I'm on day 9 of my no sugary stuff diet and about 1.5 weeks into ab exercises. I feel lighter, but hungry all the time. Not sure how to solve that problem. I am eating pretty much the same as before, just cut out things with added sugar/all baked goods except whole grain bread. I'm not sure if my stomach is shrinking yet, but I've noticed my pelvic floor seems stronger already. Try eating a little more protein.

I have peanut butter on celery or toast, roasted nuts, "protein" cereal, and we usually eat meat with dinner and lunch. Do I need more than that?

I've been doing a good job following my workout plan. The boys are actually cooperating (most days) so I'm able to do more than a few minutes. So far I can definitely see and feel a difference in my arms. Not sure if I'm losing anything, but definitely building muscle.

I haven't been able to find time during the day to workout lately. There was a week there I was able to get J down during B's nap but that must have been a fluke because it hasn't been happening. His morning nap has become longer (about 2 hours) so instead of his afternoon nap being around 2/2:30 it ends up being at 3/3:30 and B usually wake up around 3:30/4. I mean, I could work out at night I suppose. I just don't have the energy after cooking and feeding my entire family, dishes, baths if necessary, and doing J's bedtime. By the time I sit down it's usually 8pm and the last thing I want to do is workout. Blah.

classymrsa try adding up the amount of grams you're getting in a day. You should aim for your body weight in grams for protein.

Oh, I am most definitely not getting enough protein. Like, at all. That's probably why I always find myself down at the vending machine buying Butterfingers and cheddar and sour cream chips.

So a 150lb woman needs 150 grams of protein a day?! If you're active and trying to get leaner, yes. It's not easy, but doable. And the more I focus on getting lean protein into me the easier it is to see what I'm really eating and can cut back on the carbs and fat. I function best off of a base macro diet of 200 g carbs/100 g protien/50 g fat. That gives me 1650 calories in a day and therefore some wiggle room because I need 1700-1800 for maintenance. When I need to cut weight I drop those carbs down to 100-150 g per day.

Speaking of sex...
Last weekend after our friends left I told MH that if did bedtime for both kids then he could find me naked in our bed when he was done. Except instead of getting naked, I threw up in the toilet and refused to get off the bathroom floor until sometime after midnight. #WOTY

Probably not where I should be, though. I thought it was way less. Eta: based on a quick estimate, I think I'm right around 100g which based on my weight would be low. Crazy.

I've honestly been struggling big time the past nine months because my go-to's are out. A protein shake is the easiest way to get 20-40+ grams in at a time, but casein and whey are a dairy protein. Optimum nutrition and Quest make a great whey powder for in between and Syntha 6 (has carbs) is great if you need a meal replacement. Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, egg whites, cheese were always eaten daily. Cottage cheese can be savory or sweet and a few tablespoons thrown in with whole eggs makes bomb scrambled eggs. I liked to have a serving of Greek yogurt every morning, but it's also great as a sub for mayo or sour cream. I found Fage plain 0% is best for replacing those. I eat egg whites with hot sauce, or make them in a muffin pan with veggies for the week. I also put them in my oats every morning. There's also the run of the mill protein bars and adding whey to recipes. I used to make muffins, cookies, and protein bites that were all decent enough. Not comparable to their non protein counterparts, but perfect when you need something sweet or quick.

It's also to be noted that I do not eat like this 100% of the time. I eat like this mayyyybe 90% of the time. But it's so that I can truly do whatever I want the other 10%. I don't like the idea of cheat meals and having to worry about xyz when we eat/go out or on vacation. I stick to this as much as possible and treat my body like a machine and then when I want to go hard on an entire bag of sour gummy worms I do. And don't feel bad for a second.

I will always be "more in the mood" for sex than vomiting or being drunk enough to vomit. So that's my little secret.... I haven't been actual drunk in a few years. I have too much a control issue, when I start to get a good buzz I start pounding water bc I don't like the feeling of being drunk lol. Sorry to ruin the Wedding2012 image!

I haven't been drunk enough to get sick in a long, long time. Last weekend was a combination of drinking on an empty stomach and not staying hydrated. I can definitely get drunk enough to have to close on eye in order to see my phone to make sure I'm yelling gibberish to you guys and not texting my boss by mistake, but the whole spending the night on the bathroom floor hasn't happen in quiet some time.

MH never gets drunk. He'll get tipsy, but that's about it. But he's 6'9 and weighs over 300lbs and only drinks beer, so it take A LOT of beer to get him drunk. I've only seen it happen twice in 10 years together.
