What are y'all up to this Labor Day?
We're going to a cookout this afternoon at our friends' house on the river. My large self will be planted in a lounge chair while DH wrangles the littles (who will be strapped in their life jackets all day). I'm looking forward to yummy food!

Not too much going on today. The kids barely slept last night and I woke up with a sty swelling my eyes shut.

paperbagliz, enjoy the cookout! snuff9861, boo to having a sty! No fun. We're not doing much today. We need to put a second coat of paint on the walls of the nursery, and once that's dry, I'd like to clean the carpet. My only other plan is to plop myself on my deck with my kindle because the weather is supposed to be beautiful today.

I spent 7 hours in a car yesterday and now I have to spend another 2.5 going to pick up my kid from my parents' house and coming home. She has been with grandparents since Wednesday and I'm excited to see her but a little nervous about how far out of her routine she will be!

Getting ready to take the dogs on long walk. Dinner with mil later, not looking forward to it. She apparently had already purchased dessert and some stuff by Wednesday so I'll be interested to see how stale it is lol.

Also, I'm lying in bed and felt something tickling my forehead. Assuming it was stray hair, I rubbed it away. It was squishy. Because it was a spider. So I'm thinking of setting my hair on fire and I'm now very awake.

I took E on a stroller run. That's definitely my last one of those, holy hell. Then I helped H carry a few big, awkward, heavy pieces of a weight stack into the basement. Last time I was this pregnant I helped him move our commercial (read: fucking heavy) grade treadmill into a basement. So I could use a nap right now.
We're getting ready to head to the state fair in a bit then I need to help my mom find addresses for sprinkle invitations so those can go out in the mail tomorrow.

Boo snuff9861 sty are no fun!! Today is day 3 of potty training! We'll be going to a cookout later with some friends. Also just found out that our offer for an amazing house was accepted!! We close on our current house in a few weeks and can't close on the new house until November 1st (don't worry, I'm an end of the monther) so we will stay with my parents until then. The house is perfect and I get out of moving heavy stuff!! Win-win!!

Day 3 of potty training here too. Yesterday started great and ended horribly. DS didn't nap so that didn't help at all. We will just be hanging around the house today again. DS goes back to daycare tomorrow and I'm considering keeping him home, depending on how today goes. At the same time, I'm totally ok with someone else dealing with the potty training for a day. I understand why people pay someone to do this.

Ps. I'm super excited for royal baby #3. I think George is like the cutest kid ever (other than DS lol).

DS goes back to daycare tomorrow too and he still won't tell us when he has to go we have to prompt him so I don't envision my efforts to stick 😔

Not a lot happening here. My parents came to visit over the weekend and brought a huge bag of clothes for DD2. Good thing the shelving came for the closet in the girls room, so I can start trying to get all her clothes put away.

jules1614 it's like $2000 lol and looks like it's more available near cities (like NYC). I've heard of people paying a babysitter or teacher who is notoriously good at it too. We are likely going to put DS in pull ups for daycare and immediately take them off when he gets home. They will take him to the potty every hour or so and remind him. Him being potty trained makes their lives easier too so his teachers will be helpful. I'd ask them to prompt every so often just like you've done. His teacher also said that it's totally normal for your kid to do one thing at home and something different at school. They follow more of a schedule than we do and I think it will work in potty training's favor. Definitely talk to his teachers to see if they can continue what you've started!

Pregsomnia has hit be at its finest. I usually finally can fall asleep around 4:30 and then the kids are crawling all over me by 7. 😴😴😴😴
Today is just another lazy day. I forgot I bought a case of peaches on Friday so I should probably can those today too.

Congrats on the house jules1614! snuff9861 so cute! I don't care about the royal family, like at all. Maybe I'm broken? Good luck to everyone potty training! I'm not going to bother right now. He's not ready and I'm not stressing. But the thought of paying someone to do it sounds amazing! Didn't know that was an option.

I love the royal family Me and the duchess were due within weeks of one another, her with Princess Charlotte and my DS, I remember watching the birth announcement on TV with them leaving the hospital like about to pop with DS. When they were due to leave hospital and the other royal family visited them, it was on from 8am in the morning until night time on our main TV channel in the UK, just live coverage of the hospital doors lol. I'll be doing exactly the same thing with this next one, waiting for news and putting the TV on again lol Must be the British in me

The Crown made me much more interested in the inner workings of the Royal Family. And I love Kate Middletons style. So hooray for them.

I am getting anxious to get DD's big girl room together and start revamping the nursery. But I need H to move furniture and do the heavy lifting, and he doesn't feel the urgency that I do. Time to get into nag mode I guess.

So my mom needs baby pics for the shower. My Mil said we have them all. We don't we only have MH's baby book and we can't find it! I'm freaking out because we misplaced it and if mil finds out she'll be livid. I also don't remember the baby book have any actual pics I think it's just notes and mementos. Ugh I'm currently tearing the office apart looking for it.

After my yesterday morning, would anyone be surprised if I said that all 3 boys woke up because they wet the bed. Best part was DS3 was in our bed. So clean sheets for everyone. Today apparently is laundry day.

Time to get into nag mode I guess. This is me with the baby's room. I want to put up decorations and start going through/putting away clothes but I can't until DH puts up the crib and rearranges the furniture. I asked him to at least put the crib together this weekend. Guess what hasn't been done?

DD has just used my bladder as a trampoline.
I legit was going to wet myself if I wasn't as close as I was to the bathroom. And it was literally a dribble as I had just been to the toilet 5 mins before
