2.5 with the double BOB after school. The time change killed me and I could not get up this morning. And my mom and MIL took the girls out of school today for photos and day date, so they were all home when I got home, spoiling my plans to run alone. Oh well.

I ended up having a really great (5 mile) run last night (after spending 30 mins trying to give myself reasons to skip it). I mean, the runs in the movie room were good, but mostly b/c of the distraction. Last night, after my 2nd mile, I was really feeling it (just on the treadmill, no movie or anything).

I've got Smellysock Pronatorsaurus. The latter is for sure accurate (hooray for stability shoes!). I believe mh would say the first name is also accurate.

I did 3 miles on the treadmill last night. Didn't feel as great as the previous session, but not too bad either.

10k yesterday morning. It was a fun new race. I was trying to help a friend hit her goal of 1:20 and we almost made it. Even though we didn't she was so happy because we got her to run the entire first mile and at 3k she honestly didn't think she could keep up the pace, and she only missed it by a minute.

I did 3 miles on the treadmill yesterday, followed by some strength training. Today the weather was beautiful and my parents watched lo (dc closed for Veteran’s Day), so I got out on the trail and finished a 5k under 30 minutes!

3 miles around campus during my lunch. 42 degrees may be my favorite running temp- I was holding a 7:40 pace for my first mile and felt great. I purposely slowed down for the next 2 miles (I still have some lingering hip flexor pain) but still finished in 25:52.

I slowed way down for 3 recovery miles tonight. My legs are definitely feeling fatigued so I spent some time on my foam roller and getting in some extra protein.

Jurrasic World 5k at Universal Studios this morning with my oldest. We did the Minions 5k at Universal Studios in May and it took him an hour, because the course was so onerous. I think a lot of people complained because there was a new course this morning that was much better, still hilly, but fewer hills!

I just signed up for a trail half! I really wanted to do the Helen, GA one, but it sold out before I finally tried to sign up, but I found one in Jackson, GA that sounds good. And on that note, I messed up my speed workout this weekend. I did one from week 10 instead of 11 and I converted the meters to miles incorrectly. Part of the workout called for 4 x 100 at mile pace and I did 4 x 200. Twice. At least I got the rest of it right, and ended up getting 4 miles, average 8:45 a mile.

Got my speed workout done, mostly correct. Supposed to do 4 miles tempo, only got 3.3 in during lunch. I figure the extra distance the other day counts, or I can do more later. Does it count if I do more later? I mean, I know people break long runs into 2 parts sometimes, but that's a different kind of run.

Saw a new physio and I think we found the source of my hip pain, I am doing something weird with my hips when I run, like I drop the side I’m stepping with. Weird to explain but easy to see on a video. So, got some exercises and been doing some short, 2km runs with minimal pain afterwards so yay! And I roped to new people in to do the Ugly Sweater Run with me in a few weeks, yay to new running buddies.
