30 minute hip hop ride with Tunde 20 minute Pilates with Emma 20 minute glutes and legs strength with Andy 20 minute Post Malone yoga flow with Chelsea
I did the ride in the morning and straight up bonked. I have no idea why but it felt like my blood sugar just crashed the last 10 minutes. I had to have MH bring me a banana and then took a break until nap time to finish the rest.
The yoga was a good workout/stretch but the class was not enjoyable. So many facts not enough music.
I can’t believe January is over!

Since it’s the last day of January I decided to go back and look at my goals.
I completed some form of exercise everyday except 1. I did 12 upper body workouts. Most were 5 min add-ons but but I needed to start somewhere. We decided to buy the basic Tread from Peloton when it comes available for purchase.
I didn’t commit to a race yet or try a couple new plant based recipes as I hoped to do. I’ve researched some but didn’t follow through. Maybe I can do that tonight yet so I can complete my goals for the month!
How did everyone else’s first month of 2021 go?

I completed the January calendar from the Hardcore on the Floor FB group today! Not the "entire" thing since I didn't start til January 4, but that's still pretty damn good for me. On some days I maybe only did 2 of the 3 workouts so that I could get a ride in as well, but I'm super proud of all the strength and core workouts I've gotten in this month. I can really feel the difference in my abs and glutes. Can't wait for next month!
Exercise today was a 3 mile walk in the snow, 30 min of 90s yoga with Denis, then 10 more min of restorative yoga with Denis.
Food- B - bagel sandwich L - leftover turkey sub & waffle fries from last night D - buffalo chicken pizza S - probably Yasso bar. might have a hard seltzer later too.
Kind of a bread heavy day but the dough for the bagels and the pizza is the Skinnytaste Greek yogurt dough, so its not too bad calorie wise at least.

Hello! I did yesterday’s 60 minute bootcamp and holy moly it was hard! I got 2.9 miles in and I feel good now! I also did a ten minute full body stretch with Ben and I kid you not one of his quotes was “self love is never selfish.” I lol’d especially after today’s convo.
I’m really happy with my January. I didn’t have any sugary treats, I tracked (not with a specific calorie goal in mind, but just to keep myself accountable), I worked out for at least thirty minutes a day and was consistent with strength as well.
All in all a great month!

5 minute warmup ride with Hannah F 20 minute pop ride with Hannah C 20 minute low impact with Wilpers most recent Flash 15 with Jess Sims
Later in the afternoon H and I were able to find sufficient space in the living room to set up two mats and did a 45 minute slow yoga flow class with Ross. That was fun.

Ran an easy four miles. Then did a ten minute core. Dreading Monday at work. But, we are going to book a spring break trip which is pretty exciting.

45 min Intervals and Arms with Ally Love— this is a really good endurance ride which is what I needed today. The pushes are all steady cadence and the arms are the same exercises repeated each time. Was a good slow burn.
Will try to add on some core and stretch later!

budders , did you order running-specific masks? I’ve been considering a UA mask, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet bc they’re like $30. But warm weather is around the corner and the cotton isn’t going to be bearable to much longer. I considered the UA one, but the price scared me away. coconutbacon recommended these to me, and I got two with shipping for the same price as a UA mask. www.bocogear.com/product/performance-x-mask-run/

Yesterday was good food-wise and I was able to squeeze in 30 min bike ride. This morning I did 20 min hip hop HIIT cardio w/ Rebecca K, 20 min full body strength w/ Chase & 10 min core w/ Emma. I’ve got hard boiled eggs prepped for breakfasts, salads prepped for lunches, yogurt/fruit/nuts/cheese sticks planned for snacks, and dinners are still up in the air since my H is working nights all week.
My goals in January were: -Workout 3-4x/week — I averaged 5x/week overall! -Rein in my eating/snacking — did track for part of the month but didn’t maintain it, but I did really decrease the mindless snacking & I’m making decent choices so I’m good with it -Check in here regularly to keep myself accountable - so far so good! -Take my vitamins regularly — improved, although I still miss them a lot on the weekends -Increase my water intake — my biggest struggle & will be a big focus for February

Oof, what a weekend. This time I was running a meet, so Friday was spent setting up for Saturday. I wish I had charged my FitBit for yesterday, my steps had to be ridiculous. I was very sore and tired from it, but my planned Saturday workout wasn't bad (other than fucking pull ups) and I did a couple things from Friday that I missed. I just shortened how far I pulled to bands to they were easier so it was more recovery work.
I feel a ton better after doing that.

Finished Yoga with Adriene‘s Breath series today. I’m sad it’s over. I love her January series. I’m going to do her February calendar in conjunction with running and Liift4 next month.

keg curious how much of the hardCORE calendar you are planning to do? I just built my week using a good chunk of the workouts and suggestions and then made some modifications or substitutions. It looks like a lot but it also looks doable. I think.

Spin and strength done. Food is still not awesome. jorkzy I’m not strictly vegetarian but we usually skip meat. Right now I usually have granola bars or pop tarts because I love sweets. I usually have veggies, almonds, and Greek yogurt as my lunch but maybe I need to shift things around. Gotcha. I usually say to aim for 2-3 food groups for snacks and 3-4 food groups for meals. Food groups being meat/protein, dairy, grains, fruit/veg. My snacks are usually a combo of grain and protein +\- fruit or veg. At work it’s usually things like: -veggies and crackers with hummus - berries and Greek yogurt, sometimes with granola - cheese and fruit - pb toast - nuts and Fresh or dried fruit For me, I don’t find smoothies to be satisfying or filling so they’re not my go-to but I know lots of people like them and they’re pretty easy to make. For me, what you described as lunch would be more of a snack. But if it’s satisfying and filling for you then koko. ETA for meat eaters, deli meat with cheese and pickles is a nice change for a snack too.

We are right on the cusp up here of either a major storm or a couple inches. I feel like that’s how every predicted storm goes upstate, but I am curious to see how much we really get. A couple of days ago they were saying 6 inches in the city, and I was very 🤷♀️but then I was listening to the radio this morning and they said we should expect 14-19 inches plus intense wind gusts. I would not mind if they were wrong and it’s a bust! This was us last Monday. I ended up making a big pot of chicken noodle soup.

The granola and pop tart is fine, but like jorkzy was saying- you should add another group with it. Either some fruit or Greek yogurt (eggs probably wouldn't go well with those, but maybe if it works for you?).

It looks like a lot but it also looks doable. I think. I'm planning to do most of it. My rest day is Wednesday which aligns well with the calendar so I'll probably stick to it closely but go a little lighter on the days before my tempo & long runs. I say all of this now but may back off a bit when my mileage picks up. 😆 I was able to stick to the calendar in the fall but my mileage was pretty low compared to what this spring will look like.

Has anyone tried Hungryroot delivery? I’m just wondering if it’s worth it. They have a promo where I can do 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 5-6 dinners, and a bunch of snacks for like $77. But if anyone knows the food tastes like crap, I don’t want to do it. I don’t like wasting food.

I am starting 21 day fix today.
Also my dd has been having growing pains (she is 10) and so I told her we could find some Yoga to help stretch. Anyone have any favorites I can easily pull on youtube or amazon for her?

Quick check in, much to do today with my mom's surgery, I'm solo managing the house. I took today and tomorrow off, I just can't work and get DS to school (he started back hybrid this week) and maintain this house all at the same time. I don't know how single parents with no help do this, seriously.

It stays put really well and hasn't been too hot in warm weather. Cool, thank you!

Anyone have any favorites I can easily pull on youtube or amazon for her? Youtube has Cosmic Kids yoga which might be a bit on the young side for her. My DD is almost 10 and doesn’t mind them, but also likes Yoga with Adriene too.

My masks came today and of course we're mid snowstorm, so I probably won't get to use them until Wednesday, but I'll let you know how they go!
