CurlieWhirlie MH jokes that when he needs to lose a few pounds he’ll just skip lunch a couple of days. And the stupid thing is that he’s right. It’s so easy for him to lose weight it is crazy. Men. Sounds like that dad’s weight loss might not have been such a good thing though. That’s a crazy output for that length of ride, but I have a male friend who has similar numbers. Though my friend is an adventure sport type who is a bigger guy so I think that’s why. I ignore his numbers though bc they’re so insane. I could never. My h hasn’t even been dieting just working out more and his ring is now to big 😡😡

Good morning. The kids gave me their cold so I woke up feeling crummy. I did a very slow 3 miles - walk/jog. It was enough to bring me to 90 miles for month and to finish my virtual running challenge, so I’ll get that medal soon! I’m planning on taking it easy for the rest of today and hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow

Anyone meal plan yet? I have some chicken breasts to bake for lunches but drawing a blank for dinners DD is going back to tennis this week so I need some easy things. I'll be relying on the crockpot a lot. So far I have... *chicken flautas, refried beans, cinnamon spiced sweet potatoes *skinny taste turkey pumpkin chili (crockpot) *chicken and sausage Cajun stew *chili for frito pies and baked sweet potatoes

I just watched the five stages of peloton video and it was hilarious.
So... who drew tats on their face for the post Malone ride?

I ended up taking yesterday completely off. I was so sore from lifting on Wednesday that I am nervous for my 10 mile run today. But hopefully it goes ok. We got some horrible news at work yesterday and I have been dealing with that. I am emotional spent. I am hoping to get my run in and lift tonight. I ate like absolutely crap yesterday and woke up swollen and puffy. Sending you love, friend ❤️

Also, DD2 is so basic. I was having avocado toast and eggs and she insisted I make her some too. Don't mind the eggs being a weird color, my kids are obsessed with making their eggs funny colors.

I felt the need to take it easy today so instead of doing the run I usually do while DD is at gymnastics, I walked instead for 35 minutes. It felt good! I’ll do 5 min core later and that’s it.

I did the tighter together workout that I skipped on Monday and finally felt like I got in a good workout this week. My strength was back to normal which is nice.
I’m terms of meal planning, I’m roasting a turkey today and plan to make noodle soup with leftovers tomorrow. That’s about as far as I’ve gotten though. I’m just so sick of cooking. Non-stop cooking.

She is so cute, cnf! My kids love when I make things funky colors, too. I hadn't thought of scrambled eggs, I should try that.

I meal planned... - roasted spaghetti squash with red sauce and cannelini beans - sesame tempeh with rice and broccoli x2 - sweet potato quinoa chili x2 - scrambled eggs and home fries - frozen pizza (my weakness)
I eat the same thing for lunch daily so I’m good there. I need to get better about healthy snacks.

Today was the last episode of 30 min Jess King Experience for the season. I love those rides so much. I’ll probably go back and do a few of the earlier ones that I haven’t done. So much fun. Then a 10 min cool down with Leanne.

Add me to the list of people who were feeling off yesterday. I did meditations and full body stretches in the AM and PM and it felt really good. I especially liked the Matty one from 1/28. My hips felt very happy afterwards.
Last night I was scrolling back through the Artist Series and saw a few I wanted to try. I was torn between Billie Eilish and Billy Joel but ended up going with Eilish. It was a good playlist but I wasn’t feeling it for running. Maybe it would have worked better for a cool down or a walk.
5 min warmup with Adrian 30 min Billie Eilish run with Becs 5 min lower body stretch with Ben

Happy Saturday aka long run day! My March half was semi-officially postponed this week but I decided to do my 10 miler anyway because I felt mentally prepared for it. It went great! I am feeling so strong these days, mile 9 was my fastest one of the entire run.
10 minute long run warm up with Becs 20 minute soul fun run with Rebecca 30 minute British pop with Becs 30 minute British hip hop with Jess Sims 20 minute British rock with Becs (my Century run!!) 10 minute post run stretch with Wilpers
I was excited to do my Century run today; unfortunately I don’t have a treadmill or another way to do live runs right now but it still felt very satisfying. Now I plan to be gloriously lazy all afternoon.

Happy Saturday!
We were up and out this morning for a park meetup with a preschool friend of DS2. It's chilly but lovely and sunny here today, so the boys played at the park for an hour and a half and then we took a leisurely walk into town to get a snack at the cafe before walking our friend home.
Once home, 30 minute gentle flow yoga class with Aditi 30 minute bodyweight bike bootcamp with Cody 20 minute core strength with Andy 5 minute lower and 5 minute upper body stretches with Ben
And I just had a bowl of Lucky Charms for an afternoon snack, don't tell my kids! :-P

I’m feeling super lazy today. 45 minutes on the bike, and not much else. Maybe I will motivate for some yoga later.
I have mushrooms and chard so I’m making a big vegan lasagna with it using Explore green lentil noodles and homemade cashew ricotta.

CurlieWhirlie my H just has to THINK about running and he loses 10lbs. And then he complains about his clothes not fitting right because he’s too skinny 🙄 Anyways, I’m looking forward to my impending sainthood for not murdering him after those kind of comments. 30 min Upper Body Bootcamp with Tunde for me today, may try to squeeze in some core or yoga after the kids are asleep!

1.5 mile xc ski, snow was perfectly soft for a gentle glide 20 EDM ride, 5 min cool down & 5 min stretch CurlieWhirlie it’s been 3 years this month that I recommitted to a fitness routine. I had just returned from an all inclusive Mexico trip and didn’t like how I looked in pictures. I was determined to get it looking great when I hit 40. I’m more fit and toned now but have not seen any major weight changes either but I feel so much better knowing I’m actively taking steps to be my best self!

I switched to a bike bootcamp today instead of the Saturday 60 because I’m having what I think to be some new low key plantar fasciitis. Sad to miss it but it was the smart choice.
5 minute warm up ride with Hannah F 45 minute bike bootcamp with Jess Flash 15 with Jess 10 minute core with Ben Death.
I PR’d in the bootcamp because a friend challenged me to beat her output. This was my first time doing a flash 15 and it didn’t disappoint. At first I thought it was a little tame but that shit got out of hand quickly.

I did that Frank's vineyard race ride this morning and went all out. I came in 4/260 women and I was excited. Big PR too so that was exciting. Then we took the kids skating down the river which was fun too.
Lemony beans and shrimp with toast for supper and damn, it was good!
