Confirmed : mowed lawn and pulled a TON of weeds and now I'm in my underpants on the sofa. I'm doing nothing else today. Sounds like a fantastic plan! Do you have ice cream?

I do not, but someone mentioned Chipotle on my Facebook so I'm debating putting on pants and getting a burrito. Close enough! But, pants.

Today was the first of DD's birthday parties! She turned 3 yesterday! I decided this year to do a couple small parties rather than a big one and keep food etc simple. My sister/BIL made her a Minnie Mouse car (out of a cozy coupe) from a Pinterest idea, it looks amazing! So fun but now we're just resting while she naps. Thankfully my parents helped clean up so by the time everyone left the house was totally tidied up again, no extra work to do for the rest of the day!

DD had her first soccer game this morning, which was super cute. Some of my family came to watch her, then back to our house. Worked around the house a bit this afternoon.
Total fwp: Just found out we need a new plan for tables and chairs for my kids by party next weekend, as FIL(who generally gets them for us from his work) is stuck in Florida. Soooooo, that's fun. Planning on cleaning/party prepping tomorrow and alllllll week. I live such an exciting life ;p

I ordered this outfit off of Etsy for #2's newborn photos. Hopefully not jinxing myself into having a September baby by buying these (due date is 10/16) but I'd probably still use them even if he does come extra early.

Prune juice is good for constipation, right???
I had a colace this morning which helped immensely but I hate to keep taking it. And I can't move much to keep this kiddo in and my body is all out of wack. I want to ward off any issues!! Gah. Pregnancy and labor is so fucking glamorous.

Guys, there are pumpkins available for purchase at my grocery store. The carving kind, not just the baking kind. You know what that means!!!

Torture: technically no longer having to follow the gestational diabetes guidelines because you delivered baby, but betting restricted to a liquid diet because you're stuck on magnesium.
I haven't had solid food since my Cobb Salad and watermelon for lunch on Friday. This afternoon I was finally able to have some tea after being allowed only water since i arrived in L&D.
I haven't actually been hungry because the solution they give you for fluids has some small amount of nutrition and such, and mag kind of suppresses the appetite, but damn that cookie cupcake thing upthread has me drooling.

Speaking of sterilizing, is it ok to sterilize and re-use pacifiers? I assume so. We had about 34,089,871 for DS because we were constantly losing them.

Could you drink a smoothie, heck even a milkshake? 😬😬

mkrupar, I remember being so hungry after coming off mag, I think I sent DH to get me a Five Guys sandwich and a Chick-fil-a milkshake. Our c-section was scheduled at 9am but due to emergencies didn't happen until 11, so it had been over 3 days since I'd had solid food by that point.

mkrupar, bummer 👎 But Italian ice sounds good! How long more before you can actually eat food? And you can have a cupcake soon too 😜 And not worry about your BG.

I was with DH buying some wine for dinner and it felt so weird being in the liquor store hugely pregnant and then a lady with a baby in a stroller rolled by and I felt not weird.
Our friends had a baby in the spring and are running late so asked us to come by later... I'm guessing this may be their first dinner party after having a baby. We stopped at McDonald's for a chocolate milkshake. Best decision. Totally hit the spot!

The Italian ice was delicious. 😁 I should be getting off the mag between 9 and 10am tomorrow. They'll transfer me to mommy & baby after that, and I'll probably be able to eat then. Based on my last existence the whole disconnecting and getting transferred and getting settled in the new room with new nurses took forever, so I'm thinking it's going to be around lunch time before I get solids. Honestly, my first solid, non GD mandated food will probably be something quick and easy because I'm anxious to get down to the NICU to hold DS. I haven't had a change to do that yet.

OMG the pizza we ordered 2 hours ago is nearly an hour late (so far). This is why I don't order delivery, but it didn't look like they do carry out. I should have called to check, especially since it looks like I need to call anyway.

Update: so apparently they don't deliver to my address, so they transferred the order to the store that does. However, she "just realized they're closed today". Bah! The order was canceled, so we'll see if the refund actually goes through.
In my 76 weeks of ever being pregnant, this is the first time I've cried over food.

OR list the areas where you DO deliver. Sigh.
