DH and I had fun on our trip this weekend. We ate so many delicious things. I probably walked/tried to power through way too much, though. I'm going to be fairly useless for the foreseeable future.
One of the wives (who most of us haven't hung out with before; Mammoth Cave suggestion girl) kind of seemed like she didn't want to be there at all, but we made the best of it.

I am getting anxious to get DD's big girl room together and start revamping the nursery. But I need H to move furniture and do the heavy lifting, and he doesn't feel the urgency that I do. Time to get into nag mode I guess. This is me with the baby's room. I want to put up decorations and start going through/putting away clothes but I can't until DH puts up the crib and rearranges the furniture. I asked him to at least put the crib together this weekend. Guess what hasn't been done? When DD went down for her nap I just flat out told him to go paint the ceiling. He's always super helpful, but rarely picks up on my subtle hints. So blunt is more efficient.

My mom just sent me a picture of their countdown to grand baby. ETA obviously this isn't exact but it's set for my due date.

Hello! I'm catching up. Not much to report today. We all slept late because we week exhausted from the wedding last night. It was 100 degrees outside and the reception had terrible, non working AC. We all sweated profusely. Poor DD. She was a trooper. And she slept until 9. 😳
I ate a LOT of dim sum for lunch, like... A lot. It was so good.
One more night at the ILs', home tomorrow!

Made IP Habachi Fried Rice tonight and it was delicious. I'm going to have it for lunch tomorrow too. Next time I may add chicken or shrimp. DS3 was eating it and requesting more, so yay!
Now if it could just get cold so I can make more soups, stews and chili.

My mil tried to play the pain Olympics tonight. She stated that I only waited 9 years for this baby while she had to wait 12 for MH. Technically we were only trying for 4.5 years but still as someone who dealt with infertility I would expect more from her

My mom just sent me a picture of their countdown to grand baby. ETA obviously this isn't exact but it's set for my due date. I really struggled with whether or not to LT this because your due date is only one day before mine, which means tomorrow is 60 days for me. Um. I'm not ready.

I took E on a stroller run. That's definitely my last one of those, holy hell. I just... do not understand how you are still running. You are superwoman. I go back to work tomorrow and my head is not in the game. I will have to interact with parents at 7:30 a.m. and answer the same question (How long will you be at school?) one bajillion times. I DON'T KNOW. No, it is not ideal. Duh. I can do this. I'm sure I'll feel fine tomorrow. But dang, it is hard to imagine working right now.

I had the worst parent when I was pregnant with my daughter. They asked me if I had actually thought of how this would impact their daughter with me leaving halfway through the year. They were very worried about her emotions and how she would do. Sorry, not sorry. They tried to blame me for the reason they ended up homsechooling her the following year "the change with so many teachers was just way too much" they said

We had a pretty low key weekend. Thankfully, my parents came down one day, which means it was also a productive weekend. Now that the painting is done, we moved the furniture into place in the nursery. That helped me figure out rug size and what else I need to get. Now if I can just get rid of all the junk in the closet!! Plus, college football

It's embarrassing when that person is over the age of 16. This woman sounds like a peach.

Had a good day today- mostly just relaxed at home and did some baking/canning. Then decided I didn't want to make supper so I invited myself and the kids over to my in-laws for supper. Loll. I told my husband if he wanted supper to come to his parents. He ended up working so his mom sent the leftovers home. Which was exactly my plan. Lol.
Now kids are finally sleeping. I'm relaxing and debating going for a hot bath. But getting out of the tub is proving to be a challenge lately so not sure if it's worth it.

JFC the ability of some people to be so self centered is beyond me. It is impressive in the worst way.

Just got back after DS's settling in hour at nursery.
I'm not emotionally ready for him to leave me. Well not leave me, just not depend on me for everything.
If I could turn back time to have this toddler sized human be a little newborn just so I could squeeze him one last time I would
I'm feeling emotional today and I need chocolate and cuddles from the toddler... I think I'm just realising that me having another baby means that my OTHER baby is growing up

The four year old starts PreK today. So excited for her! Also, now I will have 2.5 hours a day free. She will go to PreK from 9-1130, the five year old is in K 9-330. So I get some quiet time, for a few months at least lol.
(Eta I SAH if that wasn't clear)
