Hi! I start work soon but I don’t want to. I stayed up late last night working on something for them. I will clock in check for anything important and kind of lazily do my work today.

chrisy01 I haven’t heard from him. I was up MOTN. And fell back asleep early this morning. I woke up when B woke me up at 8! So we are getting ready for the school day and he hasn’t texted or anything so he may still be sleeping! TGIF. Longest. week. ever.
The 6 y.o. seems to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed and has copped an attitude this morning. Not delightful. We're working on school stuff now.

Morning and happy Friday. I already ran 3.4 miles this morning.
H is home from work today. He got a call from his boss when we were eating dinner last night. One of their employees has a family member with confirmed COVID-19. They're paying everyone to stay home today and cleaning all offices. For some reason, they think they should all be able to go back to work Monday, even though they're still waiting for the test on their employee.
E had a 103.9 fever before she went to bed last night. Gave her some motrin, she ended up in our bed since we had a bad storm come through (so much hail). She was up at 5, temp was 98.7. Thirty minutes later when I checked it, it was up to 102.5. So I gave her some motrin this morning and am waiting to see if it goes down. She has no other symptoms, although she dose say her throat is sore occasionally. But I think that's because she thinks cough drops are candy.
Since H is home today, I'm going to try to get to the store.

Weird day here! We are all home! MH works 3pm-midnight though. Thinking pizza and movie night for the kids and I. Hoping for early bedtimes so I can catch up on my shows and wine.

mwhip oh man, sorry E is sick. That temp is pretty high, maybe strep? I would maybe call your ped and see if they want to see her since it's been a few days.

Sorry she is still sick mwhip . Poor girl. Home-school is done for the week! (Can I get an amen?!) and the kids are outside playing while DH does the yard. The thought of 2+ more months of this kind of makes me want to run away from home...but there's no where to go. |

Out of curiosity, what's a normal patient-load for you on an average day? My sister reports that BIL's OBGYN practice has slowed down a lot. Obviously babies are still being born but non-emergent surgeries and office visits, etc. have been rescheduled. They're a big practice under an even bigger 'umbrella', but the doctors are taking a temporary pay cut and they had to cut the nurses' hours. You think of healthcare as being kind of 'recession proof' but it seems nothing but the grocery and TP industries are immune from this :/ |

Hi girls. TGIF.
I have to vent a little (or a lot). I have a former coworker who was on my team and we had the same exact title and experience (I had a few more industry credentials). I just learned she is now a Director. Which is awesome, and it doesn’t have anything to do with me because we are in different areas of operations, but man, seeing that really solidified how much birthing and caring for babies has not helped my career.
Also, my job is ridiculous right now. We always have this software system that tracks literally every move our mouse makes, and we get in trouble if we have too much “idle time.” This morning my boss sent me an email saying there was a lot of idle time yesterday. Like yes, I bet there was because my job is not meant to be performed while supervising children!
It’s a PITA and I am feeling annoyed because nobody else in our department has young kids/multiple kids.

I called and left a message for E's pediatrician's nurse. I have a feeling I know what they're going to say, but my mom was now guilting me about not calling her doctor. And with the weekend coming up, I guess it will help ease everyone's mind. Oh man cagoldi, I hope my company never hears of that software for your mouse. Mine sits idle lots of times now that I'm at home. If there isn't anything to answer, what else am I supposed to do. I'm sitting here, waiting on things to come in and answer! And also getting ready to attempt the store! |

The worst part is that we have literally no work right now. In our meeting yesterday, she told us to make up projects.
But I am supposed to sit here wiggling my house staring at a blank screen while I neglect my kids, apparently.

Give one of the kids your mouse and let them move it regularly. She'll be amazing with how much you're getting done the way these kids move! |
