So, at the Saturday race I ran (pun intended) into people from the training group I did back last winter and spring and one of them said a few are going to do the half that I did last Feb (where I got my sub-2). Since then my conversations with myself about it have been: I was looking at hotels yesterday. I can still do frugal February if I pay it all upfront, right?

This morning I put on the one pair of jeans that fit me well and I did not need to squat or wiggle them on. The scale may not be moving, but at least I know I’m trimming up in other ways. This is the BEST feeling!

Had a late start so I only did Liift4 W2d2 back and biceps 50/50. It worked though because it’s 20 minutes of lifting 17 min hiit and 3 min core so it is a full workout really

I was up for a bit in the middle of the night, so I slept in (very rare for me to even be able to), and had to push my run until after the morning PTA meeting. Still went out for about 3 miles, and I have the Bring it On Soundtrack strength stacked to take in a bit.

CF again this morning, since H will be out of town and I'll be treadmilling it for the rest of the week. Today, I split jerk 150# and blew my last PR (145# from 2020!) out of the water. I haven't even put up over 135# this year, so I was shocked when I totalled up the weight at the end.

I didn’t work out yesterday, and I did a double today. Not 100% intentionally lol. OTF this morning was killer, I got a lot of splat points. Endurance on both treads and floor (with a decent amount of rowing).
And then my friend who just got laid off asked if I wanted to go on a hike so I said sure. It was WAY hillier than I thought it would be. 4 very hilly miles. My butt is going to be so sore.

That is awesome! The amount of pants I have to squat then jump and tug to get over my damn thighs. Hate it. Congratulations!

80 miles outside in December is a killer goal bunnyfungo! I get it. I really struggle with the tread too. But brrrrr!!!! Haha. I might regret that goal later this month. But it helps that I have 10 days off of work this month for winter break so I can go at the warmest part of the day. We’re in the 20s for temps now and I haven’t even busted out my coat yet. I’ve been good with a base layer and a mid layer. So 🤞 It’ll be that Midwest wind that kills me though. Cold weather people unite, lol. I debated wearing a coat today even though it's been snowing. I only did because my shirt today was three quarter sleeves. And by coat I mean a super light weight race jacket I got a few years ago from a half marathon. I actually really love running in the snow. I find it so lovely and peaceful.

I started the Lift More Super Block, the only one I've bought because I love CJ. I'm not impressed. The actual program was much better. I think I'll stay away from SBs in the future.
I am looking forward to Shaun's Dig Deeper, though.

I did a 45 min run that I again took it easy on. My hip started bothering me after 30 min so I had to walk the rest of the way. I did a bunch of stretching that hopefully helps.
Food is good - Greek yogurt with protein granola and berries; half a bagel with eggs; a frozen chicken quinoa meal from aldi; probably also a protein shake and maybe ice cream.

This is my night off from taking the kids to their activities so I got a 4 mile run in this afternoon and followed it up with a 30 min upper body roll call with Callie. It’s obvious that I’ve been neglecting strength because my arms feel like jelly🥴

I almost slept in this morning but got up just in time to get my workout in.
10 min core with Becs 30 min PZ with Denis 10 min focus flow pigeon pose with Chelsea
Denis’ playlist saved me - I don’t think I would have made it through the last zone 5 interval without the Beastie Boys blasting.

Ugh I either caught something new or this is lingering. Boo either way.
No motivation just habit to get me to the gym today. Did squats and such and was just alright. Better than doing nothing!
It feels weird to still not be going to therapy, but I had a couple more “baby steps” victories in the last week so I know I’m just readjusting (yay but I also hate it)

I did a 30 min club bangers run with Alex for 2.5 miles and was able to keep up to his call outs so yay! I think I’m going to aim for 40 miles this month. Doesn’t seem like a lot but I want to see how these numbers add up.

Since it was my Liift4 rest day I tried Selena today
30 minute full body 10 minute Hiit
It was hard but good. I did hear her say something I didn’t like during the hiit. She said if you need to modify maybe you are a beginner you probably shouldn’t be taking an intermediate class but if you do there are modifications. It’s so different from Jess, Rebecca, and Callie and their modifications and Jess’ no ego amigo mentality that I’m used to even if she is probably right. I modify jumping about half the time because my knees are bad

10 min warm up run w/ Wilpers 30 min interval run w/ Hannah 15 min 80s rock run w/ Suzy

FYI Old Navy is having a sale on active wear today. I’ve never tried their stuff but I have a lot from Athleta and I’m assuming because they are owned by the same company it’s probably similar. I got a pair of leggings, two long sleeve seamless tops, a couple of half zips and a vest for $128. I need to just not look at my email between now and Christmas lol. I get suckered in by all these sales.
