I think I read 5 during March - my favorite was The Nightingale but I really enjoyed Verity too. I'm reading The Good Daughter by Slaughter now and enjoying it so far. I'll do a few more thrillers and then head back to some historical fiction. I don't know how you guys read so many in a month. I don't watch any TV but can't manage to get through more than 1-2 a week. I listen to an audiobook basically all day most days. I read 12 books last month and 8 of them were audio. Yes- when I go for a walk, clean or cook or going to pick up the kid from daycare.

I finished a horror novella called Go Down Hard, which is a really dark twisted take on the meet cute, but with serial killers. Serious TW for sexual assault, but if you like dark horror, I recommend it!
I am starting Hench and am really liking it so far!

I got An Invincible Summer as my Prime first read. It was fluffy and quick, a little formulaic, but it looks like it's the beginning of a series and I'm interested to see what the next book is about.
Still making my way through Professional Troublemaker. It's so good so far.

So I end up driving a ton and always have audiobooks on. I've read way more physical books year than I have before but even that is like 1 per week.

Good Morning! I think I'm starting to get out of my reading slump. I finished Much Ado About You earlier this week and it was really cute. I'm currently reading The Worst Best Man and it seems decent so far, too. There are some good deals on Kindle books today! I bought The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See. I'm debating a few others (One by One by Ruth Ware and Shipped by Angie Hockman). Ugly Love, The Unhoneymooners, and Invisible Girl were all good. Ugly Love was my favorite Colleen Hoover book

Finished 2 books during my cross country flights this weekend - I think both were Amazon First books from months past:
The Secret Stealers by Jane Healey - Historical fiction set in German occupied France The Deadly Mystery of the Missing Diamonds by T.E. Kinsey - Historical fiction set in London
Both were solid 3-stars and I am glad to have them checked off. Haven't decided which Amazon First book to get this month

I started The Hunting Party, but I am not far and it isn't catching me yet, but I have had a really busy weekend so that could be why.
I also started The Last Flight because I saw it on the BOTM website and it looked good. It seems like it will be the typical psychological thriller and I am into it.

I am fully deep into Boarding School Murder Mysteries right now.
They Wish they Were us, Jessica Goodman People Like us, Dana mele If we Were Villains, M.L. Rio
I recommend them all if you like YA mysteries set at boarding schools

I started Anna K on audio today and I am really enjoying it. Iโve never read Anna Karenina, but this is a YA retelling and Iโm about an hour into it.

Didnโt someone say they were reading Girl A? I was thinking of putting it as an add on this month but reviews seem mixed.

My 5yo (almost 6yo) just came to me in tears and said she was a little bit happy and a little bit sad. When I asked if she knew what was making her feel that way she said she finished her books from her Easter basket and now she doesnโt know what to do. I was like, yeah, I get that. Poor baby has her first book hangover.

Did anyone here read The Lost Apothecary? Oh that book was a HUGE letdown for me. Iโm so sad about it. I finished it yesterday and I still canโt stop thinking about what it could have been. It could have been amazing. The blurb sounds fantastic.... murder, mystery, a little bit of magic perhaps, revenge on terrible men.... but in reality, I kept waiting for it to get interesting, and it never happened.
Blah. It left such a bad taste in my mouth. And the cover was gorgeous too ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ

Iโm currently re-reading the Grishaverse trilogy in preparation for Shadow & Bone to be released on Netflix later this month. The preview looks good!

I reads about 10 books in march nothing too exciting. Add me to the club to the club of not being happy with the Libby updates. So confused and donโt like the layout. Yes to the Libby confusion. Itโs been a while since I worked in a a library but Iโm sure there are some confused customers out there. They should have eased into the changes rather than all at once. Yes definitely.

I'm still so annoyed. I enjoyed the historical parts more or less, but the contemporary bits were SO boring. And the writing was just bad. angelashly , H got that one for his BOTM, so I get to read it too lol. And my sister got Arsenic and Adobo, I got Libertie. At some point they'll realize I got them on board so I could use them. It was me! And yes, it was terrible. There was no substance at all. Whoever wrote that blurb did a great job selling it, maybe that person should have written the book instead.

My husband has listened to me rant so many times now because of how tricked I felt. I hate when this happens.

Iโm reading One to Watch now and I really like it. Hoping to finish it today.

I stayed up until 1am last night reading 28 Summers and The Cuban Girl's Guide to Tea and Tomorrow. Both are cute and fluffy and definitely the beachy/happy vibes I need right now.
I have Unhoneymooners next up on audio when 28 Summers is done. I thought it would take me a while (15 hours!), but I'm sucked in and only have about 3 hours of listening left.

My disappointment has been Arsenic and Adobo. I feel like a huge outlier on this one since the reviews up are overwhelmingly positive, but I think the police officerโs immediate jump to assume the main character is guilty or, even that there was a crime committed, was really frickin strange (no spoilers! That all is in the blurb!). Honestly, I donโt read many cozy mysteries though, so it could just be a genre thing. Really quick read though, I finished it in an afternoon.
Now Iโm starting the Peter Grant series based on good reviews pretty much everywhere. I laughed in the first paragraph so it is a strong start!

Reading the newest Leigh Bardugo Grishaverse right now, Rule of Wolves. I like it but so far itโs just really making me want to watch the show.
I read 7 books last month, nothing really stood out.

I got a bit burnt out on them and haven't yet read 7 or 8 but I'm planning on it. I just read What Abigail Did That Summer which is a YA featuring the niece of Peter and set in the same universe and now I'm ready to dive back in. Foxglove Summer, the fifth book in the series, was my favorite so far.

Last month I read six books. All from the in death series. Again, I really recommend the series but there are plenty of tw in the books.
Currently Iโm on book 50 which means I have two more to go and Iโll be caught up! I havenโt read the newest one so I am excited for that. Iโm also excited to finally start my books from Christmas.

It took me awhile to get through The Four Winds, by Kristin Hannah. It was harder for me to get into initially than some of her other heavier novels (The Nightingale, The Great Alone). Once I did, I really enjoyed it and thought that the ending really came to an excellent climax with both the plot and Elsa and Loredaโs character arcs.
Iโm hitting Bridgerton novel #2 next. It will be nice to have a HEE after reading about the Dust Bowl and Great Depression.
