I spent the day organizing and cleaning DS's room and now I'm so sore and tired. About to soak in a warm bath to hopefully help my back that is on fire.
H is asking about dinner. I'm not cooking, hoping he'll pick up something like Chinese food.

Sooo hungry. H just left to get sushi and chicken teriyaki. I tried to limit myself while ordering. Seems even if I'm starving I have to eat smaller portions now or else I feel nauseous. Giant baby is taking up all my room for food.

thechickencoop Congratulations!!! He is so handsome 😍 and what a great weight! Awesome to hear he is breathing on his own too. Good luck with the pumping and I hope you get some rest/recovery time. Emergency CS is no joke!

August Blooms Ugh...rice cereal in a bottle at 3 months???? 1950 called, they want their terrible parenting ideas back. You were right to side with the medical professionals. If she is already doing this kind of stuff, she is probably one of those who will turn her kid forward facing at 9 mos or something. Ugh...people... As for us, DH and I are just watching the Irma coverage. We know our family are safe, most evacuated but one couldn't due to her job requirements. Just hoping none of them go back home too soon and get stuck in the storm surges. I am sure everyone had significant damage to their homes and lost lots of possessions...everyone lives within a block of the ocean. The most important thing is that they're safe though!

August Blooms, I am judging right along with you (and the rest of O17). If the baby doesn't have head control then a seat with no support, never mind a jumper, just seems like a common sense no-no. And I thought the whole cereal in a bottle thing was antiquated advice anyway, though that seems super young regardless. Still, it's so awkward to point these things out to people... I talk a big game but am super non-confrontational IRL, so I can't even imagine how that conversation would go if it were me.

At triage. I have had two gushes of fluid going from sit to stand and pink discharge...umm hopefully pee and mucous plug?

More babies??!!!! Gah! So yea, lol, everyone pack your bags! Baby Chick and I are still doing well, but this c section recovery is no joke man. . I finally got my last IV out and was planning on showering today but ended up on more oxy because the pain just snuck on up again. Just got to nurse B (who nursed like a fucking CHAMP in the nicu) and had to put him down so they could take me back to lay down. Meds and ice have helped a bit here. H is back home today so he can meet DS1 off the bus and they can kind of get back to normal. Hopefully they can eat a big dinner and after DS1 gets on the b us tomorrow, H will head back down here. I'm looking at a Thursday diacharge, not sure about B yet, it's going to depend on his eating. I'm so, so hoping that he'll only be kept a day or 2 longer than me. So...fingers crossed. |
