sewfi2 and RunsforWineandCarbs, hope you and your families are staying safe. 30 minute intervals and arms with Cody (in beast mode!) for me this morning, plus PT.

Morning.
A 45 minute interval run with Wilpers and a 5 minute stretch is it for me today. I'm on carpool pick up for dance and they go LATE tonight.
Food should be good.

Deadlifts/bench today. Everything still going well there. Really need to focus on getting enough protein in. I have not been doing well especially mid-day.

Doc called in the Pred, so I started that today. I didn't listen closely enough to the message and went to an ob/gyn appt this morning that isn't until next Wednesday. Oops.
Hope to get a workout in this afternoon, busy all morning and I have to sit in on a product demo from 1-2.

My elbow is still stiff and painful and I have a limited range of motion after my cortisone shot so exercise is tricky. Walking is about the only thing I can comfortably do so I got out for a mile walk during lunch today. It felt good to get out and moving, especially with the crisp fall weather.
I had therapy today and we talked a lot about mindset with exercise and body image. It was really helpful because I tend to be a goal-oriented, all or nothing kind of person since it keeps me focused and accountable. It can backfire though when I fall behind or can't follow my plan and I just shut down, which is where I've been for the past 1.5 years. I'm at a point in my life where I really need to focus on daily intentional choices until I re-establish habits and routines and I think I can be more successful with that. We'll see!

In a bad mood today. My allergies were horrible last night and kept waking me up. Then the dogs started barking at around 6 AM and never quit. Going to try to get my run in, in a little bit.

20 minute climb ride with Jess King and 10 minute arms and shoulders with Katie. That class was brutal. I broke 200kj and the only other 20 minute class I have with an output over 200 is my most recent FTP. Woof.
That's it for me today. The second it's dark we're driving out to the beach to watch the northern lights. They're already here and all the data points to a phenomenal show that'll be visible to the naked eye as far south as Kansas and Missouri! Get outside tonight!

Late to check in but I got in a 30 minute low impact ride with Tunde this morning. I’m so glad this week is almost over!

Got up for a 30 minute 90s hip hop run with Robin and a stretch. I didn't have to be to work until 8am so I got to sleep in a bit and worked out at 6am!
We leave to camp this afternoon so no yoga, but I'll run outside this weekend.

I have been feeling hella anxious the last 2 weeks and I have been taking the mood rides (sad/anxious) and they have helped a lot. I am trying to get back into riding 4x a week. So far so good this week! Last weekend I made like 17 freezer meals and it has been such a huggggge help. I just dump one in the slow cooker before work and it has saved us from so much takeout during sports days. I used a PDF I found on tiktok with 6 recipes and a grocery list to make it all at once. this is it (the crockpot one): stan.store/emyxbudgetsahmit is free but they send to your email. Have you tried them yet? Any solid winners you’d recommend?

The creole black beans were good, the stew was good (kind of generic but good) and the green chicken chili was really good! Haven't tried the chili or the corn chowder. The potato curry was very bland.

A 6 mile easy run for me tonight. I pushed it a bit on the last mile because I was feeling so good. I’m really enjoying this tiny window of time where the weather is just right. And now that I’ve said that I’m sure it’ll snow next week 🫠

3.6 miles along the Lake Ontario shoreline this morning. The wind is absolutely bonkers and there were three foot swells crashing to shore. The wind was icy too! But, it was totally worth it. Such a beautiful run.

I had late nights working, and then was up early all week. I was struggling yesterday, so I took a rest day and was in bed by 9. I tried to wake up at 6am this morning so I could walk the dog before doing Wilpers’ 7am 90 minute live ride, but I was still so tired. I ended up sleeping past 7. I did Tunde’s 30 minute intervals and arms and an extra 10 low impact with Cody instead. I’ll get that 90 minute ride in tomorrow, Monday, or Tuesday, depending on time/ how I’m feeling.

A 4 mile easy run for me today. I changed things up and made a playlist from movie/TV scores. I had GOT, LOTR, Last of the Mohicans, MCU, and How to Train Your Dragon (don’t judge this one, it slaps 😅) in there. I highly recommend. You feel like the main character in a fantasy/action adventure movie.

I favorites a bunch when I took the Marvel classes a couple of weeks ago to throw into my running playlist.

We're home. I normally ride after we get back from camping, but we had another night booked and were waffling on staying or not, so I did a lazy 2.4 miles through the camp loops. Then it started raining, so we packed up and came home. Yoga tonight.

Oof. It was tough out there today. An 8 mile long run in 45° with 25 mph winds. I almost forgot how to dress for the cold lol. My pace was all over the place because of the wind. I did an out and back and on the way out I was with the wind, last mile that direction was a 10:38 pace, turned around and slammed into the wind and that next mile was 11:45 🤣 My route is all along county highways and the corn is gone now so there is literally nothing to break the wind. Just me and the prairie lol.

Hello.
5 minute warm up walk with Jess Sims 45 minute interval run with Logan 10 minute stretch with Robin
Yoga tonight. I missed it last night due to power outages from the wind storm we had and late bedtimes. My legs are barking though and I need to pull back this week. My half marathon is Sunday, so powering down my legs and making sure they're fresh and loose is this week's objective. The weather looks PERFECT for Sunday though, which is exciting. I had deferred this race last year and it ended up being pouring freezing rain, so score one for me. This will be my fifth time doing this race (third half, two fulls) and I've had spotless weather every time 😎

We had fun camping this weekend but didn’t get much movement.
Back to the gym today for deadlifts/bench. I am steadily building back on those but really pushed my accessory work today and hit a lot of PR’s on those 🎉
Trying to meal plan better this week. (Dinners are always planned but working on including lunches)

I have been seriously slacking on the exercise front. I got out for a little over 5 miles yesterday. I did use the new total gym a couple of times at least and I'm trying to get back on track with food. Bleh
MIL is fine- no flooding at her house and she didn't seem to lose power either!

beepers, have you considered making extra at dinner so the leftovers can be lunch? That's basically all I do- I pack it up as part of the clean up so it's all done and ready to throw in our lunchboxes in the morning.
