Hiiii, can I go here?
I’ve been following the motivation threads off and on for a couple months, you ladies are awesome! I am on week 4 of WW and doing pretty well. After I had DD2 in May 2018, the baby weight really never went away. After my first DD in 2014, the weight just disappeared by month one so I was hoping for that the second go around 😂. I’m hoping that the motivation I have now will last because I have a history of horrible eating and little exercise. Right now, I’m killing it and feel amazing and am down 8 lbs so I’m trying to stay in a good mindset.
Anyways, I’m rambling. Here to stay and be motivated with you all!

I did a 20 minute run on the treadmill then a 20 minute class on the bike. It was one of those workouts that felt like I pushed myself but I felt energized and great after.
Meals today are good and I have calories left over to eat a big slice of birthday cake later.
B- Kodiak pancakes with blueberries L- scrambled eggs with spinach D- grilled turkey and cheese

Weird food day. I had my usual breakfast, then I had to bribe DD2 with milkshakes to let us do her wound care and dressing change. It still did not go well, it's a damn nightmare. But I took her to McDonald's anyways afterwards and got us all milkshakes, so my lunch was a small chocolate milkshake. Dinner was half a Wegmans turkey sub. I really want Greek yogurt right now but some asshat in our neighborhood is blowing off fireworks and keeping my kids awake, so I'm probably stuck sitting with them for who knows how long. So long yogurt dessert.

I redid the Whitney ride today bc I saw some friends on it and I loved it just as much as the first time. And the. Added on a 20min tabata that almost killed me and my legs were literally shaking for about 10min after. And I didn’t even PR even though I tried to lol (I was 9 points away).

Happy Saturday! I hope you’re all ready for some sappiness this morning.
I just finished my 4 mile run which I’ll detail below, and even though my time wasn’t phenomenal, I walked away feeling so proud and accomplished. Almost 10 months ago to the day, I got a spin bike and cautiously came in here and start posting. I weighed 250 pounds and I was in a bad mental place, had very little self-esteem and confidence, and almost no physical stamina. The collective knowledge, encouragement, and accountability of this group gave me the tools that I needed to change my mindset and my life. Despite struggling with the scale recently, I have lost 65 pounds in the past 10 months, became a runner (something I NEVER thought would happen), and I have a newfound love for my body and confidence in myself that I can truly set out to accomplish anything. If feels crazy to say all of this, considering I’ve never met most of you IRL, haha. But I really am grateful to all of you for helping me get take my body and my life back. So thank you.

today was suppose to be 4.25 miles so i planned on rounding it up to 5 miles. i could barely finish 4. the first 2 miles were absolutely brutal. my entire body was heavy. worst run in a long time.
I will hydrate extra today and keep my alcohol in check and do a better run tomorrow, hopefully.
Food; Cooking out all day long. hot dogs, burgers, baked beans, grilled corn, salad. give me it all. fireworks to follow and ice cream cones. (no party, just our family of 4)

And now for the run: my time wasn’t great, but it was on par with my other race times, so not terrible. It was the same location and similar time and conditions to the terrible 3 mile race I ran a few weeks ago. There were three things though that really made me feel like I absolutely killed this race in comparison: 1. My bladder held strong, so I hydrated and prepared properly 2. I was able to run the entire 4 miles 3. I paced myself and listened to my body and had a great, strong finish. Although I wish I was faster, one of the things I have really improved in with my running is my mental game. Even though my body was tired, my mind knew that I could get it done and so I did. I also had killer splits, which shows that I’m improving in my pacing and stamina. The fact that I ran a mile in 10:07, which is a pretty fast pace for me, after running 3 other miles is definitely something to be proud of. So I’m proud and sappy over here this morning. Let’s see how long it takes before my kids suck the good mood right out of me😬 [\spoiler]

I did the 30 minute all for one run this morning and loved it. I'll definitely do that one again. I did a couple extra minutes to get to 3 miles, then I did a 20 minute prenatal yoga.
I just had avocado toast and scrambled eggs that DD2 ate a fair bit of. She's so basic, she loves avocado toast.
Other food today should be chicken curry and brown rice for lunch. Then we're grilling hotdogs and veggies for dinner tonight.
Going to just stay on top of my water and enjoy my day!

Everyone is killing it this month- so inspiring! I got a Peloton bike at the beginning of June, and I’m loving it! I’ve also been keeping up with my runs and fitting strength training in. I’m pretty proud of myself because my home life is so chaotic right now. My food still needs to be tightened up, but I’m getting there. My original goal was to lose 10 pounds by the the end of the summer, but I’d be fine if I got there by the end of the year. budders how did you work on the mental part of running? I’ve been running for years and I can never get faster than a 10-11 minute mile. I know a lot of it is mental, but I can’t seem to push myself out of my comfort zone.

Happy 4th! 💥💥💥🎉
I slept in a little bit so it was 75 degrees by the time I got up to do today’s Road to the 5K workout. I’m starting Week 3 and it was another 30 min Beginner 5K Race Prep with Becs. It was perfect for today as my legs were a little gassed from yesterday’s ride. Doing the 5 min warm up (All For One with RK) helped.
Despite it being warm and muggy and wearing a mask (my area is mandatory), I pushed myself and jogged most of the recovery portions and pushed my pace into the 12s for the run portions. 😓I ended up with negative splits and considering the temp jumped to 81 🌞by the time I finished, I’m happy.
I did 10 minutes of Standing Yoga with Aditi.
And since I’m home for the next several days, I found myself staring at the bike and hopping on to do Emma’s Disney ride again. And yep, I was singing along and doing my own port de bras (arm movements for non-dancers 😉.
I finished with a 5 min post-ride stretch with Robin.
I’m feeling really good as I’m sitting here, eating some mint chocolate Chobani and getting ready to watch E1 of I’ll Be Gone in the Dark.
Which probably translates to a nap later.
Hope everyone has a great day!

budders, 🤜🏼 You are seriously amazing. Not only are you KILLING it, you’re inspiring others, me included, to keep pushing towards the best versions of ourselves. I’ve had some tough days these past few months between the pandemic, my mom’s hospitalizations, and work stress and this place has been an absolute godsend. I appreciate everyone here so much! 💖💖💖

4.5 mi this morning. It’s already so hot! I need to rehydrate. I baked two pies for today— blueberry and apricot, because I had a zillion of both from my CSA, so food will probably be indulgent. But there will also be veggie burgers and lots of vegetables, so some balance.

budders way to go! If I do ONE thing today it must be work out. I’m planning my last workout of PWR At Home week 1. B - scrambled eggs on a tortilla L - peppers and hummus, protein shake D - pesto chicken with grape tomatoes in pitas I’ll probably still be hungry so maybe cheese or almonds.

I did the all for one run this morning and then added Selena’s 20 minute interval run. My workout and food/calories were a mess yesterday so this morning helped me feel like I was back on track. Yesterday H wanted to pack a picnic and have everyone ride bikes to a park that’s about a mile away and then do hill runs. It was 95 degrees, my 5 year old declared he couldn’t bike anymore, so at some points I was carrying my heavy backpack with all the waters, blankets, plus my son’s backpack of books that he had to bring, plus walking two bikes. The hill runs sucked and I walked half of them, but it made me feel so out of shape while I watched my H just effortlessly float up the damn hills.
Now off to my ILs house to hang out at the pool and have lunch. It’ll just be us and my MIL and FIL.

I've completed 5 weeks of my c210k program. I've been walk/jogging three days per week. Now I'm going to add some toning exercises on my off days. I've always found it most difficult to remember strength training so we'll see how this goes.
This morning I did three miles and ran the entire time BUT I did stop halfway to allow DD to play at the park so it wasn't a continuous three miles. Still super proud of myself for making so much progress in just 5 weeks.

I did Robins Hamilton ride this morning after watching Hamilton last night. It’s fun, if you’re a fan of the music definitely check it out (you can search for broadway rides and it’s hers from 2016). I followed that with a 30 min intervals and arms with Cody and then a 10 min arms with Cody.
My legs are really tired now, so I’m looking forward to a full rest day tomorrow!

I moved leg day to tomorrow since I’m working Monday and it can be a rest day. So I did the full body day on the training plan.
20 minute hip hop ride with Ben (new PR - quite a way to warm up) 20 + 10 minute fully body strength 20 minute HIIT ride with Tunde
