Super slow moving morning in my house. I actually didn't get to workout until late enough that I planned to hop into Robin's live 10:30 intervals run. Then peloton had a glitch on their end, it didn't work, and they swapped it for an encore run to start late. It counted the busted run that didn't happen towards my run count too, which is super annoying since I didn't run it. And I'm so close to my century run and this one doesn't really count. I was super annoyed and did a Wilpers interval run instead. Wrapped up with a 15 minute upper body strength with Robin and some stretching.
Protein bar Peach Protein shake Left over white chicken chili Dinner is a 🤷🏻♀️ right now

cnf - you should be able to delete the run from your history. I know for sure you can if you have an Apple, at least. You’ve got this calendula! I’ll be cheering you on from here!

I did a 30 minute outdoor peloton run with Rebecca with the jogging stroller. I took it very easy, got 2.75 miles. I’m on the mend but still not 100%. Hoping to be able to get back to my usual routine sometime this week.

Jumping back in here. I decided to go forward with the virtual marathon on Sunday after all. I've done all the training, my body is ready, and although its totally insane to run my first marathon completely alone the weekend I move, its now or never. I'd be pretty disappointed if I didn't go for it. So. I'm tapering this week. 6 miles yesterday, 3 this morning, 2 tomorrow, rest Thursday/Fri, 2 mi shakeout run on Saturday and the big 26.2 on Sunday. I picked a 13.1 mile loop that starts/ends at my new place, and I'll do it twice. I'll carry my fuel belt with 24 ounces of Tailwind with me, plus water/snacks/bathroom at the house halfway, and I'll refill the belt then too. I'm accepting song suggestions for a pumped up playlist, any tips from experienced marathoners, and if anyone wants to be my friend on Garmin I'd love to have some new connections to follow along virtually and cheer on (send me a PM). Yes, girl! Wear something you'll feel a little chilly in at first, because you'll warm up fast. Be generous with the bodyglide! Don't go out too fast. I think of marathons 10K at a time, mentally. So you basically have 4 sections and a tiny bit. And enjoy it! I always like to start long races with the Girl Talk "All Day" album.

Sympathy For The Devil is my start song for long races since it has a slow build and keeps pace in check for the first couple of miles.

There's actually a "method" out there that speaks to this, kind of, as far as chunking goes. I always wanted to try it. It's called the 10-10-10 method. You run the first ten miles at somewhere below your intended pace, the next ten at your intended pace, and the last 10(K) a little faster than race pace. Of course, then I gave up full marathons, so.

Ran a 5k this morning. We're expecting a heat wave, but it was overcast and cool, so I'll take it!
Plans to do yoga or walk this afternoon.

I did a 45 min Cody pop ride and it was a lot of fun. It was from earlier this month and it was all Latin flavored pop songs.
Even though I'm only on day 2 of eating better and actually making attempts to get back to my higher protein and lower carb ratio of food, I already feel better about my choices. The first few days are so hard but I know it will get easier.

Some of my favorite workout songs, since we're sharing...note these aren't all necessarily cardio focused, since I do a lot of lifting:
Courage - P!nk Move Bitch - Ludacris (lol I know. But it gets me feeling really pumped when I'm lifting) Lose Yourself - Eminem Natural - Imagine Dragons Fighter - Christina Aguilera Put the Gun Down - ZZ Ward Freedom - Beyonce Bulletproof - La Roux It's Not Right but It's Okay (Thunderpuss Mix) - Whitney Houston Disturbia - Rihanna S&M Remix - Rihanna & Britney Spears Turn Down For What - Lil Jon I Love It - Icona Pop & Charlie XCX Shingaling- Tom Swoon Run Boy Run - Woodkid

Unexpected rest day when my dog kept me up all night having repeated diarrhea in my bathroom. I'm exhausted. I want my regular rest day on Fridays still but I don't want to take two this week, so my new challenge is to push through until next Friday. Here's hoping. Oh no- poor puppy and poor you! Can you do a shorter workout on Friday/another day so you can recover a bit?

Hello!
It was raining and there was a potential for thunderstorms this afternoon, so I hit the treadmill and did a 20 minute HIiT with Adrian and got in two miles. I’ll do yoga after bedtime.
Have a lovely day!

I did a walk with Matty today and I set a new best output. I’m actually really enjoying working out on the tread more than on the bike.

I decided to try and transition the baby from 2 naps to 1 today so I didn’t get a workout in. I distracted him with the vacuum to keep him awake and got some cleaning done, but that’s about it. Now he’s in bed early and I could get on the treadmill once ds1 is in bed, but i think I’ll just save it for tomorrow. Food was fine today. Nothing to be proud of, but not terrible either. I need to chug some more water too because I got a terrible headache this afternoon that is finally going away after some ibuprofen and water.

Knocked out my 5k. I arranged my dinner so I could fit in a healthy dose of chocolate cake. 😂 I’m going to enjoy that while I watch the debate.

30 minute full body bike bootcamp with Jess 45 minute full body tread bootcamp with Andy
My DS was an absolute nightmare today and it was CD1. Bad combo so I had to sweat it out.
This was my first workout with Andy and I liked him. His playlist hit in all the right places. I will definitely try one of his classes again. Jumping on the tread after I’m fully warmed up from a bike workout it my new favorite. It feels so much smoother. Now I have to try to come down from the endorphins and 330pm latte.

I’ve had a glitch happen before and it was no problem. Just go into your workouts and you can do it there.

Just realized I hadn’t checked in yet. It’s been...a day.
I did Selena’s 45 min Country Rock Run and got in 3.5 miles. I was not feeling it, especially the first mile, bit glad to have it done. I did a 5 min post-run stretch with Robin, adding in pigeon stretches as my hips were super-tight from my long run on Saturday.

All of you talking about being Cody's age or younger are making me feel old I haven't gotten a workout in yet today because I had an early meeting. Instead, we just took a quick 2mi family walk with the dogs. I am going to hop on the treadmill and do some work on there in a bit and then I hope to do the Cody ride you all are talking about tonight. I did well cutting back on sugar yesterday and I felt a lot better because of it. So here is hoping day 2 goes just as well. I am two years older than Cody but I thought he was in his late 20s, so I am feeling old too!

I was able to walk on my lunch break at work today and let that count as exercise for the day which made for a more relaxed and laid back evening. My food was perfectly within my macros and I enjoyed it all and felt satisfied all day, so I feel like I am finishing out the month strong.
