One of the twins figured out how to really zip on the balance bike today so our easy morning walk turning into a brisk jog as I tried to keep the fast and slow babies with minimal distance between them. Can I still call her a baby when she rides a bike faster than the 5yo?

I’m the proud new owner of a peloton bike! I’m so excited! I did a 20 minute Matt W run this morning before leaving for work and a 20 minute intro to cycling bike workout with Alex this evening.

I did Jess Sims' 30 minute bike bootcamp and it was hard but felt good! I felt rushed because I only had a short workout window, I really prefer when I have a good hour to work out. That is something I never thought I would say about myself. Exciting, chrispy1122, did you get the new bike or the classic? abs that is a true accomplishment, nice.

Oh before I forget--can I hear from anyone who has put together a Peloton setup ad hoc... Like with a sunny/other bike and such? I feel I should at least investigate that first. One of my friends said something like "what is you buy this expensive bike and they close?" Which I don't think is a big possibility, but my anxiety latched onto it lol I have a Sunny Peloton hack. I have loved it and it's been a great cost effective substitute. I'm upgrading to a friend's used Peloton bike when she gets the new fancy one, but I've ridden for 13 months now very consistently and I know I love it and I'm sure I'll be more into it with access to all of the features. Of course never say never, but I don't worry too much about the company closing, they seem to be stronger than ever now in the pandemic and I don't see that changing in the next several years. eta: I hacked almost exactly the same way as MelanieCarmichael.

CurlieWhirlie I went with the new one. My SIL is getting one too and we talked each other into getting the new one. I like how it syncs with my Apple Watch.

I am finishing September in a good place. I've been able to walk more at work recently, and it's been such a good reset in the midst of all of the insanity. Today I walked 30 minutes and then did a Peloton ride for 15 minutes before my kids totally melted down and I had to stop.
The scale also dropped another .2, so I'm at a new low. And NSV, I'm loving how confident and comfortable I am in my work clothes this year. My dress pants were always so tight and uncomfortable last fall, and I really noticed today how I don't feel as restricted and I'm able to dress more the way I always wanted to.

Rusty Red it doesn’t have to be like this 💔 It kind of reads like you’re beating yourself up for not connecting with a therapist yet. It’s a hard thing to bite the bullet and do. It doesn’t make you a terrible person for having put it off. Can I ask - what would you do for movement if there was no weight loss associated with it? What would your day look like if food and exercise didn’t dominate every minute?

Which, weight loss isn't happening anyway. LOL If I was in a comfortable place with my body mentally, I'm not sure how much would change, if I would exercise less or what.

My passion for running is long gone. I would like to have it back, but I'm still running anyway, it's what I know.

I guess I should have said weight management. Or weight control.
