My pediatrician's office shows it as an option through their MyChart, but you can't actually get a slot for an under 12 yo yet.
I was able to snag an option through our hospital for my teenagers so hopefully there will be lots of choices very soon.

What do people think of the 50μg kids' dosage for Moderna? That's five times the Pfizer dose. Heck, that's bigger than the adult dosing of Pfizer. If given the option, would you rather have that for your children? Or would you be more comfortable with the lower dose. After the hell that was last year and 5 quarantines, they are getting the first one available, and i will be marching their butts to the state site the first day 😂 I have strong feels on this lol My province indicated to not expect vaccinations until the new year, so it is very possible that both will be available at the same time for me. I was curious what people were thinking, though I agree with your logic. It will be interesting to see how Moderna's trials stack up against Pfizer.

It's finally happening! Now just to wait for the CDC next week...I'm hopeful that some clinics and stuff start popping up in the meantime to pre-schedule. I'm so antsy.

Yay. I think I’m going to get boostered when DS gets his shot. It should be good timing and will hopefully make him feel better to do it together. Getting our shots at Walgreens has been easy this year so I’m hoping we can just do that.

I am almost in tears I am so happy I couldn't figure out why I just started crying and I realized it was due to this news + sappy song. One kid down

Kid hasn’t been sick at all during the pandemic, idk how he’ll deal with feeling crummy after all this time.

We're going to make this as "worth it" in their minds as possible. My little one usually shakes like a leaf and cries during her flu shot. I am expecting the same.
Like the others, I would prefer Moderna - but we're not waiting. I figure their boosters can be Moderna. It's more important to get them something.

I live in a small town and we just got a survey to determine interest in setting up a town vaccine clinic for the kids. They also got their flu shots last week and were so brave about it since we've talked so much about how important vaccines are to our own health and to our community. We are READY to go!!

I already checked my pediatrician's website again since the announcement and still no 5-11 time slots, but the option to select it is there. I will continue to obsessively check multiple times a day. Otherwise it's to CVS we go. I want this kid vaccinated!

Our event center opened up for boosters today and apparently they took appointments and had a no appointment line. Welp, they underestimated the enthusiasm for boosters for an area that is 90%+ vax’d and apparently it caused a huge traffic jam and some people waited up to four hours to get a shot.
Yesterday I was at cvs getting my flu shot because I missed all my work clinics and people were walking in getting covid boosters. I feel badly for people who waited a long time and could have just walked in to a pharmacy and gotten a shot. What a mess.

Took my mom to Walgreens to get her booster, it took AN HOUR
WITH AN APPOINTMENT
I am not good at waiting when I’m not mentally prepared for it 😅 but at least it’s done

willow, beaf12, will do! I do work for a clinic--on the administrative side. So while I personally don't have a lot of involvement with the fine details of stuff like this, I'm in all the meetings where it's hashed out.

Even kids are gonna end up needing booster eventually, so get pfizer asap and keep in mind moderna as a booster.

Our pediatrician hasn’t set up anything yet but I’m sure he will for us to make appts. But H was exposed at work so now I have everything crossed his vaccine works and we don’t all get it.
