Y'all know me, I'm always curious how others do things vs how I do them. So let's say you're following a program like I'm following P90X right now. If you miss a day, do you repeat the whole week the following week, or just call it a missed day in the schedule? no. i just pick up where i left off.

No, I would not repeat the whole week, just count it as a missed day, but I’m pretty breezy with following a workout program so maybe don’t go by me.

I'm sorry for the rough day Rusty Red. I went super light last night because of the day I had with my kids and it was hard not to yell at myself (for the workout and not parenting my best) and be nice to myself instead. We can do it! I have the last bit of grilled pork for lunch today, I may need to add in something else because that piece has a big chunk of bone in it. I made that barley soup again so maybe I'll have that too. I found a new protein bar that didn't have sugar alcohols in it, its kind of high on the calorie end and only 12g protein but it's coated in real dark chocolate (not the "health-food" tasting kind). It's nice to have once in a while because it makes me feel like I'm eating a legit candy bar.

I did my morning Zoom class, and then a 10min Peloton barre workout and the first day of the crush your core program. Food should be good as I have planned it out, which is really the challenge lately - not wandering into the kitchen at lunchtime/dinner wondering what I’m going to make and stuffing my face while I consider my options.

My kids will be the death of me today. Anyone interested in a bossy 5 year old or a whiney 3 year old with a jacked up a hand? Free to good home.
I did 2 miles doing Robin's newest 20 minute run, crush your core, and the intro to barre workout. It was hard but not enough. I think because it was the intro class and there was too much stand and talking about how to do stuff. I need to try one of the regular barre classes to decide how I feel about it still I think. I finished up with my favorite Wilpers stretch.
I weighed myself again and I'm still sitting right at that 23-25lbs lost range. Time to reign in my eating because obviously the free weight dump is over and if I want to drop the other 20lbs I gained I need to quite eating kid snacks and apple pie.

If you miss a day, do you repeat the whole week the following week, or just call it a missed day in the schedule? At best I may add some of what I missed to another workout day (if feasible), but otherwise if I miss a training day (whether in a half training cycle or something regarding lifting), I give myself a pass and just go on to the next day. I missed a few runs (including a couple of long runs) during my last half training and I don't regret it.

I still want to take my normal Friday rest day and it's a six day program, so I'll just call it a miss. It was yoga anyway, which while I realize can be beneficial, I'm not AS concerned with hitting. Thanks for the input!

Did a track workout this morning. 10 300s with 100 recovery. Total mileage was 5.5 miles.
I need to have a come to Jesus with myself about food and emotional eating. I just need to figure out how I want to do it.

Today was an active recovery day. I did 20 minutes of walk/jog on the treadmill. My 3 year old is bugging me to take a walk so I’ll likely get a walk around the neighborhood in later, too.

I’m WFH thanks to TS Beta. Hoping to get my run in around lunchtime.
Food is the same as yesterday, but I’m making turkey meatloaf for dinner.

I ran a 5k after work last night - it's been a while since I did an afternoon/evening run. I forgot how many people are out and about for me to avoid!
I did a 20 min peloton barre workout this morning, and it was interesting. I didn't feel much burn, but we'll see how I feel later today and tomorrow morning.
Hoping to get DD out for a bike ride this morning, and myself and the dog out for a walk later in the day.
Tracking yesterday was made interesting by the bag of tortilla chips on my kitchen counter. They're so salty and good, though - our grocery store makes them fresh.
I have to re-calibrate my whole meal plan because our imperfect box was not delivered last night as scheduled (and they informed me it's cancelled completely, not just delayed). It was something like $65 of produce (and a bit of meat, and snacks), so I really don't have the veggies I planned on having for any of our meals this week. Extra frustrating because I already did my Costco trip and regular store trip, and I would have purchased all the stuff then, rather than go to the store twice in the same week.

CF this morning and I am dead. It was ALL legs (130 95# back squats and 120 box jumps). I had to rest on my way up the one flight of stairs at work this morning. Me thinks tomorrow will be a rest day, through no choice of my own.
Mentally I'm off today. I just feel.....unsettled. I can't even put my finger on it. I started to type out a long post, but I can't even articulate what I'm trying to say, so suffice it to say that H was a dick this weekend and I can't let it go. I need to get out of this headspace, because my being pissed and standoffish to him isn't helping me. I wish I could put my thoughts/feels into words, but they're spinning around in my head and I can't make sense of anything in order to even bring it up to him. Ugh, this sucks.
Maybe I need more sleep.

I knocked out Matty's 45 min 80s run (from 3/27/20) this morning (3.24 miles). It was a gorgeous upper-40s morning and I felt like I could run for a good bit longer. Hopefully, I have that feeling for my long run (5 miles) this weekend. I was annoyed because it prompted me to turn on location services and I didn't catch it until about a mile into the run but I had Runkeeper to track my mileage. It just bugs that the Peloton record isn't accurate. I know, let it go....
I did RK's 5 min post-run stretch afterwards.
My 50th Peloton run is coming up on Thursday (9/24), so I'll be doing Chase's live Hip Hop Run at 10:30am EST. It's 20 minutes, so I'll tag on his Punk Rock Run to get 40 minutes total. I'll be running outside since I don't have access to a tread at my mom's.
Can't wait to try my first barre class tomorrow.

I did 20 minute HIIT cardio with Jess and day 3 crush your core. I started a 10 minute barre but it immediately felt too dancy and then there were planks which I had enough of, so i stopped. I’ve never done barre and I have absolutely zero rhythm or dance skills so I’m not sure it’s for me.
Cereal for breakfast, salad with grilled chicken for lunch, grilled salmon, asparagus and rice for dinner. Snacks tbd

Still here. Running. 4 mi yesterday. 4.5 mi this morning. I will do some sort of Peloton this evening. I might give one of the new Barre workouts a try.
I'm feeling frustrated because I feel like I've stepped it up in terms of diet this month– no refined carbs or sugar, no alcohol, (and no dairy, but that's pretty much my norm), but I haven't seen any movement on the scale. I'm hoping for a woosh soon– it would definitely be motivating. COVID baking and drinking led to about a 10lb weight gain, and I really want to get it off. Not that it would all come off this month, but something!

Sometimes l’ll add it in to a different day, but not always. Like last week, I missed my Monday workout, but Wednesday was short so I added a shortened version of what I missed. Yesterday I missed a Monday workout, but I don’t want to do what’s prescribed on Wednesday this week so I did Monday today and I’ll do Tuesday tomorrow and be back on track by Thursday.

I know you saw my FB post about (SLIGHTLY) cutting back my exercise during the week. How long would you give that before panicking if the scale starts to creep up? A month?

It will likely go up then come back down once your body acclimates to the change.
