beepers, have you considered making extra at dinner so the leftovers can be lunch? That's basically all I do- I pack it up as part of the clean up so it's all done and ready to throw in our lunchboxes in the morning. Hm.. 🤔 I do this already but it goes to DS’ lunch a lot of the time. But making extra extra is a good idea!!

Well, I took my next to last dose of Pred today and it has had no effect. Bummer. I'm still trying to soldier through, next appt with chiro is tomorrow and I guess we'll see if he says it's time to change things; thus far he has said okay to keep going as long as there isn't a huge exacerbation of symptoms, mild exacerbation is okay.

I cook like two or three things in bulk and just live off it all for a week. Cooking is too much to do everyday. I'm too busy for that. I'm making pesto chicken with asparagus and sundried tomatoes and talipia fish taco fixings for my food this week. I have to do that all this afternoon.

Well I still didn’t finish up Stronger You with the benchmark Period arrived today so that explains a lot. Hit a 30 min pop punk ride today.
Thinking of starting Ben’s 4 day split and ride on Tuesday.

I did Denis’ reset ride this morning, and then PT. I’m planning on doing the yoga part tomorrow.

Tonight was a 4 mile zone 1 recovery run with an extra 1 mile run/walk with DD that was much more walk than run lol. I told her she could wear a costume for our Halloween race that’s coming up and I am now in search of light up butterfly wings. I kind of want to run it in one of those blow up dinosaurs 🤣

Very active weekend deep cleaning and reorganizing things in our house. Got in a 20 minute ride and some walking as well. Food has been better than usual for a 3 day weekend. H is trying to eat healthier which always goes really far in keeping me on track. I also have a pair of jeans that I don't wear often and they fit better than they did when I wore them a month ago, so taking that as a sign that I'm making slow progress.
On another note, I'm trying to talk my kids into running with me. My 9yo, who is a natural athlete and excels at soccer, wants to get faster and my 6yo is more of an artist and not much of an athlete and hasn't been too successful with team sports but wants to try what his brother does. The 6 yo had asked for a trophy shelf for the few things he has earned to match his brother's, which is packed, so I loaned him all of my race medals, which were more than I remembered. They were both excited at the idea of earning medals for finishing a race, so I think we might try going to the track soon while the weather is still nice to see how they do with longer distances. I would love to be able to run and race with them, and it would be the perfect way to really get me back into it.

I’ve been absent. I was in the UK over the weekend and had the perfect fall run doing a 10k in the cotswalds. I miss vibrant fall colors so it was lovely to see them. I’ve got around 8k planned for tonight.

I was an artsy kid and was not interested in organized sports, but I found running in middle school, and then it stuck. The XC coach would basically recruit all of the weird kids. A lot of us were actually athletic but just not necessarily into ball sports! And the cool thing about running is you can be on a team and have that camaraderie, but it’s also still very much an individual sport. I’ve been bringing DD (9) to races for a few years now, and she has a whole collection of medals that she’s super proud of. I recently got her a little display for them in her room.

I fit in a good 2 mile jog yesterday. Today I don't think i have time to run, maybe a walk. I need to fit in 30 mins of strength to make up for no running. fair trade right?
i brought lunch but coworker twisted my arm with tacos. plus i needed some emotional food support today and tacos are my go to.

Went on my first run in nearly 3 weeks this morning. It felt as wonderful and as awful as you’d expect. Got 2.5 miles and went with MH to a park we always overlook so it was really nice. It was not nice to go from running in 73 degree weather (last run) to 38 degrees. 🥶
My foot felt fine which is nice. What isn’t nice is the derm called me yesterday saying the shave biopsy showed moderately atypical cells so they want to do either a larger shave biopsy and check margins again or a punch biopsy (which I HATEEEEE). Ugh. I know it’s the littlest of procedures and not a big deal but it got me down yesterday since it took so long for this to feel better. But. I have a month until then and I’m not gonna waste any days.

I had such a good run today. Workout was a 2 mile warm up, 2 x 1 mile at 5k pace with a 3 minute rest in between and a 2 mile cool down. I ran those intervals at 9:06 and 8:38 (!!). That’s a PR for my mile and that was at a pace that I felt like I could have actually held for a 5k. Man, Fall weather me is a completely different person than Summer weather me. I feel like my half came about 2 weeks too early.

I’m sorry about your foot beepers. Hopefully the further biopsy is just precautionary and everything is okay!

I managed to fit in a 15 min upper body workout with matty. I am going to fit in a run during soccer practice since it's near my trail this evening. I plan on doing a 40 min run, 10 min warm up and followed up with a 30 min interval run. Will also try to fit in another 15 min strength as well.

45 min run/walk on the tread this morning. 30 min run on the tread yesterday evening. It's so cold all of the sudden and as much as I'm not ready for tread runs to start back up, I'm also not ready for 30 degree runs. After today the temp jumps back into the mid-60s-mid-70s, so I'll head back outside while still I can.
last night: 30 min metal run w/ Wilpers (3 miles) 10 min playdate full body stretch w/ Wilpers and Adrian
today: 45 min walk + run w/ Mariana (4 miles) 10 min post-run stretch w/ Wilpers
I'm hoping to get back to the gym tomorrow morning, but my company is announcing the "restructuring" results (just say layoffs please) tomorrow most likely around the same time as my class and I'm hearing it's about 75%-80% of the company. They announced it was happening 2 weeks ago and said it would be complete by the end of the month, but didn't give the day of when it would happen. Luckily I am friends with the higher ups and was told that 1) my job is safe, as is my direct report (the rest of my department is out), and 2) the layoffs are happening tomorrow. So. I'll either need my bed or the gym to work through it because, let's be honest, it's just as much of a nightmare to be the ones kept with the same workload and 66% less people in the department to do it. We'll see what I choose.

Bike to school day plus a 30 minute PZ with Ben for me this morning. I was tired and was going to just phone it in with a low impact ride, but then I saw the recent 30 minute PZ, which felt doable, and I decided to go for it.

A 4 mile easy run for me today. I changed things up and made a playlist from movie/TV scores. I had GOT, LOTR, Last of the Mohicans, MCU, and How to Train Your Dragon (don’t judge this one, it slaps 😅) in there. I highly recommend. You feel like the main character in a fantasy/action adventure movie. Late to reply to this but have you taken the Marvel music ride and run? The ride is with Sam Yo (who I'm sure came up with the idea) and the run is with Logan. So fun.

20 minute premiere run with Erik (squee!!) 5 minute core with Robin 5 minute stretch with Marcel M
That's it for me today since I'm on dance pick up tonight.
For those of you interested in pace targets but don't have a peloton tread, Erik's premiere run class is a pace targets class, but it's available on the app. You should in theory be able to look at all the target ranges and then use them for runs on nonpeloton treadmills.

A little less than 2 miles with DD tonight. She ran the whole time! She was so proud of herself. She was just chatting away with me and I think she didn’t even realize how long she had been running and I certainly wasn’t going to say anything 🤣 I just kept asking her questions to keep her distracted and suddenly our loop was done.

I was home today with a sick kid, and I'm proud of my day. Food was planned and in check and I balanced moving around getting stuff done and snuggling on the couch.
I took the big kid to soccer and got in 27 minutes of walking/running. I did one mile of intervals where I ran probably .85 miles of it. It felt pretty good, except that my heel is KILLING me now. I have plantar fasciitis that was badly aggravated over the summer with sandals and less supportive footwear and it's been plaguing me since. The running definitely caused it to flare tonight and it's the worst it has felt in a while. I just iced it and I'm hoping it will feel better in the morning.
