Morning!
We're meeting my sister and her family at their pool in a bit; it's kind of overcast (?) here thanks to the Saharan dust cloud or whatever the hell is lingering over us but the kids will enjoy it.
DH is going to stay here and do some yard work; we're waiting til the fall to really start ripping out and replacing but he's got some trimming, etc. to do.
Tonight sister and family are coming over to eat so BIL can see the house.

H & M are taking turns (not very well) on playing donkey Kong on the Wii. Every time H dies he shouts out, “are you kidding me?” Cracks me up.

I drove to the beach with the 3 youngest last night. My friend and her 2 daughters are on their way to spend the day with us. DH and DS have a hockey thing at home today and will come down tomorrow. We are planning to stay all week and then the following Monday DD is supposed to return to gymnastics (but I feel like the governor hasn’t really approved that so who knows).
Monday I have 3 coworkers coming for the day and
Tuesday is our anniversary so we have a sitter and a dinner reservation.

I kept trying to check in yesterday. I would start reading, get distracted, read again and then start a response only to be distracted again.
It’s overcast and the forecast has the threat of thunderstorms. I don’t see a lot of anything happening today. I do have a bunch of things in the basement that I want to give to my pregnant cousin so if I have the motivation, I’ll go down there to gather and prepare those things.

Morning! I need to get some groceries at some point. My nieces graduation party is at 3 and my SIL said she still wants us to come, so we will go out there for a bit.
One of my coworkers is doing some electrical work at my neighbors house this afternoon, so we will probably have some beers with him when we get home.
And fireworks...h and e were already talking about hitting the tents today. God help my bank account.

Morning. The heat broke late last night, amazing, it is still very humid though. The kids were still at my parents this morning so we could sleep in for a bit, which was great. We where hungry and lazy so we ordered in breakfast, French toast, croissants, eggs, fresh orange juice... I kind of wanted to text them and tell to keep them for another night  . |

MY KID COMES HOME TODAY!!!
I've already gotten the "no rush" text from my mom. They're trying to soak in every last minute together. I wish she lived closer, then I could have free babysitting. LOL

Hi.
Nothing fun happening for us today. I have two walls to finish painting and I may just do the trim if I feel up to it. I do have some errands to run- trip to Costco, meet my coworker to get some plants, etc- and just house cleaning. Hoping MH will take the boys to a park so I can do some it without the boys at my feet.
Last night was the first time in a while I paid real attention to the news and listening to the health officials in Texas and Arizona has me a little worried. I saw the numbers and knew cases were up, but gosh they are predicting bad scenarios for the coming weeks there.

inthekitty it's a stable lull. I browse the listings on Glassdoor and indeed daily, but very few if any are in my pay grade. We have a meeting at work on Monday, so we'll see what they say as far as updates go. 🤷

She said now they’re expecting our peak to be the end of July, which probably means we won’t be going back to school. Fucking Abbott. She also said their vaccine specialist came to the hospital this week and they’re expecting a vaccine around the 3rd quarter of 2021. |

Morning! I had yesterday off work because I thought we’d head out to the summer lot but the rain decided for us that we’re staying home. B’s last day of grade 1 was yesterday!! I am so proud of him, he did so well on his report card but and he was so sad that he wasn’t going to see his friends  poor guy. I started to clean up and organize all his school stuff for keepsakes this morning, which led to a complete organization of all stationary and craft stuff in the house, then to the storage area in the house where I cleaned out all the empty boxes of products that we got from Christmas to now, so much space taken up with that stuff but we like to keep it for a while in case we have to return anything. ...and it’s only 10:34am, I have no idea what we’re doing for the rest of the day. |

Happy Saturday! L woke up fever free which is great, but N came in crying at 2am and promptly threw up in our bed. She definitely had too many treats yesterday. We went for ice cream and then they sweet talked us into having grape soda. Plus whatever treats they had at my parents yesterday. I think that, on top of a long bike ride in the heat got to her. She went back to sleep and has felt fine since.
I just got home from an hour and half massage. Omg. It was soooo amazing. She really got in there, i feel like I’m going to be bruised, but in a good way. Haha. We have friends coming over in a bit and will grill pizzas for dinner so I’m chugging water before opening some rosé.

Movie rec: There are 2 Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies on Disney+. I was shocked because I actually enjoyed them and found them funny too. They were big hits with the kids.
