clucky, are you in GA? I know of someone from GA that just had norovirus go through their house and it took down the whole daycare, which yikes as you say, because wear a mask and wash your hands.

Oh hi. People here are so clueless. Them: Anyone know why norovirus is going around and taking down whole daycares and offices working in person? Everyone: It ran through our house too! Me: Silently judging and making sure none of them are people I know. No one: Wash your hands and wear a mask. Especially gross since norovirus is primarily spread through poop and vomit particles 🤢

Wtfshouldmynamebe when my friend I've known since childhood went into the hospital, I was so scared, I cannot imagine it being someone closer. Please don’t apologize. It is scary. It is hard when they don’t have energy. It is scary, but I kept reminding myself that they know so much more and have such a much better idea how to manage. Hoping your cousin continues to improve and is able to be home soon.

Now I’m wondering if anyone clicked on the link the lady posted, because it explains that in the first paragraph. They just keep going.

I just helped one of my work besties get his fiancé an appointment on the first day of eligibility in their home state! I totally get why vaccine angels do what they do, what a huge rush of good feelings! My sister and BIL are eligible today and I was able to get them both appointments for this week. It’s my sister’s birthday today and I was determined to gift her a vaccine. But yea, I felt so hyped up after scoring the appointments and I just wanted to keep going and find appointments for everyone.

We had norovirus like a week before lockdown last year. It was horrible. And that was despite all the bleaching I could do. But toddler puke goes everywhere with no warning.

I have lived and am again currently living this life 😪 Sympathy hugs. My 5 year old has had the worst luck and been tested three times. And they only seem to do the brain swabs here so it's a terrible experience. But recently he told me he was ready to be brave and get the vaccine because he doesn't want to give his grandpa coronaveeroosh. And i started crying because zomg.

Also apologies for the tmi. I'm still traumatized.

Goodness blurnette989, that would be an incredibly traumatic parenting experience, I'm sorry.

Yes yes yes. I feel this to my core. I work in retail, and I am so exhausted of having to tell people to wear their masks correctly (my city and my company both have mask mandates). I am just so tired of being the responsible one in this situation. This has been going on for a year now, people, just wear your damn mask right!

I got dose one yesterday! I got Pfizer, no symptoms so far, not even a sore arm. The mass vaccination sites in NY are so well run, I was in and out in 20 minutes including observation time. Where did you go? I’m looking for an appointment now. I’m in queens and thinking citi field

My anxiety has always been linked to deaths, rather than cases. I realize people can have lasting side effects, and have no illusions that covid is just a cold. CT is all sorts of open now and we aren't doing anything different. So I have the same low-running dread punctuated by random bouts of crying that I've had since this all began. Just sharing in case anyone else's anxiety works like mine. number of cases doesn't bother me except number of people ending up with serious health issues remaining. I wonder what out permanently disabled numbers will look like in a year. number of deaths seriously keeps me up at night.

It's pretty normal for norovirus to whip through daycares, because of all the potty training kids, right? Or is them not knowing that what you're judging? Lol I’m not judging the daycare part, because kids. But professionals working in office spreading it is getting major side eye from me.

She threw up within the first fifteen minutes of the party. She got everyone sick. Except no one that was a teacher. 🤣 It even spread to people that were in the family and didn’t attend the party. Norovirus is no joke.

I have had norovirus exactly once (from my 18 month old who had a super mild case and only threw up twice thank god) and at the time I was almost certain I would rather die than continue on in that way.

It was actually a blessing because my H went to Costco and had picked up lysol spray and 2 packs of Clorox wipes because we were out.

All these noro stories are making me glad my superpower is a weird genetic mutation that makes me practically invulnerable to norovirus. And really hope I passed it on to both of my girls...
