My arm is killing me today but that's been my only symptom. Same! MH and I are 25 hours post 2nd dose of Moderna and feeling normal besides a sore arm.

Has anyone had issues with Hives? My coworker broke out in hives about 36 hours after her 2nd Pfizer shot. They kept showing up at night. She finally went to the allergist about 2 weeks later and they have her some meds including steroids and it seemed to improve. A week later she woke up with them. That night she even had swelling of her face causing her to go to the ER.

cattail how are you doing? Have any of your long covid symptoms abated since being vaccinated? Thanks for checking in. I would say I am about 60% of who I was pre-covid. My voice is getting stronger, still battling nerve issues in my leg and fatigue.if I was being honest I would say that I am afraid that Covid has gotten the best of me. I am doing all I can to stay out of the dark hole and it's exhausting. I’m glad you’re 60% better. I’m not a long hauler, but I am disabled, and for years I was misdiagnosed as a psychiatric patient. Many of the common long hauler symptoms are symptoms that I have from other dx. If you ever need someone to listen, PM me. I know what it’s like to be trying to stay out of a dark hole, to be looking at dx with no treatment, having to rebuild my entire life around my altered abilities, and having no clue what the future holds. I really, truly hope that you recover completely. But in the meantime, please reach out to ppl who understand - whether it’s me or someone else.

I’m almost 24 hours out from my second Pfizer and woke up with a slight headache but not too bad. I’m hoping it stays this way. Even so, I took the excuse to take a sick day from work. We’re going to my parents house for the weekend, where I also plan to use it as an excuse to nap and go to bed early with no kid duties. This is my chance, I cannot let it go to waste... 😂 I was just gonna ask you how it went! So your dinner was okay? Yes, it was great to get out! I’ve had a few off and on headaches, but nothing a couple of ibuprofen can’t cure. I’m so relieved!

Sure! Since endo is inflammatory and vaccines trigger such a big response in your body, it causes inflammation to at least some degree. So if your body is already “primed” for inflammation by something like endo, it can cause a flare up. It’s not a definite thing though- I have stage 1 endo and didn’t notice any effects whatsoever. Do you think this happens with other Auto immune problems? Like Celiac’s? My good friend is concerned about that. It may cause a disease flare up, but the general advice is that covid prevention is worth it the risk. Not specific medical advice, just based on what I’ve heard from my fellow volunteers and studies I’ve read.

So it's been a little over a week since my 1st Pfizer shot. I still have a red bump where I got it. Anyone else have this?

I got a red welt a week after my first moderna. Ice packs and hydrocortisone cream helped, it disappeared and reappeared (with an achey/hot/itchy feeling to let me know it was there) for about a week until it was finally gone. I had it again after the second dose but not as bad.

gimmeaQ, i was more nervous about my 2nd shot than my first. I had next to nothing for symptoms after my 2nd shot. Stay hydrated; I hear that helps.

I had my first Pfizer on Saturday and have had some facial numbness since. There’s no swelling or paralysis but I’m still annoyed and waiting for more follow up regarding when it’ll go away and if I’m supposed to get my second dose.

I’m in the waiting area for my second shot. My first just had some arm pain (full, not much more than a flu shot). Hoping this one is the same 🤞🏻
I haven’t read but one of the nurses here said she tells people to get it in their dominant arm because you’ll naturally move it more, and everyone is pushing extra water.
I’m so happy today though. Everyone here is very positive. Here’s hoping this helps put things behind us as soon as possible.

I accidentally got it in my dominant arm (had a brain fart last minute) & still had a really sore arm but only lasted a few days.

I still have sensation so I’m not completely numb and can move, but it’s definitely there and flares up in other places at random. I had some numbness on my tongue yesterday and was a little scared. I mostly feel sad because some of the people I’m close with don’t want the vax, so I don’t want to say anything because I know what they’ll be thinking.

Question-have there been any studies shared about needing vaccine booster at any point? Not sure if I missed anything. My second shot was end of February, so I’ve just been thinking about it.

kayc, i am pretty sure this is going to become just like the flu shot; it will be needed yearly. I am not sure if they know how long it lasts?? I haven't heard. Basically I am no help.

I just got my second Moderna. I forgot to hydrate so I chugged a bottle of water on the way and plan to drink a lot the rest of the day and hopefully it’s not too bad. I didn’t schedule anything for tomorrow so I can just sleep it off if I need to.
