I got my 2nd shot of Pfizer yesterday morning and have luckily had no significant side effects so far. I was really tired yesterday afternoon but the toddler's shitty sleep means I'm tired all the time so 🤷♀️ I'm just really, really grateful for science.

I never posted in this thread, but my second dose of Moderna wasn't that bad. I had a pretty sore arm the next day, but no body aches or fever or anything. I took Tylenol, but mostly for a headache, and got a bad headache more than 48 hours later, so unsure if it is vaccine related. I did report it on v safe just in case.
Just glad to be vaccinated!

My second dose was on 2/5. Very sore arm but other than that I was fine. I did have a couple of coworkers report body aches and flu-like symptoms x24 - 48 hrs.

My H and I got out 2nd moderna yesterday at 12pm. Within 6 hours my H was achy and itchy.
It didn’t hit me until this morning - I feel like I’m dealing with morning sickness plus chills. Just drank another Gatorade and it seemed to help.
Both of our arms are sore too - even sooner then after the 1st dose.

MH and I got our first dose of Pfizer Tuesday morning, no effects at all. My mom got her second dose two weeks ago and my dad, after 2 delays, got his second dose this am. For all my city does wrong, I feel like they are doing this very well! My MIL who lives 12 hrs away skipped her appt bc she didn’t want to go out in the snow I wish we lived closer and also wish her city was doing drive thru clinics like ours. She’s not very mobile and I think she would have gone if she knew she didn’t have to leave her car.

I'm only a couple of pages in, so my apologies if this has already been covered...I'm seeing articles about how people who are COVID recovered only need one dose. People who've had COVID and got the vaccination, did you/are you getting both doses? And has anyone heard anything about this? I get my first dose on Thursday, so I was just wondering. Thanks in advance.

Had my second dose of moderna yesterday at 8:30am. Felt like crap by about 5pm. Super achy and bad headache overnight...felt sick all morning today, then around 1:30 it was like a switch flipped and I felt fine! It was so weird! I am so so grateful for science!

Thanks in advance. They are studying it now and it seems promising but they have not recommended a change to protocol on dosing yet. So as of right now you should get both doses. Fauci spoke about it on meet the press this past Sunday if you want to hear it from an actual scientist (lol). The good news is that you will probably have more immunity after the first shot than people who haven’t gotten covid and just had one shot. I wouldn’t change behavior based on it but it’s a little peace of mind.

My appt got cancelled anyway - I guess the link I was sent was for 65+, so I’m glad I’m not taking a vaccine meant for someone else. As an educator, I’m eligible March 1...I’ve waited this long, I can wait a week or two more!

Got my 2nd dose of Moderna yesterday at 11:30 am. Starting around 4 I got slammed with a headache, my arm was sore and I felt a bit achy. Slept HORRIBLE last night due to aches, feeling hot. This morning I still have a headache, achy, fever and nauseous. Aleve has been helping with the fever but I can feel when it starts to wear off. Hopefully by tomorrow I'll be back to normal.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, its helpful to hear even if I am not eligible anytime soon. It seems like based on experiences I have heard, more people seem to have more significant side effects with Moderna. Does that seem accurate or am I making this up?

I'm getting my second Pfizer dose (through work, our county is a mess trying to get them scheduled) tomorrow afternoon - I had only a sore arm after the first one, and hoping the same for the second one!

My sister got her first round 2 days ago and ran a low grade fever for 24 hours and felt more tired than normal. She has RA and takes immunosuppressants. My grandmother (old but no other comorbidities) said it was the same as a flu shot for her—sore arm and a good nights sleep then good as new. They both had the Moderna vaccine.

I wanted to share that I recently got my second shot and now have a super swollen and sore lymph node in my arm pit. I also had body aches and a flu like feeling but the lymph node is actually the worst cause it's super painful. I didn't get the swollen lymph node until almost 48 hours later.

I woke with a crazy swollen lymph node in my armpit yesterday. I got my first shot on Friday afternoon. I'm breastfeeding so I thought maybe I had a clogged duct, but the internet tells me this is normal symptom to show up on the side you got your shot and it typically comes a few days out. So yeah, it was definitely painful.

I did run five miles last night and it felt surprisingly better afterwards. I think the increased blood flow may have helped with the swelling, but 🤷🏻♀️ it's a bit tender to the touch today, but yesterday it just throbbed and hurt all day.

I've enjoyed this thread; I like having people to hear from and compare experience to.
My first dose I had a crazy sore arm, and was super tired the next day. My second dose, I had a medium sore arm, and that was it.

DH had Pfizer. His first shot was just a really sore arm. Second shot was a very sore arm almost immediately and about 12-36 hours after the shot he had a bad headache and muscle aches and fatigue. He took some Motrin and was fine by the next day other than a lingering sore arm.
I’ve had one dose of Moderna and had a very sore arm for a few days and fatigue the next day. My second dose is due 3/19.

I got Pfizer dose 1 on 2/3. Super sore arm, totally fine. I got dose 2 on 2/26. Incredibly sore arm, and felt a little off all day, almost like I was low blood sugar - passed out super early. Woke up feeling fine. My arm soreness was vaguely noticeable through yesterday but seems to have tapered off.

I got dose #1 of Pfizer last Monday. I had a sore arm and felt a little tired, but I'm always tired, so it wasn't a huge difference.
My parents (late 60s and early 70s) and my grandma (100) all got both doses of Moderna and they all only had a sore arm and no other reactions.
