@nellybluth also Quest chocolate chip cookie dough protein bars are my treat when I'm craving a Snickers. I think they're as good as candy. I need to acquire those, stat. I have never seen them in stores around here, though. To amazon! I enjoy those and the oatmeal chocolate chip bars.

I did day 2 and 3 of the 6 week mini challenge today. Lower body and cardio. The cardio was tabata style and kicked my ass. It was sad I couldn't do some of the moves sustained for only 15 seconds. I also need a better sports bra. I bought the largest cup size they had at Target, and I couldn't even get one boob into it. Panache's underwire sports bra is what I wear for high-impact activities. Worth a look if you're unhappy with what you've got!

I stopped at GNC and got a Quest bar to try out before buying a whole box. I forgot we have a GNC, lol. It definitely cured my afternoon hanger. I was invoking Chris Farley before I got that into my belly.

I did it. I am so sweaty. I did so bad at the teeter things, but I rocked the plank moves. Day 9 done.

I really wanted the Quest bars but couldn't get past the price compared to the Pure Protein bars. Which are....not good, but serve their purpose, I suppose. Girl, no. If you're going to have a protein bar as a "treat", you might as well eat one that tastes good.

((hugs)) nochillI worked a long field day and my throat is hurting again. I think I might have strep. So, I'm taking a "rest day" today and hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

I hated day 9 and thought I may puke, but I did it. I also ran today. I pushed myself because I felt good and ran a 5K distance in 39 minutes. It's not the fastest time, but holy crap, I did it Now my legs are dead!

I did Day 9 tonight, did not love. Damn Burpees and those leaping teeter totter things, omg. Is tomorrow a repeat of Day 8?

A lot of things came together to make Day 9 the most difficult workout yet. I slipped on B's backpack, making me lose count on my first set. Then my bra wasn't supportive enough for the constant motion of burpees or squat thrusters. I finished, but I know I can do better. And I will when we repeat it on Day 11.

I woke up and am here for my trainer class again.
I forgot to add to my list of goals (maybe that was in the noom thread) that I won't willingly miss any trainer sessions for 12 weeks. Prior to this, I regularly skipped one because I felt lazy or tired.

Day 11 done.
I briefly contemplated skipping this one and just doing sprint intervals as a cardio replacement because I am not a fan of her cardio routines (and Day 9 sucked). But then I thought to myself, maybe I don't like these exercises because they focus on areas I need to get stronger in...and if I really want to be as fit as I plan, I need to suck it up and really push myself.
All of that to say—day 11 was hard, but I didn't hate it nearly as much as 9 and I didn't lose my balance as many times on the teeter totter hops.

My V crunches were better today, but I had to take an unexpected rest in the middle because of a very painful muscle spasm in my shoulder.

I am so envious of you guys who get it done first thing in the morning. I can only do that on weekends. I HATE doing it so late at night. My current hated downside is I drink a ton of water after I do it, then get up eleventy times at night to go pee. It's a rotten flashback to pregnancy.
The only positive is that I have been eating smaller portions at dinner so that I dont barf it all up while working out.

I fell asleep on the couch last night while DH was putting Dd1 to bed so I missed Day 10. I will try to double up 10 and 11 today but if it doesn't happen I'll be okay with it since I'm a day ahead anyway.

Day 10 done, early today! Usually I don't get it done until after dinner. I definitely noticed an improvement in my form today. I feel tighter in my lower body too.

Doc says some kind of bacterial infection, maybe strep. Antibiotics on the way. Looks like I'm taking today off too. ☹️
