How many times do you guys rip out your work and re-do? Sincerely me, from three rows back fixing a yarn tacking fuck up in the simple part. Tell me I’m not alone. You are definitely not alone. But I also did a ribbed tubular cast on last night while distracted and my stitch rearrangement was a little off. I'm kind of like, hm, that's a unique detail and I don't it. I think I'll leave it @zweber you are prolific! I am a rather slow knitter. I have speed envy.

Here’s Archie with my first two weeks of squares. I kinda wish I’d done it corner to corner instead of rows, but it is what it is.

I finished my first real project. I crocheted a beanie. This fuzzy yarn is a real bitch but it also covers up mistakes. So. Anyway. Here it is. (Also posted on cd board projects post, sorry if you have to see it twice. I’m proud.)

I'm experimenting with crocheting a scarf with pockets. I'm using some random cream that I have but I told my mom to pick out some yarn she likes because she wants one too.

I got two new kits in the mail this week and I finally picked one up and started embroidering last night! I’ve done three roses so far, and that’s a new stitch for me.

Tapa is being stupid so IG post it is. I made a baby outfit and crocheted a baby blanket as a gift. The blanket was the project I kept hinting at but not posting because it was a present and didn't want to spoil the surprise. 🤣 http://instagram.com/p/CKUTud2lLB4

I made a turtle. My gift to a friend is some books and stuffed toys (mix of bought and made) and some homemade hats and scratch mittens. One of the books is “The Box Turtle”

It's a shawl, found here: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/berry-vanillaNeither the written instructions nor the chart include the edge stitches and my brain is very scrambled trying to figure it out.

joey, here's the start of it: Edge stitches are not charted, and are worked as follows: Right side: K2, kyok, work chart to last three stitches, kyok, k2 Wrong side: K2, yo, p3, work chart to last 5 stitches, p3, yo, k2 Instructions: Set up rows: Cast on 8 stitches Row 1: k2, kyok, k2, kyok, k2 (12 stitches) Row 2: k2, p to last 2 stitches, k2 (12 stitches) Chart A - Written instructions: (Work Chart A three times, then work rows 1-6 once more) Row 1 (RS): *1/1 LPC, p2, 1/1 RPC ; work from *. Row 2 (WS): *K, p, k2, p, k ; work from *. Row 3: 1/1 RPC, p2, *1/1 LPC, 1/1 RPC, p2 ; work from *, 1/1 LPC. Row 4: P, k, *k3, p2, k ; work from *, k3, p. Row 5: P2, *1/1 LC, p4 ; work from *, 1/1 LC, p2. Row 6: K2, p2, *k4, p2 ; work from *, k2.

joey, rewriting the pattern to include the edge stitches might be the way to go. The charts included are even more confusing, so written will be my chosen path. 😂 My brain is mush after so much time at home!

bobyn ... Is that a knitting chart or an IQ test outtake? I find written the way to go with almost everything that's one color. It’s funny because I’m actually working off a chart right now and it makes sense in my mind. But this new one has me 🤯 and I can’t make heads or tails of it.

I'm not sure if this is where to post this but I think I want to buy a sewing machine. My main goal is hemming since I'm very short and all clothes are too long. Any recommendations for a beginner sewing machine machine?

Any recommendations for a beginner sewing machine machine? The base model singer should work well for you. I’ve had mine for 10 years and the machine is going strong. It was around $100 at the time. The only thing I don’t care for is the bobbin threader on mine requires I go super slow or it makes the thread too loose on the bobbin to work. It’s mainly because I’m impatient, same reason I have a yarn roller 😂
