I was pretty low on calories yesterday and my workout today wasn't great. I've never really noticed stuff like that before, so I don't know if I'm just making it up, or if it really did have an impact. I’m so late to this but this is in fact a thing. What you ate yesterday (or how much) affects your performance today, especially for carbs. Underfueling is a huge problem for active people. Eat more!

I had to move out of a deficit with my current workouts. I could not maintain what I was supposed to do.

Short one today: T25 Speed 2.0 One of my favorites. Working till 6, then heading downtown to dinner and then we'll stop somewhere else for a few drinks. Tomorrow I'm going to a murder mystery dinner with some friends so I have to pull my costume together I had a frosted Toasted Almond while at the beach and it's all I can think about. It's amaretto, Kahlua, Baileys, vanilla ice cream, and ice all put in the blender to make a yummy frosted drink. I think I'm going to need to recreate that this weekend. Well. I’ve never heard of this before but now I need one. It’s like a boozy delicious milkshake? Exactly. I'm not a big frozen drink person but I love amaretto so I gave it a try and now I want it all the time

Benchmark run and it was harder than it should have been. Followed it up with Andy's 30 min 80s fun walk. It was just what I needed.
Going to plan out healthy meals to keep me fueled this week. Probably hitting up the pool this afternoon followed by tacos.
OHHHHH how could I forget - but i squeaked in my 100 miles for July! 100.15 miles to be exact...Oh that reminds me...new thread. lol

30 min hip hop ride with Tunde (playlist was 🔥) 10 min core strength with Matty - this was so good because it was different 20 min HIIT ride with Tunde
Today felt a little hard but I feel accomplished and glad to have done it!

I did Alex’s live 45 minute ride and got a PR! That one was a PR I didn’t think I would hit for a while, especially since I have been so tired lately. I’m really happy I did!

I can feel when I haven’t eaten enough, for sure (not that that happens often 😂). I forgot to get that recipe for you, I will do that after I shower!

I'm not a big frozen drink person but I love amaretto so I gave it a try and now I want it all the time On my honeymoon I had this drink called the dirty banana or something. I am not even a fan of bananas but it sounds similar- a frozen ice creamy banana, chocolate, and coffee flavored concoction. I was obsessed with it!

This is exactly what i needed to hear this morning. I have been struggling and this is exactly why! Under fueling. Glad to hear it! It’s so hard to balance wanting to make the most of your workouts, and listening to that nagging diet culture voice saying “you’re eating too much”. Because you’re not! So many of us aren’t eating enough - and not bc we dont want to, but rather bc we think we shouldn’t.

Today I got all dressed in my workout clothes (can I just say how much I love that working out at home means that I don't need the extra shirt layer? I am all about that sports bra only life now and I am never going back!) this morning and then...I just sat on the couch. Going along with the rest day convo of the previous page, I think this was my body telling me I needed a rest day because I have really been looking forward to my workouts lately and today I just couldn't. I did Chelsea's latest Breathe In, Speak Up meditation just now to keep my daily Peloton streak going (the meditation made me tear up at one point. I LOVE Chelsea!) and I am going to hop into bed soon.
Yesterday was my first day back to work and I got out of bed early so I could get a workout in. But, of course, the baby woke up the second I tried to creep down the stairs. So I grab him, stick him in the high chair, and turn on my bike...and the internet isn't working. Such a mess. It finally kicked on in time for me to squeeze in a 15 min 90s ride with Tunde, who always has the best playlists, I swear. Anyway, it's weird being back at work and being AT work (I'm a teacher) and trying to continue IF at work is going to be a challenge.
My goal for August is to plan out my week of workouts in advance. I feel like I'm expecting too much of myself and then I get mad at myself when I don't make it happen. I need to set a reasonable plan. I meant to do that in July, but I never did. But I just got a new planner, so I'm feeling all organized and shit.

Yesterday was Insanity Live. It was one of the videos they use to teach instructors. Last night was the murder mystery dinner which was great. My character ended up being the murderer. Today is our normal Sunday out for breakfast, grocery shopping and Sunday dinner with my husband's family.
