How’d September go? What are your goals this month? What are you training for?

September was fine.
October goals: 250+ miles in the bike Start using the elliptical/ arc 1-2x/ week Keep up with PT Full body strength session 2 x/ week (this is the hardest for me!) Possibly start an IRL class to stay accountable.
I started this morning with a 20 minute 90’s hip hop ride with Leanne. Great playlist! I will do a barre this evening.

Morning.
My September was a hot mess. The germs in my house were bonkers so my eating and working out were also a mess. My goals for the month were to get back to macros and 4am workouts. Neither thing happened consistently whatsoever, so October goals are the same. I also have a half marathon this month, so finishing that without dying is also a goal.
This morning I got up and worked out. Not as much as I'd like, but this year's theme is anything is better than nothing.
30 minute Calvin Harris run with Olivia Extra 10 run with Marcel M 5 minute stretch with Marcel M
Yoga may or may not happen. We'll see.
Food is partially tracked so far. Should be fine.

My biggest goal right now is to get this muscle scraping hickey off my neck. Really though, I'm just working on the neck/upper back issues, and continuing to do what I can do. My hope is to do a half in April because I had to finally give up on the one this month, I'm working on some base running right now and hope to start training for that in November.

September was a weird mess for me. 11 weeks out from competition, and things are getting back in order. I managed to get my squats to reasonable depth last night. Intake with dietician in Friday morning. Rusty Red my March meet in your town is on Sunday afternoon this year and we aren't in the main expo area (so there's no cost to get in).

30 min full body strength done. Stil have to do the 10 min stretch. I think my body is fighting the crud so fingers crossed I just don’t get worse.

Just a 35 min easy run today. It's not even that painful right now but I would still take the hamstring tendinopathy a thousand more times over this neck/pinched nerve nonsense.

I need to jump back in here for some motivation and accountability. While I've checked in here or there, I more or less stopped exercising regularly about a year ago due to ongoing health issues and had to pause my Peloton membership over the summer due to finances. I turned 40 at the beginning of last month and I think I'm going through a bit of a mid life anxiety crisis about my health and longevity. So, I really need to re-establish habits and lose some weight and strengthen again in order to chill my mind out a bit, and hope I can keep up with posting again to keep it all in check.
So that's how things are going, haha. I've been tracking loosely since school started last month and I've been increasing since I have my Peloton back. My goal for this month is to start weighing my food and tracking more faithfully. I also need to fit walking back into my work day for more regular exercise.

Considering the rough month, I’m happy with what I was able to do. 60km run, including a 10k race. I’m okay with it, I was just trying to keep life together and running was a plus.
I don’t have any races planned for October, but have some nice pauses in life that will allow for longer enjoyable runs. Going to the countryside of the UK next weekend without kids so planning a fun run and then my MIL has the kids the last week of the month so I’ll be able to fit in a few after work runs along the Seine with my H.
So, all in all, excited for the month ahead!

My running took a huge nosedive in Sept as I was anticipating doing a swim/bike race, which ended up being just a swim. 🤷🏻♀️
I’m happy with how I stuck with weightlifting (lower intensity due to race training) through the whole summer though. I’m in a much better place than I was at the end of last summer.
A bit bummed as I thought this week would really be my big fall return to building strength and running back with a 5k this weekend. (School in session and big fundraiser over). Alas my derm took a mole off the bottom of my foot yesterday. She was all “nbd” but it’s actually pretty painful and I reopened it while cleaning the carpet yesterday 🙄. Full rest day today and we’ll see about tomorrow. If it’s the same or better I’ll at least do some upper body weights. Dunno when I’ll try running.

I'm definitely not digging the standing desk. Trying to keep at it working up in time though. The chiro thinks they should be in network and they are supposed to get back to me when they find out more but for now I'm in treatment limbo just doing things at home.

Ok, well, day two of the month and I didn't get up. In my defense though, Tuesdays might just kill me. Between DD2 dance company classes, DD1 dance class, and she started karate, we go nonstop 430-9pm. Just absolute death by driving around and waiting at activities.
Anyways, I did the 30 minute Calvin Harris ride and a 5 minute stretch. No yoga tonight because we'll be home too late from dance. Food has been spot on at least.

Both boys had soccer in different places tonight so H and divided and conquered. I took the big kid which gave me an hour and a half of time to do a midweek supplemental grocery run and exercise for about 25 minutes. I did a walk/run around the soccer complex and was pleased with how much I was able to jog having not run in a while. I was reminded quickly of how much I love it and hoping to use his practice time at least twice a week to keep building my base back up.
Food was good, though we had pizza for dinner since no time to cook and I ate more than I wanted. No school tomorrow for the holiday so hoping to sit down at some point and plan out some go to meals and snacks to help keep tracking easier and more successful.

September was a wash for me, running-wise. I did manage to meet with my trainer a few times but only managed maybe 1 run a week which is way down for me. And now I’m sick. I need to get my life together lol

Foot is feeling a bit better today, especially if I’m just standing and not walking. I was able to do deadlifts and bench this morning, skipped the accessory work (side lunges etc) Not perfect but I’m happy I showed up.

this sports season is trying to kill me. i have fit in 2, 3 mile runs and 1 20 min jog/walk thing i did. otherwise i am just trying to survive. i am also trying to focus on healthy meals but i am not tracking as it's too time consuming for me right now.

I am trying to be more consistent with my strength and stretching. but i feel like a broken record because i feel like i always say that but don't follow thru. life is super busy, but it always will be so i need to not use that as an excuse. yesterday i did 15 mins of strength, a flash 15, man bad idea, i forgot she always kicks your ass.
That's all i did. but it's something. Hoping to fit in a run today. then tonight I have a kickball game. which, i am loving.

Planned rest day for me today. I'll do yoga tonight, but that's really it. I want to be fresh so I can try to get in a long run tomorrow after crashing out at 6 miles last weekend.

I got my first run (5k) in today, it's been like 2 weeks? Life has been crazy- the main things being that mh got a pre-diabetic diagnosis in his recent blood work and then Hurricane Helene came through. The damage around us has been awful and it seemed just to weird to go running in the neighborhood. The running group is planning to meet up tomorrow, so I may finally get a longish run in.
We got out of it with just a little food lost and a branch down in the yard. No power for 5 days but the campus building I work in has a massive generator so I saved some of our freezer stash there, and we were able to charge phones and stuff. I lived in Tampa Bay for nearly thirty years and never experienced anything like this. The clean up and sort of calming down (of gas & grocery scarcity) has been much quicker than I anticipated though.

Oh my gosh, in case any of you need a good laugh and excellent peloton recommendations, I stumbled onto this and it's such a delight of weird recommendations. I love everything about it. www.reddit.com/r/pelotoncycle/s/h8wCPi6PtGAlso, I'm excited for the new split+ classes. I'm going to do Olivia's tread one after my race in a couple of weeks.

I took a rest day yesterday. 45 minute PZ with Wilpers this morning. It felt good. Sometimes his PZ’s feel more like PZ max’s, but this was a solid mix of zones 3,4, and 5.
