DH had zero symptoms after his first Pfizer shot. He just got his 2nd tonight. We shall see.

Moderna 2 last evening. I did not sleep well last night and am generally headache/body achy/yucky/tired with a very sore arm today. Hopefully this is the worst of it. Tylenol seems to be keeping everything but the arm pain at a dull roar.
Update: I ended up taking the day off and went to bed. The aches and chills did me in.
Update 2: 4 hours later it all went away, except for the sore arm. Like I got out of bed, did some laundry, cleaned up the house, etc. like the afternoon just never happened. so weird.

Pfizer for me.
Dose 1 - mild pain in my arm, a week later soreness in my armpit on the same arm (I suspect swollen lymph nodes)
Dose 2 - 12hrs post shot symptoms hit fast achy, fever (100-101) even with Tylenol that would get better and worse in waves for about 24 hours, aches went away when my fever broke. My arm has a red raised bump and is still tender 48hrs post shot but I’ve been icing it so the swelling has gone down.

For the few J&J-ers on here, I’m 3 weeks out from my shot and just got lab results back that I had for a routine physical. My platelets were normal, so my anxiety over the clotting concern has completely gone.

I had my J+J shot on Tuesday. I had it just about 6 weeks after my first moderna shot, so I don’t know if that skewed my experience… but it’s been rough. I had it in the afternoon, it hurt going in badly, but no arm pain after (nice change from the moderna!!) and about 7 pm I started feeling off and had chills. Checked my temp, and I was at 101. Things went down hill from there. I had terrible whole body shaking (severe chills I guess you’d call it?) and a headache (it made my eyes hurt too), and by midnight my fever was over 103 and vomiting started. It was awful. By morning my fever has broken and I was feeling better, but after waking the fever quickly came back with the headaches, nausea, and body aches. The fever was gone yesterday evening. I have been able to sit up more today and hold done toast, but still feel blah and am having nausea and GI issues and if I stand too long feel sick. Hoping to wake up good as new tomorrow!

People who got enlarged lymph nodes after their vaccine - my sister sent me an interesting article (from fox, so take it with a grain of salt) that says swollen lymph nodes were more common among people who already had the virus. I had covid back in July, and I had at least one swollen lymph node after my vaccine. I wonder how many people who had swollen nodes here also had the virus at some point?

MH and I had super swollen lymph nodes in the left side of our necks after the first shot - out 2nd is tomorrow so we’ll see how that goes. We think we had it super early, like end of February 2020. MH had it first and then it went thorough all 3 kids+me. He was commuting daily into Manhattan, so totally plausible.

I’m almost 24 hours out from my second Pfizer and woke up with a slight headache but not too bad. I’m hoping it stays this way. Even so, I took the excuse to take a sick day from work. We’re going to my parents house for the weekend, where I also plan to use it as an excuse to nap and go to bed early with no kid duties.
This is my chance, I cannot let it go to waste... 😂

I'm about 16 hours post 2nd pfizer shot. Feeling ok but a sore arm. Couldn't sleep though so that sucked.

Shows how much I have been paying attention lately, I didn't even know they were doing the J+J again.

I got my 2nd Moderna yesterday morning. Had a rough evening with fatigue, joint pain, and chills, but Tylenol helped. I didn’t sleep well due to body aches and night sweats, but I’m feeling much better today, just a little tired.

Interesting...yeah the article did say swollen lymph nodes could happen to people who never had Covid, too...just the incidence of swollen lymph nodes was higher in people who had it. idk, lol.

I had swollen lymph nodes and I don't think I had the virus. I had antibody testing back in December and was negative. No one else in my family including DH had swollen lymph nodes.

I had my second dose last week and was 100% fine. H had his on Thursday and he has been an absolute disaster since about 8pm Thursday night- fever, chills, aches, headache, he slept off and on almost all day yesterday. I feel so bad for him. I'm at work today and I really hope he is feeling better.

cattail how are you doing? Have any of your long covid symptoms abated since being vaccinated? Thanks for checking in. I would say I am about 60% of who I was pre-covid. My voice is getting stronger, still battling nerve issues in my leg and fatigue.if I was being honest I would say that I am afraid that Covid has gotten the best of me. I am doing all I can to stay out of the dark hole and it's exhausting.

cattail I hope that things continue to improve with time and that as more is learned about long covid some treatments at least become available. The physical toll of feeling bad for so long and the mental toll of not knowing when or if it will get better is a lot. I’m sorry you’re still struggling so much.

cattail I am so sorry. I am glad that some things are improving slightly but of course not enough. I feel awful for you that you have to be suffering so much. So unfair.
