Hey, just a pro tip. Don't drop 25kg plates on your toes. Kinda hurts.
Also makes it hard to finish a deadlift workout.
I have 52 days. It's fine.

I'm sorry, 100g of carbs? Would die. +1. We tried keto for a little bit years ago and omg mh was sofa king cranky and my runs sucked (which now I say to myself duh). Finally I was like "this is dumb we clearly need more carbs." The half before my last I really focused on higher carbs (I think it was 250g/day?) throughout my training and that was my best race ever (physically and mentally). 2018 I set my 5k, 10k, half, and full marathon PRs (all of which still stand) and I was eating over 200g of carbs most days. Shan't take my carbs!

Hello.
After school workout; 30 minute 2000s run with Olivia and a 5 minute stretch. Yoga tonight. I haven't been hungry all day, but I've stuck to my eating flawlessly anyways and avoiding grabbing a pumpkin dessert to eat in the car from Wegmans when I stopped there on my home. So, ya know.

Today was 3 easy miles for me. Tomorrow is my race with DD. I got her light up wings but she decided they were too heavy for her to run in so we settled on a light up tutu and a billionty glow stick bracelets. I might wear the wings though lol

GhoatMonketSee, this is where carbs make things better. Dropping plates on feet. Seriously though, ouch. I hope you're okay.

Same. Making a plan/commitment works far better than motivation for me. Motivation is generally a result of results, not the cause of them. Trust that I was the opposite of motivated after dropping that weight on my foot, but I still attempted to keep going and doing what I did because I'm 7.5 weeks from a meet and I had a workout to finish. If I had followed my motivation, I would have left the bar loaded and left the building with my motivation.

RunsforWineandCarbs, I often tell myself: I only have to do 10 minutes on the bike/ 1 mile running/ 1000 yards in the pool— something super achievable. And then once I’ve done that, I can keep going, or I can stop, and at least I’ve done something. And I can’t even remember the last time I didn’t keep going.

Good morning! full body pump class + 30 min elliptical. I'm having an eye procedure done today and can't eat or drink 6 hours prior so I pounded a protein shake at 5am, yuck. Supposedly I can't workout for a full week (they actually said 2) but we'll see about that. No idea how I'll feel so no idea what I'll be eating the rest of the day. TGIF!

I’m here. Caught up I think. Been keeping mostly consistent. I was away for work. I did not step foot in the gym. But I did two in room workouts and walked about 12k per day so I was definitely moving despite being stuck in classes for 8 hours.
We leave for vacation in one week and I am so ready

I am here. So so busy at work, and trying to keep up a decent training schedule for the half marathon that I was supposed to be running tomorrow before they cancelled it! It's 14 weeks until the Disneyland half in February 2025 so I'll just run my training cycle back again but maybe just the second half twice, to keep the mileage up. I like having a mileage plan, it really helps keep me motivated and on target.
Good luck to those of you shooting for Chicago 2025! I'm seriously considering some kind of travel run, a colleague of mine is running a half in Osaka in January and I'm really jealous.

Howdy.
20 minute EDM run with Olivia Extra 10 run with Hannah 30 minute yoga flow with Aditi
My eating has been decent considering I bought lunch every day this week. I did eat cookies and mini pumpkin donuts tonight though. Oops.
Lots of miles and food back on track tomorrow.

You guys, DD did so amazing in her race today! She ran the whole way except for grabbing Gatorade and when some spectators were handing out candy. Her time was 39:43 and so many people were cheering for her. She got 3rd in her age group but I’m like 99% sure that the kids ahead of her were in strollers. It was such a fun race and vibe. They had a ton of decorations up along the route and so many people were wearing lights/glow sticks so it was just visually really cool. I also loved that it was at night lol

Catching up! I ran 3x this past week, including a 5k this morning. I felt good and ended up getting a PR (well, at least an adult life PR 😆). So that was a fun way to start the weekend!

Happy Sunday. 9 miles for me today. That puts my total mileage for the week at 33. I’m going to do a deload week for this next week and then start building up again. I’m feeling pretty confident that I can hit a 40 mile week by my 40th birthday. Since I’m only adding 2 miles a week it’s been hardly noticeable and nice and easy!

Also, Becs mentioned on Set The Pace last week that she's running anywhere from 110-130 miles PER WEEK. Cannot fathom. I'm stoked to follow along for her race and signed up for a 60 minute 4am run slot with The Becs Beasts.

Morning.
I got up and did Becs' 45 minute Halloween run. Holy hell, she is for sure in peak race training because her classes always get brutal when she hits training peaks, and this was no different. That class was HARD. I kept up with the call outs for the first 25 minutes, then had to pull back and take a few walk breaks. It was basically a HIIT run, but all the intervals were like 3 and 4 minutes long. She had a 4% hill for almost 4 minutes and the speed range was 9-12mph. Hard pass. Girl was in A MOOD when she programed that class.
Anyways, food on track today, yoga is a maybe as it always is on dance nights.

howdy. Saturday morning was a 5k that C and I ran together. We both beat our times from last year, we both finished 5th in our respective age groups and I pr'd my time for the mile with a new time of 11.40. I was feeling strong during the run and was very proud of my accomplishments. I didn't go in there to race race, it was just another temp run for my training. (but i don't have a specific race i am training for, lol).
Yesterday was a casual walk with the dog for 1.3 miles by the river front...which is still being cleaned up after cresting and flooding the area after the storms.

CD1 and a low pressure front came through so my headache is raging.
Thankfully this morning felt ok. Got out for deadlifts and bench. Both still moving in the right direction. I’ve been comparing my max weight, but today I looked back to see the reps too and today I did at least twice as many reps so eventhough I’m not way up on my weight the total is much improved 💪🏻
Early bed tonight.
