I just... do not understand how you are still running. You are superwoman. I go back to work tomorrow and my head is not in the game. I will have to interact with parents at 7:30 a.m. and answer the same question (How long will you be at school?) one bajillion times. I DON'T KNOW. No, it is not ideal. Duh. I can do this. I'm sure I'll feel fine tomorrow. But dang, it is hard to imagine working right now. Oh man. That is the worst. I had the worst parent when I was pregnant with my daughter. They asked me if I had actually thought of how this would impact their daughter with me leaving halfway through the year. They were very worried about her emotions and how she would do. Sorry, not sorry. They tried to blame me for the reason they ended up homsechooling her the following year "the change with so many teachers was just way too much" they said omg the fucking nerve of some people!

Last day of summer vaca here and it's raining and gross out. Gonna spend all day getting the boy's ready for school and relaxing in front of the tv.

I took E on a stroller run. That's definitely my last one of those, holy hell. I just... do not understand how you are still running. You are superwoman. Though really it's shear stubbornness of trying to maintain some sense of self before I just give in to just being pregnant. I'm so checked out already. I'm trying to decide how much gusto I can muster up before I ask to go out. I don't foresee lasting long. It's so hard.

My little guy is sick. Ears are clear and rapid strep was negative but he's got a fever and threw up last night so we had to keep him home from daycare. My parents are watching him this morning but I'll have to leave work this afternoon. My poor little guy 😞. Wish I didn't have to worry about saving PTO for maternity leave so I could be home with him all day.

I'm having really bad Braxton hicks. Like really bad. I'm trying to lay down and relax but my kids aren't liking that idea. Everyone I know is working so I really don't have anyone to take them.

I started my new part time schedule today, and I needed it for sure. I'll now have two hours to sit at home in silence every afternoon before picking up my bigs from school.
I'm also keeping an eye on Hurricane Irma- we are on the SC coast. The only bright side about evacuating is that we'd be at my parents (for childcare) and just a couple miles from two Level III NICUs, so that's comforting. I'm 1.5 hours away from a NICU right now.

This looks delicious, adding to my meal plan. I'm going to add chicken or shrimp next time. And in all honesty, I would do the onion, veggies and egg on the stove top while the rice is cooking mext time. It was too hard to keep the eggs from sticking to the bottom and the constant stirring in the IP pot.

DH dropped ds off at daycare. His new teacher said there's only 2 kids in the class who are actually potty trained so I feel a bit better. I have no idea how he's going to do today with using the potty. He straight up told me no this morning and I could tell that he had just peed in his nighttime diaper. I slept in and now realize how terribly I've been sleeping. Like my body doesn't hurt and I actually feel rested. I need to figure something out so night sleep is refreshing again. I tossed and turned for 3+hours. Maybe the pregnancy pillow will help. icedcoffee I was wondering when you were going to join us here. I'm active on the tv/book board. Glad to see you here! pootsen I hope he feels better. Puking kids are the worst. I always get thrown up on. And dh just watches in horror. cdnfarmgirl I hope the bh calm down. +1 for bribes or a special project. Or lots of tv. If it's a nice day, can you set up a blanket outside for yourself and let them play?

They don't usually watch tv during the morning (it's on like all afternoon though!) so we did that. Then I tried a bath and try hijacked that so they've been in there for almost 45 minutes while I've been laying down in Bed down the hall. I'm debating going for a drive just so they are strapped in and can't fight. Lol or drop them off on the field with my husband who's on the combine tractor. We will see. Thanks everyone.

laurensc927, ew to your MIL cdnfarmgirl, ew to rude parents. I hope the BH stop soon and you feel better. paperbagliz, prayers that Irma goes away grumpycat, we only managed to get one day of potty training in this weekend because we were out and about the other two days so I put her in diapers this morning and sent her to daycare - I feel like I should have at least gone with the pull ups.

Leave them in the field! I totally get you about strapping them in the car. That's what I do when I need a break, and depending on the time of day, they'll both fall asleep.

Hope your BH go away soon cdnfarmgirl! and I hope your DS's illness passes quickly pootsen! paperbagliz, I'll think 'go out to ocean' thoughts for your hurricane, but I'm glad you're looking on the brightside, and yay for part time! I'm just stressing out about the next two months of work. It looks like we're going to split my job up between 2 or 3 people and then hire a lower level person to take on some of their tasks. Blah. I was hoping the person who left to travel the world would just come back to cover for my year, it would have been much simpler all around. Now I have to figure out how to split the job and train all these different people. Oh well, I guess the best I can do is my best and then it's not my problem anymore But it also means I will likely come back to exactly the same job in a year which is a bit unexciting. I also have a busy two weeks finishing some projects that I'm working on for some committees that no one will take over, so my brain is already full of that stuff. It is cool that these two projects are things I took on back in the new year thinking I better do something to engage better with my work in case I don't ever get pregnant, and now I get to finish them both off before I go off So that part is satisfying!

My son has never really been into watching TV but this weekend he somehow became obsessed with Paw Patrol. I'm thinking it's time to start stocking up on DVRed episodes for when little brother gets here.

DD was Everest last year for Halloween, and H was Captain Turbit, and I was mayor Goodway (complete with Chickaletta). This year A wanted to be Rocky so we just ordered that costume. She keeps asking where her Rocky costume is lol. This was us last year.

But he will watch MMCH until the end of time! That and baby first tv. Ds2 could never sit still for a whole tv show. He's still like that at 11yrs old. I don't bother even buying a movie for him cause he gets bored so easily.

We just went out for Thai for H's bday and I'm making sauce for dinner.
My OB just called and said I'm "very anemic again" so back on iron pills I go 😐 they make me so nauseous so I'll start tomorrow.

That is too cute thatgolfb. DS prefers Blaze and Team Umizoomie to paw patrol but he still watches and enjoys it. Mil got him a paw patrol potty seat for their house and he was naming all of the characters instead of sitting on the potty lol.
