I wanton my first PP run last night. It wasn't the best so I'm thinking about doing C25K all over again.

I started couch 2 5k two weeks ago but I've been on vacation so I only ran once this week. Hopefully I can get back on track when I get home. It's hard with three kids and a full time job to have time to run. But I told my husband I need to run 3 times a week as much as possible.

This is my go-to exercise. I alternate between slow jogging and walking. I usually do 3 miles in 45/50 minutes. I love it because I love running, but I suck at distance/speed.

I am...I need to get back into it. I was doing well about upping my endurance and going for regular runs earlier this year, but I had to have minor surgery earlier this month and the recovery was a little more intense than I thought it would be.
3 weeks later and I am finally beginning to feel like I am ready to dive back in. I am hoping I can sneak in a light jog early tomorrow and see how it goes.

We just got our treadmill back from brother a few weeks ago, so I've been walking for 30-40 minutes a few times a week. Running makes me itchy (so weird) but walking is fine. I try to go between 3.5 and 4 mph and use an incline to make it harder.

I've been doing 10K trainer. I'm stuck at 10x1 run/walk intervals, but have been doing 4 miles in under an hour. That's about how long my kids will sit in the stroller.
Plus. The intervals burn way more calories.

Hope it's ok I jump in here. I ran a lot before getting pregnant and up until 25ish weeks preg. It's been a slow go at it getting back into a good routine. Now that DS is 3 months it's getting easier to leave him with DH and go for my runs. I signed up for a half in November so I have some motivation to get out there. Will hopefully get a good one in tomorrow morning.

Can I play? Been out of the running game for awhile now. Itching to get back, but struggle to find the time. After work it's dinner, homework, kiddo time, put them to bed, then a little time with DW. She's not a fan of me running in the mornings before work and frankly, I'm not much of a morning person anyway. But, I'm going to sign up for a race and negotiate the time to train. I always feel so much better if I can stay consistent. A happy me makes it easier for a happy wife which means happy life...or some version of that.

That way I can run whenever and I won't have to wait for DH to be home.

peacock I'm waiting patiently (read impatiently) as well for LO to be able to ride in the jogger. Any recs for a good baby jogger? Mine with DD was given to me by a friend and is completely worn out at this point.

Mine with DD was given to me by a friend and is completely worn out at this point. I have a BOB jogger and the double jogger. Both are the orange utility sport, I think it is. Love them both. Just make sure to lock the wheel on the single for a run! A "friend" almost flipped their kid 😳but has remembers to lock it every time since. We use the single most often when just going out and about for outdoors stuff. Good on uneven terrain, good turning radius and the big guy can sit in the front if his legs get tired.

It can actually trigger an allergic-type reaction for some people. There are some people (it is very rare) that aerobic exercise can actually be fatal. You would know by now if that was you- no using that as an excuse

I recently started running again. Trying to get back up to 10k, then to a half marathon. I've been wanting to train for one since before I got KU w/ DD2. She's 18 mos now so I think it's time! I can't stand running more than 2-3 mi on the treadmill so as long as the weather cooperates I can train. Outdoors I run intervals - about 1/2 a mi & walk for about a min. Trying to get up to run 1 mi, walk a min. I'd be cool running a 1/2 like that.

Funny story.
On my run last night I had a chicken choker fly into my mouth/down my throat. I may or may not be scared for life.

I started c25k eons ago but got stuck on week 3 forever because my right hip would ache on days that I ran. But I see goid results with running so I'm determined to run on the treadmill at the very least. I went to the gym yesterday and did W4D1 and it felt great.

I think I might try this app again.. But we have a gravel drive way running through our woods. Any tips for running on gravel? Last time I ran we lived in a neighborhood. Now we're on our farm. No blacktop or concrete for miles.

No blacktop or concrete for miles. Can you run beside the gravel? On dirt/grass? I'd just worry about the gravel making it easy to fall.
