’s basically a sociopath with a lot of energy).

I have an appointment this afternoon, it’s at 1:45, which is close enough to “lunch time”, so H will be able to meet me there. I’m hoping to get a time for my RCS on the 14th. I also need to check on my next appointment, they have me scheduled for another 2 weeks, but I feel like I should be every week after today. Since I was throwing up at my last appointment, I didn’t get the whooping cough vaccine or flu shot, I have both of those to look forward to today.

I can't go anywhere near emotional stuff right now. H was watching a movie the other night and I just had to get up and leave because I started bawling and then every time I came back into the room, I started again. He was very confused about all of the crying. It was a sad movie though.
This kid is now consistently hurting me with all of his movements. It seems like he doesn't stop moving very often. I'm a little worried about making it to my due date this time.

I have an OB appointment in a little while. I am supposed to mention to the nurse that one of my doctors wants me to do the group b strep today since typically they won't do it until my next appointment. Ugh, do I have to? (yes, I am going to - I just don't want to) I may mention to my doctor that since my pants are already off, why doesn't he just check out my cervix too. Depends on how things go. "I'll take the full No Pants Work Up, please."

Is anyone else feeling blah and depressed lately? I’m not sure if it’s hormones, I don’t get like this with DD2, but I had really bad PPD/PPA with her... I seriously just want to cry all the time. It may be because I’m tired. I don’t know.

It may be because I’m tired. I don’t know. Yes. I'm fairly certain I'm functioning at a mild to moderate level of depression. I'm not expecting it to immediately go away after the baby is born, but I'm hoping most of it just has to do with feeling so miserable while pregnant. I'm sorry you're also in a funk. I wouldn't hesitate to mention it to your OB if you think you will be at risk again for PPD. They can start you on meds before the baby is born to help head it off, if that's something you would be interested in.

Good morning! I took myself out for breakfast. I just finished a huge acai bowl and am sipping a mocha. I think I will stop at the second hand baby store on the way home.
H and I are going to the Melting Pot tonight!

Nursing tank recommendations? I prefer cotton and clip down without any cups. I like the cami style and don't want to spend an arm and a leg.
Motherhood maternity has some on sale but reviews seem mixed. Anyone have one already and like it?

I'm watching "This is Us" and I haven't decided how I feel about it overall, but it does have moments of good writing. Like the dad freaking out and saying, "I think the babies broke my wife. You can fix her, right?" I know those feels. I love this show..it can be a little corny sometimes but I think the characters are well-crafted. Although Mandy Moore in old lady makeup is annoying. Randall and Jack have already made me tear up this season, and I am a cold black heart that rarely cries. +1

It may be because I’m tired. I don’t know. I could cry everyday. I wasn't diagnosed with PPD/PPA with DD1 but I'm fairly certain I should have been. I hope my emotions aren't a sign that PPD, but I'll be on the look out for it. Have you mentioned your feelings to your doctor?

UO: I watched a couple episodes of this is us and didn't like it. But I tend not to watch that genre of shows. Greys Anatomy is the closest I get. thatgolfb mindy project was so good this week. It's like they are just letting the actors adlib and add in their own bits of crazy. Cousin Sheena is always a treat too.

Just had a strong urge to walk so I took ds3 to the canal. It was so pretty out with all the leaves changing. He threw walnuts in the water and found caterpillars.

I just moved and changed docs, I’ve only seen this one once, today will be my 2nd appointment with her. I wasn’t really a fan after our first meeting, I hope today goes better, I won’t be able to talk to someone I don’t like, even if it should be as simple as “Hey- I’m feeling down all the time and I think I might depressed”.

No cervix check for me. I forgot to ask and he pulled his gloves off pretty quickly after the GBS test so I just let it go. He gave every indication that he fully believes I could and might give birth any day now. He wanted to do an NST today but I had to get back to work so it is scheduled for Monday. Before I left he said "Maybe we'll see you on Monday." Oh, well that doesn't instill a lot of hope for me. If I do make it, I will have the NST Monday and then a BPP at the MFM office on Thursday.
I am currently scarfing down sort of acceptable fast food and wishing this day was over. I have an incredibly boring training that I am sitting through and could, in reality, be giving. Lord help me not lose my mind.

Doctor appt was fast and easy. Same old. Measuring and listen to heartbeat. That's about it. He did ask me if I was eating though...which I find funny that he's only asked now. I haven't gained a single pound apparently so I get his concern. (Not a humble brag at all- was very worrisome for me throughout my other pregnancies). But I was waiting for him to ask since he started seeing me at 33 weeks and he never did. I never did with my second pregnancy either and my daughter was 8.5lbs so I'm not concerned. He said some babies take it all and mom's don't gain weight. I dunno. I'm heavier to begin with so that is also part of it. Anyways- I asked how long he will let me go over and he said 1 week and then we can set an induction date. Better than my last OB who was 12-14 days over. So we will see.

I keep meaning to ask, what does BPP stand for? It is biophysical profile. It is a 30ish minute ultrasound that watches the heart rate, muscle tone, breathing, and a few other things I can't think of right now. It is basically an NST by ultrasound.

misskilljoy - H and I love ‘This is Us’. It’s not often we get through an episode where we haven’t cried... I’m not sure there’s been an episode where at least one of hasn’t. Wh ch reminds me, we haven’t watched this weeks! Have you seen ‘Parenthood’? If not, I highly recommend it, I’m pretty sure it’s on Netflix. I haven't seen it, but if it ever shows up on Canadian Netflix, I'll probably binge it. I usually watch sci-fi shows but they take too much attention and mental energy when I'm doing coursework or marking, so I like shows like this for when I'm doing those things. The nice thing about watching them that way is that I'm partially distracted so I rarely cry. Or maybe it's my stone cold heart. Pretty sure the first season is on there

STM+ remind again that an increase in clear/white mucous means nothing. I am so not prepared for this baby to be on it's way.
