Any suggestions on arm toning exercises I can do in the comfort of my living room with the babies?
Also is anyone experienced with hip dysplasia? My sisters and I all have this so traditional ab exercises make it feel like my hip pops in and out as I do them. I should prob talk to a doctor but I've just dealt with it my whole life and managed just fine. But looking for other ideas for ab exercises that don't stress that area. I am ok with crunches that leave my feet flat on the ground and I just raise/lower the top half of my abs/shoulders/head.

kleigh of course pushups, but I "like" tricep dips and they can be done easily with just a chair. You can do without the chair but I find the chair gives a bigger range of motion and is more challenging.

kleigh I love tricep dips. Can you find anything sort of close to the ground but not really? Edge of a couch or coffee table and do them? Or I like throwing a medicine ball up in the air above my head and catching it.

kleigh, was starting to wonder about you! Sorry for the rough week, I hope your little ones are feeling better. Thank you! They are! It was weird, just snotty and fevers that would magically come and go every hour. The pedi didn't see any issue, no EI, no throat issues, etc. Then yesterday afternoon I discovered AV popped both top teeth so there ya go. I bet AB is right behind that - they did this with the bottom two also. Edit throat

I can definitely do the tricep dips, that's a perfect idea! That's my "problem area" too. I can use the couch.. I moved our coffee table bc I was terrified of one of them hitting their face so that's not an option.

After eating and drinking crap this weekend, I managed to lose 2lbs when I stepped on the scale this morning so that was motivating.
I'm so tired--a nap sounds much better than working out but we will see.

Here's a tricep routine that looks like it can be done with the kids running around. www.shape.com/fitness/workouts/goodbye-batwings-5-moves-toned-triceps^lol that the link says goodbye batwings.

Kicking off week 3 today. Even though we were traveling and I didn't stick to my meal plan 100% this past weekend, I stepped on the scale this morning and I am down exactly 6 lbs. from two weeks ago. I'm going to record my "official" weight and measurements tomorrow but that was a nice surprise!

kleigh I really like Tracy Anderson's arm workouts. I'll see if I can link some you tube videos on my phone.

I want that lady's body. Why can't I just eat cookie dough and drink beer and wake up with a flat tummy and toned arms and legs?

Winter outerwear
What's the plan this year for everyone? Last year I just bundled up the bucket seat in and out of places, but this year she'll be carried and needs a jacket. Just buy a regular winter coat in her size and put it on/take it off a million times for car seat safety?

I always put the jacket over them (after they are buckled in) or bring a blanket.

Most people are ill say to put the coat in backwards once they're in to stay warm but O would never let me. But he never complained of being cold either. He usually had a sweatshirt or fleece on over regular clothes.

It doesn't get nearly as cold here as it does elsewhere but I would run M to the car and then put blankets over her. She only wore jackets if she was going on the playground. Kid hated jackets when she was younger. Now she only wears them if they match...I foresee a shit load of money being spent on her wardrobe in her teen years.

Also terrified of slipping on ice while carrying. But I think just warm the car up in advance (need to convince H to get a remote starter) and then blankets on top

Alright, official measurements are in for me as of this morning. I started my program on 7/31 and as of today:
Weight: -7.2 lbs. Chest: +.5 inch (but I am not really paying any attention to chest measurements because nursing; it changes constantly) Right bicep: +.25 inch Waist: -1 inch Belly button: -.5 inch Glutes: no change Right thigh: no change Right Calf: +.25 inch
Weight, waist, and belly went down so I count these first 2 weeks as a success.

I'm on day 9 of my no sugary stuff diet and about 1.5 weeks into ab exercises. I feel lighter, but hungry all the time. Not sure how to solve that problem. I am eating pretty much the same as before, just cut out things with added sugar/all baked goods except whole grain bread.
I'm not sure if my stomach is shrinking yet, but I've noticed my pelvic floor seems stronger already.
