I wanted to share my vaccine experience as I know people are nervous.
I got the Moderna vaccine at 5:15pm on Wednesday. Noticed nothing except a mildly sore arm in the hours immediately following. On Thurs and Fri, the arm soreness was gone. I had a headache, mild fatigue and mild body aches for both Thurs and Fri, with Fri being the worst of both days. I still worked both days and advil worked for the headache. By Saturday, I felt back to normal.
My second shot is in February and I will update about it after that shot.

I've seen mostly positive experiences from anyone who has had it. Usually just hear about a sore arm and feeling a little under the weather the next day or two, same as the flu shot can do. I'm glad you're doing well!

I'm glad you're doing well! It is funny, I always get an awful reaction to the flu shot. Always. Except this year, I had no reaction to it.

MY SIL has received both doses of the Pfizer vaccine. 1st dose, she had nothing but a mildly sore arm.
2nd dose, she said, “14-15 hours out hits you like a bad hangover without any of the fun from the prior night.” She also said some of her colleagues felt fine, others feverish, and she was probably in the middle of the scale.

Yeah, the second shot is supposed to be rough.

I got my first Moderna injection early Saturday morning. I have a lot of allergies, including to medication, so I had to wait 30 minutes instead of the normal 15. I brought my epipen and Benadryl just in case. I was totally fine.
I ended up feeling pretty achey and crappy later that day. I do have an autoimmune disorder though, and achey is kind of of my baseline. So I expected to have an immune response to it. I woke up with a headache the next morning, but it went away quickly. My arm was sore, but no worse than with the flu shot.
My DH got up in the night and had to take some ibuprofen because he was achey and restless, but he was fine the next morning.
Overall, not a big deal and 10/10 would recommend.

I got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on Friday. The day after the first dose my arm was sore the day after. The day after my second dose my arm was sore and I was tired, but nothing else significant.
I am so very relieved to have been able to get these. I know logistics have been a mess in a lot of places but I think my hospital system has done a great job.

I got Moderna on Thursday. Arm and a few joints were achy that night and a bit on Friday. Ibuprofen took care of it though. There were about 150 people vaccinated here and all I have heard about it arm soreness and being a little extra tired. We will see what round 2 brings.

I got Moderna on Friday around noon. My upper arm was very sore that night and for most of the day Saturday, but it was much better by Saturday night. By Sunday morning it was still tender, but almost back to normal. Last night was the first night I could sleep on it and this morning it's completely resolved.

I got Pfizer first dose yesterday. I have arm soreness that is less than what I have with the flu shot, but I’m not yet 24 hours out. I have a headache today but I also got my period yesterday so it’s a crap shoot on which caused it. I’m also taking Advil for cramps related to my period so it will be hard for me to say what is going on.
I scheduled my second shot on a Saturday in case I have issues.

I'm on my way to get the 2nd one now. The first one (Pfizer) i just had a sore arm. I have heard many reports of fever and body aches after the 2nd one.

I got my first Moderna on Wednesday afternoon. Started feeling slightly sore arm that evening. Arm was quite sore on Thursday, and mostly went away by Friday.
I was nauseous and tired, but that’s been my state for 6+ weeks, so hard to tell if any of that is due to the vaccine.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a bit nervous about the second dose. I’m already feeling so shitty, I don’t know how I will handle feeling even worse. But hopefully by 15 weeks I will be feeling better overall before I get it?

The most common symptoms amongst my coworkers were headache and sore arm. Not much more than that with the first dose.

MH only complained about a sore arm, similarly to that of the flu shot. He gets his second dose next week.

I got the first dose of the Moderna vaccine on Christmas Eve. The first day was just mild arm soreness, then the next two days it hurt worse. I get the 2nd dose next Thursday.

I had my first dose of the Moderna vaccine on January 5. I had soreness in my upper arm x 2 days. No headache, fatigue or malaise. I go back on Feb 2 for the second dose.

I had my first dose of Pfizer on 12/31. No side effects other than a mildly sore arm. I get my second dose on 1/21. MH has had both doses of Pfizer and didn’t have any side effects other than a sore arm and some fatigue.

I had my first dose of Pfizer in December - had a mildly sore arm with no other issues. My second dose was on this past Saturday morning. I felt fine all day but woke up in the middle of the night with a fever of 101 and body aches. Ibuprofen helped get the fever down but the body aches stuck around until about noon on Sunday. I felt completely normal starting Sunday evening.
Sucky 12 hours, but nothing scary. Many of my colleagues reported similar stories. The worst hit felt ill for 48 hours max. Least affected folks only had fatigue and a sore arm.

Entirey accurate but put a fever on the hangover. The second dose took me down for 24 hours. The first I just had a sore arm.

I had Moderna 2 weeks ago and just a moderately sore arm for 2 days, nothing else. Round 2 is in 2 weeks so I’m mentally preparing to not feel great following that one.
Of my 4 friends who have gotten dose 2 (Pfizer) so far, 3:4 have had low grade fever, body aches, headache and fatigue. I don’t personally know anyone else yet who’s gotten dose 2 of Moderna since it was released later and has a different dosing schedule (4 weeks in between doses as opposed to 3 weeks with Pfizer)

The most common symptoms amongst my coworkers were headache and sore arm. Not much more than that with the first dose. My mom got her first shot this morning and those were her only complaints. MH goes Thursday. I won't get mine for a while and I know we have a ways to go with all of this, but I am starting to feel a tiny bit of hope.

I get my 1st dose tomorrow.

My mom gets her second dose of Pfizer on Thursday. Her first dose she only had a sore arm.
MH's aunt got her second Pfizer last week. She was pretty tired for about a day after but then was back to feeling normal.
A nurse friend had a bit more milder symptoms after her second dose- fever, chills, joint pain. She was back to feeling better two days after.
A few other people I know had just a sore arm the first dose but a range of mild symptoms with the second which is expected with the second dose.

First dose I had a sore arm for 2 days (Sat AM got dose, sore arm until I woke up Monday morning fine) Second dose I had an insanely sore arm for two days- same as first but less soreness by Sunday evening. I also had some fatigue. I have some auto-immune shit happening (have an RA appt in a few weeks) and my default is muscle aches and fatigue, but this was extra intense. I took two naps instead of one each day.
Monday morning back to work feeling fine.
DH had zero symptoms after first dose and he had a slight headache the evening of the second dose. That’s all.
