Thanks, joelies. I just still feel so weird about it. I talked to Pete, because we work for the same company and he’s a Director. I wanted his thoughts since he gets the same guidance from and directly supervised employees. He agreed she is likely singling me out and the CEO is having meetings every single day advising g managers to be flexible, so she’s not adhering to the professed “company values.” All these years and I’ve never had a bad review, warning, write up, nothing so it seems so weird to feel like it’s come to this. I am feeling pretty sad and disappointed about it. That is extremely frustrating and unprofessional given the circumstances. This is a freaking global pandemic with shelter in place...lordy. I hope she gets the message since leadership saying to cut everyone some slack.. We had a organizational wide staff meeting yesterday and one of the first things the COO said was to managers to be flexible since schools are closed and this is extremely hard for parents to manage. If work can be done at off times, then they should allow it. I definitely would be fired if I had that software though...I also need to do a crap ton of stuff this weekend.

guster we have been using Seesaw as a means of communication since the start of the school year and just recently started using it for learning. I like that we can do reading or word sound activities and get real feedback because we can record the answers. When we submit the assignment the teacher reviews and send a recorded comment back. Which C loves because he’s getting reinforcement from someone other than me. So I have enjoyed it. We are using the following: Google Classroom Zoom Freckle Seesaw Epic Books One other I can’t remember We do have a single sign on platform called Clever that will connect us to everything except Zoom, which is helpful. It’s a lot but I’ve found Seesaw to be very user friendly.

tallb dh just went up to bed and I let him know I may not make it overnight because I had a coughing fit and a sore throat that’s getting worse. I was joking but a little hint of concern as to why my throat hurts. My stomach issues seem to have passed though.

I felt better this week when I drank lots of green tea. The digestive part seems to be an early symptom and goes away, but can be the only symptom in kids.

C and I bike ride but we don’t stop to talk to anyone. I doubt I have it but I’ll keep an eye for other symptoms. It’s probably allergies.

Poor H, tgrimes . I'm so sorry you both had to go through that. Can they sedate him even a little in the office to try again? Unfortunately, I don’t think so.

tallb I’m 90% sure I had it. I believe jewels and others when they say their family experiences some vague but persistent illness that could have been COVID, too. I don’t want to freak you out, I say this in hopes it comforts you because if I could fight it off with my garbage immunodeficiency then likely you are in for a rough few weeks, but nothing critical or life-threatening. I really believe my saving grace was staying CRAZY hydrated. I’m talking at least a gallon of water and tea a day (combined). Since your lungs require more fluid when you’re sick, it can’t hurt. And when I was good about it, I felt like my lungs were much better for that day and the next. Take it easy and stay safe.

You should see my face. No one was supervising them or knew where they were for an hour?? Right? I can just imagine all the mischief my children would get into.

guster we've been using SeeSaw and I really like it (we started it in the fall but really only to view work, not to produce work). It's very interactive with the teacher, which is great. The only negative, IMO, is that the app only works for viewing work, so you have to upload the work via computer (like if you take a photo of a drawing, writing sample, etc). So it's just an extra step sometimes. But otherwise it's great. The program I see people in our district complaining about is Schoolology, but I think it's mostly older elementary kids using it around here. Do you have the seesaw for family or the seesaw class app? I just downloaded today but the class seesaw app has a function that looks like you can upload from there. I will let you know on Monday when I have to submit work.

I heard from a very reliable resource that the covid test is only 60% sensitivity so there are a lot of false negatives. Someone else I know who had it, but tested negative even though her husband and kids had it, said she was so thirsty and “dry” that she is drinking 100oz of water per day.

Yeah I had all the symptoms and never that combination before: nausea, diarrhea, fevers, relentless sweating, fatigue, headaches, muscle aches, sore throat. Negative for flu. Now fatigue, I have always so that doesn’t mean much to me, but having all those symptoms together.🤷♀️

tgrimes im sure you’ve probably already thought of this, but any chance a lollipop in his mouth would help with the crying? He had his pacifier. I can try a lollipop. The problem is I think it freakin hurts, you know? He's putting tweezers through the hole in his ear drum to get the tube. I can't blame him for crying. I had this once as a kid when I was around 8/9, it hurts like hell, it is over quickly, but I still remember it. I’m so sorry.

tallb tingling arms and legs are sometimes part of my migraines. Do you get migraines at all? I do not. I have read that some people have this as a side effect of covid though. I had night sweats wed-fri of last week, diarrhea on sat, and then some weakness/feeling off/tired most of this week. So that's my only guess. Or very well psychosomatic and I'm making it all up, which is a real possibility. Yuck! I hope it's nothing. Sometimes I get tingly limbs/face with anxiety.

I just looked through her work and nothing has changed. It looks like they are using seesaw as a collection and feedback system. It makes much more sense after two weeks of daily emails back and forth between the classroom and the specials teachers.

ETA: So there is a seesaw class app sepArate from family? I’ll have to go investigate... ETA2: aha! I had no idea. Just found the class app. Thank you!
