Sorry for the rough nights trtlcrzy snoopmommymom, how frustrating. guster does he get cheese and yogurt? I always thought if they get enough of those then they're good🤷♀️ ETA: or do those bother his stomach as well? He does get cheese and yogurt and luckily, it doesn't bother his stomach. Its not a calcium issue. I was actually hoping just to get more in between meal liquid calories in. Stuff that's super easy while we're on the go – smoothies, even just straight milk (plant or other). Sometimes when we're out he'll eat a cheecheese stick or a banana and a handful of Cheerios, but that's not really enough to be considered lunch, but he's so focused on running around and exploring that he doesn't get the calories in. I think that is affecting his sleep, too. When Dude was that age, we had trouble getting him to slow down at night. We started doing a walk with him in the stroller and a snack cup of Cheerios.

guster what about adding some PB and/or avocado in the smoothie? Not sweet and adds extra fat/calories/protein. The pea milk is called Ripple and they have it at WF and Target.

We still gave Dude a sippy of milk during our bedtime routine until he was almost 2. On that note, I feel totally lost as to how to transition X off of bottles. He's a good eater but I can't really remember how we went about this with Dude. Maybe this is where I confess that we still let C drink a sippy of milk in bed. I should probably stop that before I ruin his teeth.... +1

I've tried peanut butter, but no luck there. He'll eat it off of the spoon or on toast, but not in a drink. Right now, he will only drink water out of the munchkins and only drink formula out of the bottles. This might just be where we are, bu not giving up, yet. I always forget about avocado as a smoothie ingredients. I'll try that next.

guster, will he do popsicles or pouches? We've basically made smoothies (milk, yogurt, avocado, fruit, pb, ect) and then put it in a pouch or popsicle mold.

We used the soft spout NUBYs because they were similar to bottles. It was the only way we could get him to drink Silk or smoothies. I know people like the hard spouts but if that's not working, I would be perfectly willing to let him move to those slowly.

He couldn't wait to be finished with purée's. Of course this was after I spent about $45 on couches. Thankfully, Josie will happily eat them.

Trying to find a sippy cup that had a bottle like nipple. Thank you for the recommendation. I'll order some from Amazon.

Pete kept Dude home from school for a special Daddy date today.
They went out to breakfast and now they're at the museum. Then they'll probably nap together or do the pool this afternoon. Dude really seems to need the extra attention right now.

I made so many homemade puree's to freeze and she wanted nothing to do with them!

Hi! So we are having tons of family in this weekend, and I am not at all prepared. But I'm super excited, my SIL is coming with the twins (7 months old) so it will be chaos in our house, but good chaos. I think I mentioned this yesterday, but we have done 0 for the party. Like literally nothing. I'm toying with taking tomorrow off to do some shopping, party prep, and get my nails done. Fortunately the party is mostly BBQ so a lot of the cooking is MH, but I have to at least make the sides, oh, and clean up and make room for the guests. I have Friday off but his family is coming in early and his family are not ones who watch children. B doesn't go to school on Fridays so I would have him with me. It would be nice to get things done child free. Take the day!

Not milk but they each have a sippy of watered down juice all night. Matthew used to empty his and ask for more. Now he doesn't, thank god. Jack only wants it right before he goes to sleep. Then he slams it in my face and say "you put this on the table"

Cadence only has juice right after school or at dinner. She seems to prefer milk. She went without her nighttime cup of milk while we were away, but as soon as we got back home she wants it again. She also likes to have her own bottles of water.

tgrimes I just packed 4 boxes... where's my sangria?? 😉😉 melaniesue I'm with you in packing hell. Most of our stuff is packed and in boxes at the new house, but we are out of here in two weeks and it still feels like there's so many odds and ends around this house, at this point I'm either tossing stuff or throwing them in random boxes. There's 0 organization at this point. It doesn't help that we are still living here so I can't pack everything, but I did buy paper plates and silverware and told dh we are on sandwiches and takeout at this point.

xolastunicornxo yep. I got us paper plates and on Saturday we are packing all the kitchen up and eating out all the rest of the meals. My mom will be here to help but staying at my brothers house. They are out of town so she's making us dinners there. Thank. God. Boys and girls club just picked up the ping pong tables (thanks again vino!!) so we can start moving boxes to the garage. That will help me feel like I'm making headway. Getting shit moved out. I'm getting ready to drop c off for a play date until 5 so I plan to pack and pack and pack.

Good luck today melaniesue. Packing/moving is the worst, but the reward is so worth it. Thinking of you Cher and wishing good news at the cardiologist. So exciting about a good scan yesterday kim22!

I'm back. I came home Saturday and we've been on the go ever since. Fair all day Sunday and boating with my coworker friend Monday. Training all day for work yesterday. Back to normal today. Last night after soccer I took the girls to one of the parks in the neighborhood. Some kids set up a slip 'n' slide over there. Lily dog joined the kids and loved the sprinkler. Later Cass and Maddie joined in on the fun and had a blast.

Hi!
Busy morning for us. First day of school went well. M was actually awake and cooperative this morning. It was early dismissal for the kids so we're just at home hanging out. I tried to get him to nap so I could possibly nap, but no bueno. I know he's going to want to fall asleep later, so I have to keep him up until bedtime. He's going to be a cranky mess this evening.

FFWC: We use paper plates even when not packing.... My parents do because they don't have a dish washer and hate washing dishes. I can't wait to use real plates again.
