Ugh. I did that old person thing where I slept weird and now my neck is bum for the rest of the day. Turning left is a struggle.
I was able to bumble through my workout thank goodness.
10 min core with Becs 30 min full body strength with Callie (mean girls movie themed) 20 min stretch with Adrian

5 mile run this morning. I'm at 15.5 for the week with 2 days left to hit 20 miles, but I'm going to go to crossfit on Saturday so I'll try to get the final 4.5 miles tomorrow. 20 miles is DEFINITELY a stretch goal for me, but it's seems to be working well! (Although this is only the second week, so I reserve the right to change my mind later - lol). I am pushing myself to hit 4-6 miles each run, whereas before I was fine stopping at 3 miles each time. My goal is to keep this up until the week of Christmas. We'll be in Mexico that week and I'll still run while I'm there, but I'm more interested in getting my workouts done quickly so I can spend more time by the pool. Eating is going better this week. H is out of town, so there's a lot less pressure to have a drink(s) and hang out in the evenings. I'm also really trying hard to keep up with my macro tracking. I was listening to a podcast that finally hit home with regards to estimating macros being better than not tracking because they're not perfect. So I've done good! Again, for only 2 days, but still....

Rest day yesterday. This morning I did an intervals and arms ride with Sam Yo. The day off really helped. My legs felt fresh and it was much easier to keep a higher cadence and resistance.

I took like 2 weeks off from my Pilates because we went to Disney and then had a cold and Thanksgiving but I'm back at it this week and feeling good.
I saw a quote on tiktok this morning that really resonated with me (and can apply to anything from working out, practicing, studying)- You can suffer now in the form of discipline or suffer later in the form of regret.

5 min warm up walk 30 min move as one walk + run 10 extra walk 5 min cool down walk 10 min core strength

Still working on learning RPE… man it’s tricky! I think I generally underestimate so I tried to be way more intentional on how it FELT rather than what I’ve done before and ended up PRing deadlifts (FINALLLLY got 100 lbs!), bench press and shoulder press!!! Now I’m super tired and jello-like 😂. Gotta focus on water and protein today

Tonight is the weekly Trail Sisters night run, looking forward to that. The loop that's planned is 6 miles.
Yesterday I did a holiday run with Matty from two years ago, I think? The one where he runs in an ugly sweater and does a modern version of the 12 days of Christmas. Very funny.

I knew Peloton was changing the way they did their memberships but I wasn't sure when. I guess my original membership expired 12/6 and now I have the "Peloton One" membership, meaning I only get 3 cardio classes a month. I honestly haven't been doing that many rides so I guess it's fine but I was going to do a 20 min holiday ride today and then got notified that it was one of my three per month, so I decided against it b/c I need to budget these now, lol. I know I could upgrade but I don't know if its worth it for the amount of rides I do.

If I read the email correctly, the changes happen at your next billing cycle. Mine hasn't hit yet, but I'm going to wait it out and see. If I do PZP again I'll have to upgrade.

I had a Botox appt this morning and the NP and I were talking about how we have been neglecting our Pelotons. 😂 (I wore a Peloton sweatshirt which sparked the conversation, we have discussed it before.)

Anyway, I went to OTF this morning. I’m still a little stiff from Tuesday, but today’s workout shook me out of it a little bit. Some steady increasing inclines on the tread, and a few all outs. Bosu work on the floor. It was a solid workout. I am doing 3 days in a row including today, but at least the next couple days will not be at 5 am at least.

My first actual rest day in awhile. I am beat. I am also on prednisone, so the water weight and swelling are real. Everything tastes super salty and I am peeing a bunch.

A lot of people are buying the guide as a work around because the guide membership price is the same as the top tier app and it gets you all access, so as many rides as you'd want. Then you're paying less than a true full membership price but getting the full access plus you can have multiple accounts on your membership. In case that's something you might consider.

Unintentional recovery day for me. I slept through both alarms despite only having one MOTN wakeup and feeling fine when my early alarm went off. I just passed back out. I don't know. H woke me up because I was going to be late. Oops.
Anyways I planned a short ride after school, but I forgot we had a faculty meeting, the dog has a vet appointment, and DD2 has ballet, so yeah, it's not happening. I've got a 30 minute yoga queued up for tonight and now I'm cranky.
Better luck tomorrow I guess.

Yesterday was a rest day for me. Wednesday is my busiest day of the week so it’s always one of my rest days. Today I did 5 miles. Y’all. Y’ALL. I was running in a t-shirt and shorts. In December. It’s a Christmas miracle. It’s 47° out. I felt amazing. If I didn’t have to head to my kids’ holiday concert at school I would have gone another couple of miles. I felt like I could go forever and I was flying. I almost PRed my 5K in the middle of a 5 mile easy run. I should sign up for an early spring race if this is how it feels to run in even a tiny bit of warmth after some snow and ice 🤣

Active recovery day for me. I messed up and slept in and it got my day off all funky. But after work I did the 30 min holiday walk with Jess King and a 20 min alternative yoga class with Kirra.
The Jess walk was good but definitely more than recovery. She was in her element though so it was fun. People on FB are big mad about that class because she says Santa isn’t real and apparently their kids overheard it.
I’m so glad tomorrow is Friday. This week has been exhausting.

Morning.
Gosh I hate starting my day at 3am. We're going to basically sleep train the puppy over break in a few weeks. The little asshole goes all day without accidents, there's no reason for him to demand being let out in the middle of the night and I am OVER IT. Anyways.
45 minute holiday tread boot camp with RK Extra 10 run with Mariana 5 minute holiday stretch with Tobias
RK isn't my favorite, but the workout was decent, minus the free mode. I'm so glad they've stopped doing that.
No yoga tonight. The kids are going to parents night out at daycare so H and I are kid free until 11pm tonight. Byeeeee, kiddies.
Food should be fine. I really want a chestnut praline on my way to school so I'll probably splurge on that.

Tried to squeeze in a run this morning since it’s a very packed day but was delayed a bit after the breaker flipped and it took me a few minutes to figure out the problem 🤦🏻♀️ I was able to get just under 2 miles so I’m happy with that. DS has his first swim meet tomorrow so hopefully I can sleep well I think I’ll be more anxious than he is going to be.
