I am sooo late to this so I hope it’s ok to post! (Also don’t mind me going through and LTing stuff from December lol) I cross stitch and have a couple of projects going right now. The biggest is called Epic Storybook Princesses from CloudsFactory. Eventually it will look like this (though I am doing mine in three separate pieces/columns to make it easier to manage): Ive done the full outline of the left column, and finished Snow White. I’m almost done with Cinderella, just Anastasia and Drizella to go:

I made a hooded scarf with pockets for my mom two weeks ago and did another for my grandma this week. I ran out of yarn on the second one and couldn't find another skein anywhere so I just ripped off the hood. I'll put it in the mail sometime in the next few days. I need another project though. Anybody crochet anything cool lately?

I'm not sure if this is where to post this but I think I want to buy a sewing machine. My main goal is hemming since I'm very short and all clothes are too long. Any recommendations for a beginner sewing machine machine? i have a brand new Brother sewing machine that is like supposedly really really good. i opened it once and then got scared and shoved it right back in the box. please let me send it to you if anyone else has a serviceable machine lmk! I’m really wanting to sew!

I saw a similar pattern online, but it was for a 6 inch ring, so I had to adapt it to ab10 inch ring. First time I created a pattern directly onto the fabric.

I finished Cinderella! Going to work on other projected for a few days to give the fabric a break, then on to Sleeping Beauty. (Eleven more to go...)

I didn’t realize this was a general projects thread. I put my most recent sewing win in the randoms thread but here are some other things I made last month. This quilt top is for my SIL. I just decided on the backing color and ordered that today so hopefully I can start quilting it next weekend. And these potholders I made with this cute sushi fabric I found.

I got a new sewing machine and a Joann's gift card for Christmas, so I've been working on this Christmas quilt ever since: I'm trying to decide on the outer border

@zweber, the sewing machine arrived today. I'm excited. I wish you would let me pay you for shipping costs.

My BMB friend is opening her shop. The pics she has posted on FB are amazing. She definitely makes me want to start crafting again.

I finally got to add my light blue to my temperature blanket! We have some days in the 20s this week! I'll post an update pic when I get today's done. Maybe with that cute yarn thief.

Please don’t cast me out, but has anyone used one of those knitting machines? Any insight would be helpful. I’ve never gotten the hang of knitting, no matter how hard I try. I love to crochet, but being able to do it long enough to make anything has my wrists screaming.

Seeing as I can only finger knit and I only have the 1 set. Knitting machines are all over Amazon and appear to be the same, but I know nothing about them. Would like to be able to make more than a long strand of knitted yarn.

I've read that those are more comfortable for people with arthritis or carpal tunnel. www.amazon.com/Knitters-Pride-Cubics-Platina-Interchangeable/dp/B00OI16YS4/?&tag=kng07-20

Can I also move in with you so you can teach me to successfully knit? Even a potholder for a play kitchen would be larger than anything I’ve been successful in knitting.

We do have a pull-out sofa bed, but I think it'd be kind of cramped 😂 Any idea of what you'd like to start with? My first project was a loooooong skinny scarf because I didn't know how to end it. Scarves are great places to start because of the repetition and short rows.

A friend got one of those long ones you're supposed to be able to do sweaters/blankets on; we found it kinda fiddly. Seemed like there was a lot of manual manipulation to do anything other than the basic stitch and we got bored with it. Haven't tried one of the round ones that make hats - those look like fun.

I made a hat for my kid. I feel much more proud of this work. My stitch counts were even and actually matched up at the end. Woohoo! Hope it fits her head!

I love this thread! It's giving me motivation to work on my crochet bear for DS. I made one for both of my girls, so I want to make him one too, but haven't had the drive to get much done on it.
