It's chilly out but I'm sitting by a fire with summer shandy.
My kid is somewhere, hopefully being supervised by an IL....

We saw a bear when we were in BC so what you're going through makes total sense Tlex.

Man that's cool... the closest to wild animals I see anymore are sea chickens
(what I call sea gulls)
One time I saw a raccoon a long time ago!

We've been away twice without DS. Once for a wedding and once for a conference I went to. Vacations aren't budgeted for here so it never happens. H tried to plan a trip for our 7th anniversary last year but realized he had no idea how to pay for it so had to tell me about it so I could tell him if we could afford it.

I just read something that velociraptors were apparently actually only the size of turkeys.
Makes the idea of a real Jurassic Park SLIGHTLY less scary. 'Cause now I'm just envisioning them waddling around like turkeys.

I ordered OPKs & HPTs from amazon. They should have been delivered Thursday and haven't arrived. It's too late to cancel the order since technically it's been shipped. Coming through post office.
We leave Wednesday to go out of town until Monday afternoon. Would you return them if they aren't here by then, due to the fact that they will be sitting in 90ish degree heat in our mailbox? I'm assuming these shouldn't be in high temps for that long, but maybe it doesn't matter?

We get lots of wildlife here, mainly deer and coyote and foxes, etc. Hawks the size of small airplanes sometimes. Legit tarantulas.
I forgot where I was going with this. Now I just want to move.

Ok for context most of the neighbours are DH's relatives... I just texted SIL to be careful and she said um I was about to text you, I just got off the bus and I'm walking home on our road and a baby bear came charging out in front of me.

I haven't but I'm hoping she's taking a break, possibly for Ramadan? Ramadan is falling on days that are super long so it's extra tough this year, I'm hearing from friends.

Betweenthelines, I suggested to my H that we should hold back and let DD nap at our house instead of at my ILs so....H took the boy and went ahead of me and we'll join them later I might have also had slightly selfish reasons in this suggestion
