Nothing exciting going on here this weekend. Far enough north that the Irma impact shouldn't be much, and not planning on having a baby this weekend (not that the other babies were planned for this weekend either though!)
We'll just be finishing up painting the nursery so that next weekend we can raid IKEA and get the room furnished. I'll feel so much more ready for baby once the furniture is in there!

Obviously about the babies and not Irma. Going to clean up the house a bit and then go to my towns harvest festival. We got invited to a friends place for a birthday dinner, so I don't have to cook dinner tonight!

DS1 starts soccer today which should be cute. It's fall like weather here which has been nice too.
I'm basically just excited about the babies.

Taking DD to the apple orchard today. Then a nap. Then more nesting. DD loves all the baby gear we've been getting out and cleaning. Her dolls have taken over.
Also, silly baby and turned in the last 12 hours and is now slightly transverse, heads up. Hiccups are coming in under my rib cage and leg stretches now pushing on my bladder and my stomach looks super lopsided. I'm 35 weeks today so baby needs to do a nice flip in the coming week.

Emotions are all over the place for me! O17 babies are coming soon, which makes me all... At the same time, DH and I both have immediate family members in south Florida - on the gulf and Atlantic side, so I'm also like... I'll just be sitting here going...

Good morning! It's 9:15am here - DD and H are both still knocked out but I've been unable to sleep for about an hour now. Thank you very much to being 754 weeks pregnant.
My mom and I were supposed to do some shopping today but with so many evacuees in the area it may not be a good time. I reeeeeally need to get DD some clothes though so we'll see what happens.

Taitai Who says you can't have cupcakes for breakfast? Omg I want all of them. Seriously. I zoomed in on the second picture and read each description. 😅😂 I am going to be dreaming about those tonight....esp the cookie dough ones! DH will dream about the choc raspberry ones (yes - I showed him the picture too). Good luck with the b-day party!!!🎉🎂

MH woke up with my cold. So now, in addition to dealing with this shit while eleventy weeks pregnant, there's a man cold in the house. HELP.

Anyway, H emailed and said because of the hurricane they're literally doing nothing out in the ocean. They were supposed to pick up an airwing from Florida to do drills with, but that was canceled so they're just sitting there. Wheee.

Sitting here on the floor in the front doorway. Dh and DS are working on fixing the seatbelt in my car. Dog is on the porch. I'm truly just relishing and smooshing over how nice a day it is and how much I love my little family.

Warning: stupid vents ahead. I just feel like I'm going to cry and I have nobody to talk to.
So, major downside of selling my car to someone we know: the mom just knocked on our door and asked if I know anything about the wheel lock bolt. I guess they're getting the brakes fixed and the guys can't remove the tires and they apparently searched the car and couldn't find it. I mean... I've had tires rotated and replaced, it never came up in 7 years of owning the car so I assume it's in there somewhere. It's not something I would have taken out for any reason. I even just checked in my bag of stuff that I removed from the car, but it's just like my jumper cables and first aid kit etc. This is 100% not my problem, right? But that's not the way my brain works, so now I'm feeling SUPER guilty and like I owe them something. This all happened while MH was walking the dog with DD, I told him and he started on this stupid line of questioning, and then snapped at me for "getting worked up." I mean, fuck. YOU KNOW ME. I'd feel guilty and edgy even if I wasn't pregnant and hormonal and sore and sick and tired... GAH.
Which leads to the other piece, H now has my cold so he's all cranky. I GET IT. I don't typically do Pain Olympics, but sorry, I think I still win this round. The first thing I said when he said he was sick is maybe his mom could take DD for a few hours so we could rest. He texted her, I said something like "just say we both have colds" and he got all huffy and said "I don't want it to be a pity thing." What the everloving fuck?!? WE NEED HELP. THIS IS LITERALLY THE REASON WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE TO LIVE NEAR FAMILY. I realize that I should have just contacted MIL myself, but it's so awkward for me sometimes. Like I can't just talk to her the way I would my own mom, which then just makes me mad and sad that my parents are gone because our whole family dynamic was just SO different. I realize that my parents being alive wouldn't make my ILs any less weird (cause as much as MH doesn't make this stuff easy, neither do they), but shit... life is just so freaking unfair sometimes.
Ugh, sorry, I don't even know what I'm trying to say. Just having a very frustrating morning, is all.

Guys, this belly pain is so dumb. Like, I can't even stand up straight. Is this RLP? I've had it plenty when I've sneezed or moved too fast, but I'm just laying here trying to stretch it out and it's hurting. Wtf.

Ugh, seventythree sounds like you're having a spectacular day. Is that something that's in the manual? I feel like this has to be Googleable. And no, it's absolutely not your fault that they can't figure things out.

The weather here is so nice. It's cool and we have the windows open. DH cut the grass and DS was so excited watching him. He kept yelling, "Dada! Mower!"
We got everything else out of the attic, so I've sterilized all the pump parts. I also started packing my hospital bag.

I'm sorry seventythree. Ugh. I'm totally like you and would be feeling the same way about the car. However, this is not something you need to fix, they can figure it out. 100% Also, sorry you have a man cold in your house. I hope you both feel better soon!

DH is at his second home (school) for football. I dropped DS off at the ILs for the day so I can run errands and get things done at home. Pregnancy brain in full effect now: forgot the diaper bag and his lovies for naptime. Seriously, what the heck, brain?? FIL was going to run and buy a small pack of diapers and they had wipes. Hopefully nap time goes ok....
I went to Target and Kohls by myself. Got the last few things I needed for the nursery and spent my Kohls cash on a few things for DS.
Now I'm eating Casey's pizza in a quiet house. I'm gluten free and can only get by eating regular pizza while pregnant (and I limit it then, too). Probably my last pizza indulgence happening right now.
Now I need to get busy around the house. Wash baby things, make the nursery not a disaster area, etc etc etc.
But I really just want to sit in the couch with a bowl of ice cream....

@chittownsully Save me a salted butterscotch caramel and a boston cream. Have a fun party! seventythree Sounds frustrating, I think we are life twins today. H woke up with a man cold and we had a fight this morning too. Add that to the stress of pregnancy and all the feelings that come along with your parents not being around and your IL's being who they are, it can be difficult. I hope your day gets better and you can work something out to get some rest.

Yeah, my H is on a giant air craft carrier so they would have gone out anyway (if the hurricanes had come our way), because a giant metal ship the length of a football field does a lot of damage to a port lol. And that's all they do during a hurricane is sit there and wait. This time they're out for 2 weeks and are just sitting there. I wonder if they will have to make up the exercises. Hmm.

We got out the car seats and I need to wash the pads in mine. DH got a new one, but it's a convertible that started out set for forward facing. It took a minute to figure out why the latch straps wouldn't reach, lol.
DS is finally napping and when we checked the camera we found that he took off his shorts and diaper. Sigh.

My H is in a mood today because DS had a rough night and I've started him on dealing with DS's wake-ups since i will have to be in charge of baby's once he is here. Luckily FIL is here to help him paint the entryway, so i took DS out and about this morning. I'm trying to get him down for his nap now, then i will hide out in my room for a little while. Unfortunately DS's room is right at the top of the stairs and they are painting right at the bottom, so the noise is making it harder for DS to sleep.

Dishes washing. Laundry washing. House swept. Some family time at the park. Chicken on the stove for soup, broth, and meat. I'm tempted to mop the kitchen and then fold laundry while I wait and the chicken cooks away. I don't feel like hand washing the rest of the dishes right now. I'm physically achey, but motivated.

Taitai Who says you can't have cupcakes for breakfast? Dude. My mom texted me a few minutes ago to let me know she was going to stop by the hosp to visit me and asked if she could bring me anything. I told her maybe some snacks and then I saw this and also told her, oh, maybe some desserts? Lol. I could eat my phone right now looking at that.

Confirmed : mowed lawn and pulled a TON of weeds and now I'm in my underpants on the sofa. I'm doing nothing else today.
