Oh man. I was in struggle town today. My body just doesn’t feel well. DS seems to be fighting off a cold and I wonder if I am too. I got through my workout but it wasn’t pretty or my best effort.
10 min core with Jess Sims 30 min full body strength with Callie 10 min lower body stretch with Callie
I need to catch up on sleep this weekend for sure.

I missed one day in my streak for the month because of work travel. I’m out of practice and just couldn’t do it. But! Instead of throwing in the towel I’m just going to pick it back up. I got 2.5 miles in yesterday, on track to do about the same today, maybe a little more if I can get all my work done early. I also have a massage scheduled at 3 today and I cannot wait.

OTF today. I decided that I would go Sunday instead of tomorrow, so that I can sleep in (as much as DS will let me). Plus going Sunday gives me an opportunity to do a Strength 50 class.
Today was a good one. Slow and heavy strength on the floor. Endurance on the treads. I swear the 12 days of Christmas must be another Hell week, because every tread block has had no walking recoveries unless it’s a series of all outs. My body is tired. 😭 But in a good way.

I realized I didn’t check in yesterday. My body has been tired so I’ve been only doing 30 minutes the last 2 days.
Thursday: liift4 W2D3 shoulders intervals. Friday: leg day! 30 minutes legs and glutes with Rebecca. 5 minute standing core

I got to leave work early today because there were no kids in school and we just had a holiday party. So I got a nice early afternoon run in for 4 miles. My NSV is that we got new logo shirts too and when we ordered I was afraid that a large would be too tight because they said they ran small (after I already put my size in 😒), but I have plenty of room!
DD2 also got asked to be on the Math Masters competition team today and my nerd heart is so excited for her. She’s already talking about how she can’t wait to add it to her space camp scholarship application 😂 I’m like, yes girl, chase that free money!

Morning.
45 minute holiday run with Becs and a 5 minute stretch with Camila. That run was from 2020 and had a lot of Thick Of Pandemic talk in the beginning. How very different things were. So surreal. I also apparently did that run live as a milestone, because I was surprised to hear myself get a shout out for 150 runs. I'm closing in on 1000 now, so that's fun.
Yoga tonight. Going to try to keep food in check.
Our kid free night got spoiled by DS getting sent home from daycare with a fever yesterday too, so just holding my breath until our whole house gets walloped with RSV, since they had a confirmed case. Whomp whomp.
DD2 is supposed to dance with her ballet class in our town's outdoor holiday on main event today before the tree lighting. Hopefully we can go.

Another weekend, another cheer thing for my kids. This weekend it’s just an out of town clinic and showcase. But that meant I had to find somewhere to run in a city I don’t know very well. I found a nice trail along the river front and got 4 miles in the rain. I don’t want to talk about the hill I had to climb to get to this bridge across the river though 😅 (pic under spoiler in case it’s huge)

So this running streak thing is hard! My slightly revised goal is 40 peloton miles for December. I’m at 12 now, and I think 10/week is more reasonable than anything else. Turns out the days I don’t have time to workout I just… don’t have time to workout. So consistency, discipline, and maybe trying for a streak in January when I’m not traveling all over the damn place.

45 min pop run with Hoskins for 6km. My daughter also had a cheer comp today ( bunnyfungo) and I needed the time to myself to decompress, those events are just so… loud. I love that journey for my DD but I’ll be not unhappy when she decides it’s not for her.

DS had his first swim meet today 🥰 it was a good experience and poorly attended so he will get a few ribbons! We made it home way earlier than I expected so I had time to get my gym workout. Today was the last day of this block and super happy I upped a few more things.

Happy sunday ya'll. Yesterday was a 12k trail race. I think I fell in love with trail running. After we sat around our cars and hung out. The weather was beautiful and the entire morning made me so happy.
Today was a 2 mile brisk walk with brodie. I need to xmas shop today. like all it needs to be done. I am not looking forward to it at all.

5 minute warm up ride with Sam 30 minute XOXO Cody Christmas ride 5 minute stretch with Emma
Yoga tonight.
Groceries are ordered. Going to make some curry in the crockpot today. I finally saw some movement on the scale for the first time in months this morning and I'd like to keep that up, so game snacks today are just pita chips and hummus. It'll just end up being my dinner too since the Bills game is late enough and snacking will keep me full.

Yesterday I didn’t get anything in— I was up early to bring DD to a 1 mile race. Then home. Cleaned as much as I could for two hours, and then brought DD and her friend to an acrobatic circus. Back at it today. 30 minute xoxo ride with Cody this morning and an extra 10 low impact plus a 5 minute stretch.

I went to OTF this morning for a Strength 50 class. I love these classes and try to go when it fits my schedule. They are just offered at weird times. I got my 6 classes for the 12 days of Christmas challenge and got my blanket!

cnf Why is your puppy torturing you? Isn’t he like 5 months old now? Little stinker. Zara has managed to sleep through the night in her crate for 4 nights now and thank god. She was a nutbag in our bed. Also, hi. I have had bronchitis for a week so I haven’t exercised in line 10 days. Blah.

He slept through the night the last two nights, with some ignoring on our part. He never has accidents during the day when he's crated home alone for 8 hours so there's no reason he needs to go out at night, honestly. We're done getting up with him. I'm sorry you don't feel well. I hope you're doing better soon.

Oh man, so I don’t know if I’m fighting off the cold DS has, overextended myself with activities, or am burning out - probably all of the above. But anyways, I felt like crap yesterday. Headache most of the day and just so tired. I took a full rest day, only walking the dog. I slept better last night but still woke up kind of tired. I ended up going back to sleep after getting up and slept on and off until 11. My word.
Anyways, back to it today.
10 min core with Emma 75 min PZE with Wilpers 10 min lower body stretch with Jess King
That’s my first 75 min ride - trying to work up to that 120 class. It went well and I feel accomplished. Gotta love the automatic PR. lol.
Redoing my schedule this week because I’m going to start RK’s 5 day split.

well it's definitely a monday. spoiler bc tmi i woke up to what could be cd1 surprise and mess. then i scratched the crap out of my head and made myself bleed. and now i am upset because i think i am starting menopause and i'm annoyed. you guys, my next cycle starts in 12 days and i have only had 6 days in this cycle of non period days. plus unexplained hot flashes a few weeks ago. please tell me this isn't how it's going to be....lol. i have a call into my doc to discuss. Anyways, today is run club. it's our holiday cookie exchange party and there is a beer stop on the route. I will get a good 3 miles in along with some holiday cheer!

I lifted this weekend for the first time in a very long time. I did a beginner full-body class with Callie and went very light on weight. I am done with school for the next month, so I've decided I need to use this time to get back to it.
